A Decision

[Tatiana’s POV]

I don’t speak as Knight takes me in with so much damn hope in his eyes that it makes me want to go along with whatever it is that he wants, but I know that making a decision like that could end badly.

“Let’s…” I begin, deciding that this would be the best way to do things. “Start over.”

I knew that it was ridiculous to be saying something like this when we had so much history, but if we were to move forward, we would have to get past all the pain and suffering.

“Start over,” Knight repeats, not looking pleased. “Like from the very beginning.”

“That’s right,” I respond. “From the day you found me in that cage, waiting for my fate.”
