FIONA'S POV.

I wanted to believe him. Something about the way he looked at me, the faint softness in his otherwise hard expression, made me think he wasn’t my enemy.

“Why are you here, Lucien?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Because I couldn’t stand by anymore. What Ricky’s doing... it’s wrong. And if I can do anything to stop it, I will.”

The sincerity in his voice made my chest tighten. For so long, I’d felt isolated, and powerless. But now, with him he stood abruptly, his movements fluid and purposeful. “You need water,” he said.

I nodded, unable to deny the dryness in my throat, the ache in my body.

Lucien strode to the door and pounded on it. The sound reverberated through the room, making me flinch. A moment later, it creaked open, revealing one of the guards.

“What do you want?” the guard grunted, his tone dismissive.

“She needs water,” Lucien said coldly, his tone brooking no argument.

“She’s had enough,”

FIONA’S POV.My breaths were shallow, my heart hammering in my chest.“Are you sure about this?” I whispered, my voice trembling despite my attempt to sound brave. Lucien glanced back at me, his eyes sharp and focused. “It’s now or never. We wait too long, and they’ll double the guards.” I swallowed hard, the weight of what we were about to do settling heavily on my shoulders. Escaping wasn’t just about me anymore—it was about survival, about not letting Ricky win, about finding Marcellus and Raphael. Lucien turned back to the door, his hand gripping the edge as he peeked out into the dimly lit hallway. The light flickered ominously, casting long shadows against the damp walls. “Stay close to me,” he murmured. With a final glance back, he pushed the door open silently, motioning for me to follow. My bare feet pressed against the cold, uneven floor as I crept behind him, every step echoing in my ears. The silence was deafening, broken only by the distant hum of machinery. “

I shook my head, though my body told a different story. My muscles ached from days of confinement, my skin marked by the cruel hands of Ricky’s guards.“I’m fine,” I murmured, not wanting to burden him further. He didn’t press me, but the concern in his eyes was unmistakable. We moved in silence for what felt like hours, the forest gradually giving way to a rocky incline. The moonlight filtered through the trees, casting eerie shadows that danced across the uneven ground. “Almost there,” Lucien said from behind us, his voice barely above a whisper. Raphael stopped, turning to look at him. “How far?” Lucien pointed ahead. “Just over the ridge. It’s an old hunter’s cabin—abandoned, but sturdy enough to keep us safe for the night.” Marcellus glanced at me, his brow furrowed. “Can you make it?” “I’ll manage,” I said, forcing a small smile. His lips pressed into a thin line, but he nodded, wrapping an arm around my waist to steady me as we climbed. The cabin came into vie

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   A startling confession

FIONA's POV The soft murmurs of voices floated in and out of my dreams, their indistinct tones teasing my subconscious. It felt as though they were right next to me, then suddenly far away, like whispers carried by the wind. The warmth of the blankets cocooned me, and for the first time in days—or was it weeks?—I felt safe. My body ached in places I didn’t know it could, but the pain was dulled by the comfort of the plush mattress beneath me. Slowly, the fog of sleep lifted, and I opened my eyes. The room I found myself in was bathed in dim, warm light. The curtains were half-drawn, allowing slivers of sunlight to streak across the wooden floor. The faint scent of cedarwood and something more elusive—something distinctly him—wrapped around me. I knew instantly where I was: Marcellus’ room. The room was massive, yet there was something intimate about it. The furniture was minimalistic but undeniably elegant. A large oak desk stood in the corner, its surface littered with papers

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Anywhere but here.

Fiona's POVI'm the most unlucky person in the world. That was all I could think about as I knelt on the ground cleaning the bathroom floor with a toothbrush. That was my stepmother's way of punishing me for waking up late even though I was sick. “Make it sparkle! I want to see my face in those tiles when you're done” My stepsister mocked me as she passed by the guest bathroom. I ignored her as I'd grown accustomed to the insults and unfair treatment I received in my own house. My back was sore and aching when I finally finished after hours of cleaning. My fever had gone up but of course, no one cared about that. I joined the rest of the family in the living room and sat down for lunch when my father snapped at me.“What do you think you're doing?” His voice startled me.“I-I want to eat…” “Then go to the kitchen and wait for the leftovers. Don't be greedy” I still found it hard to believe just how terribly my own father treated me, especially since he married my stepmother.“But

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   What betrayal is this?

Fiona’s POV“What?” I asked, clearly shocked before a sting of betrayal enveloped me.“He'll come for you soon so go make yourself look presentable” My father dismissed me like he hadn't just given me the biggest news of my life. How could he just sell me, like some property? What the heck is my life for then? Simply nothing. A thing to be discarded. My mind was spinning in all directions. I wanted to escape and run but in my current condition, I wouldn't get far before my father would drag me back into the house. “Go now!” His voice startled me and I forced my battered body to get up. I wore a baggy sweater over my clothes as my head continued to spin. I didn't know what to do and I didn't have enough time to think because there was soon a knock at our door. The blood drained from my face as I stood frozen in my room fearing my fate. My stepmother barged into my room with a mocking smile on her face. Then she grabbed me by my neck.“You're finally going to be out of our lives you l

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   A new place to call home?

Fiona’s POVI was in the back of the car for several hours until we reached a grand majestic building that closely resembled a castle. That was where Marcellus lived and it was miles away from home. I was fully in werewolf territory and a human. We met some guards along the way and they all bowed their heads in his presence. My eyes kept dancing around the place in awe of it all. “You must be tired but first, I'll introduce you to the others” Marcellus spoke before he continued walking. I rushed after him, struggling to keep up with his pace. What others was he talking about? As soon as we walked through the huge mahogany doors, I knew. There were about fifty other women all dressed in fine clothing. They definitely weren't maids unless he just happened to be so kind to his slaves. That was what I was going to be after all. The women were all so beautiful that I felt insignificant in their presence. “This is Fiona. I just got her and she'll be joining you ladies in court” His voi

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   The devil you know…

Fiona’s POV The next few days I spent trying to adjust to my new surroundings but it was proving to be a lot more tasking than I'd expected. No one seemed to be interested in talking to me or relating with me. Whenever I passed, I'd see them whispering about me. I spent most of my time picking up books from the library to read Lena hadn't done anything yet but it already felt like I was in hell. Once I'd recovered completely I started to take walks around the estate and explore the mansion on my own since Lena had refused to show me around like Marcellus had asked. On one such day when I was walking around, I got lost and ended up in a wing of the mansion I hadn't been to before. I was trying to find my way back when I heard music coming from one of the rooms. I knocked on the door hoping whoever was inside would be able to give me directions back to my room but I didn't get a response. I twisted the door handle and the door opened revealing a room with similar details as mine exce

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   My little human

MARCELLUS’ POV.I could see her cheeks flush red; she bit subconsciously against her lower lip, averting her gaze from mine. I loved how innocent yet stubborn she was.“Come closer,” I ordered her, not for once taking my eyes off her. She swallowed a visible lump in her throat, taking slow steps towards me.“Closer.” I asserted, she took slow steps yet again; I was running low on my patience, and I yanked her by the arm, causing her to lurch forward, stumbling against my chest.“I'm so sorry, your highness… I didn't see… I didn't mean to” She apologized, her lips quivering from fear. An amused smile settled on my lips as I trailed my fingers along her cheeks and then her lips; slowly they moved towards her chin, raising her eyes to meet with mine.“Marcellus, call me Marcellus when it’s just us… And don't shy away from me; you have beautiful eyes, Fiona." She blushed even harder hearing my words; I was fighting the urge I had in me not to sink down my teeth into her skin and claim he

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Burden

FIONA'S POV.The world was a haze of pain and disorientation. My head throbbed with a dull ache, and my limbs felt heavy, as though weighed down by invisible chains. The cold air stung my skin, a cruel reminder of the damp, unforgiving environment I was trapped in. I blinked slowly, trying to piece together my fragmented memories. Where am I? The last thing I remembered was the warehouse. The fight. The chaos. And then... nothing. I struggled to sit up, my muscles protesting with every movement. The room I was in was stark and unfamiliar—gray walls, a concrete floor, and a single flickering light overhead. There was no warmth, no comfort. Just cold, sterile emptiness. My heart pounded as I took in my surroundings. A metal door loomed on one side of the room, its surface scratched and dented. On the other side was a small table, a tray of untouched food resting on top of it. The sight of the food made my stomach churn. I didn’t trust it. The silence was oppressive, broken onl

But tell me, Marcellus, how does it feel knowing you can’t protect her? That she’s suffering because of you?" I couldn’t take it anymore. I stepped forward, my wolf growling beneath the surface. "Enough, Ricky! If you don’t give her back, I swear—" "Swear what?" Ricky interrupted, his eyes gleaming with malice. "You’ll kill me? Tear me apart? Go ahead, Raphael. I’d love to see you try." Before I could respond, Marcellus placed a hand on my shoulder, stopping me. His touch was firm, grounding me in the moment. "We didn’t come here to fight," he said, his voice steady. "We came for Fiona. Take us to her, Ricky. Now." Ricky tilted his head, his grin returning. "Oh, you’ll see her soon enough," he said cryptically. "But first, let’s talk. It’s been so long since we’ve had a proper family reunion." Without waiting for a response, he turned and began wal

RAPHAEL’S POVAs soon as we stepped out of the helicopter, the cold morning air hit my face like a warning. The valley was quiet, almost too quiet, and every muscle in my body tensed as I focused on the figure standing before us. It was Ricky. His arms were spread wide like he was greeting us as old friends, but his smile? It was anything but friendly."Marcellus," Ricky called out, his voice echoing across the open field. "Welcome. It’s been too long, brother."I didn’t miss the sarcasm dripping from his words. My eyes darted to Marcellus, his jaw clenched tight, and his fists balled at his sides. I could feel the rage rolling off him, a storm barely contained.Ricky stood there, calm as ever, dressed like he’d just walked out of some high-end club. His dark hair was slicked back, his suit sharp and spotless. But his eyes… His eyes told a different story. They gleamed with a sick kind of pleasure, as if he was enjoying this.I stepped forward, putting myself slightly in front of Marc
