Stephanie Miller.

I open my eyes and the light hits my vision. I look at the time and sit bolt upright in bed, knowing I’ll be late for work because I stayed up late at night with Matt.

We have wanted to become parents since we have been together for almost twenty years. The good thing is that, despite the time, we continue to love and desire each other with the same intensity.

First, we had agreed to finish our careers. Then, to be able to establish ourselves and prosper in our positions. And so it has been.

So, a while ago, I stopped taking the pill, and we practiced making babies every single night.

“Come on, dear, stay with me a little longer.”

“No, Matt, I have to get up. I can’t be late today. I have an important operation early now.”

“Ugh! Your patient’s brain tumor will still be there, even if you are a little late.”

I open my eyes wide, turn around and tell him. “Wow, that was dark. Come on! Stop being so lazy. You also have important meetings early.

Didn’t you want to take over your father’s company? Mr. CEO of Anderson’s Enterprises.” I laugh and Matt rolls his eyes at me, annoyed.

“Fine! If I can’t fuck my fiancée, then I’ll have to go to work.” He gets up and heads to the bathroom.

He stops, turns around and says to me in his husky, seductive tone, “Do you want to take a shower with me?”

I smile at his proposal but shake my head. I tell him, “No, honey. I know us, and a shower is never just a shower.”

“I said it to save water and save the planet.” He shrugs his shoulders as he gives me that pathetic excuse.

I sigh and tell him, “As if we have money problems! The worst excuse I have ever heard in life. Go take a shower. I’ll go to the other bathroom.”

“As you wish, although the invitation has already been made.”

Matt undresses, throwing off his pajamas and leaving completely naked in front of me. Hell, he’s a total Greek god.

Tall, tanned, totally toned, big arms and a huge cock that looks at me, eager to be inside me.

I stare at him without biting my lip, nor can I help but wet my panties. I sigh and say, “fine! Five minutes!”

He smiles and tells me, “I’ll make you cum in three!” He picks me up, bridal style, and takes me to the shower.

True to his promise, he makes me cum in three minutes. The man knows every part of my anatomy, like the back of his hand.

We dressed quickly and headed out to the car. Matt always drops me off at Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, where I work.

Taylor, who is Matt’s chief bodyguard, is waiting for us in the parking lot, ready, with the door open for us to enter the car, with two coffees and two bagels in his hands.

“Thanks Taylor,” I say politely, taking the bagels and Matt receives the coffees.

“Always so considerate of me. You should stop spoiling me.”

“I never could, dear. You know you are the most important thing in my life. So, if it is in my power to help you and spoil you, let me tell you, I will do it.”

“I wonder what you’ll be like when we have kids?”

Matt looks at me and says, “well for our sake, I hope they’re not girls. I won’t be able to be a strict father if they are.

Honestly, I would spoil them worse than you, dear.” I laugh at his words and his conflicted face.

“Do you know what I love most about you?

He seems to think for a moment and then says, “My charm, my good humor, and my performance in bed?”

I burst out laughing at what he tells me, and he joins me, laughing too.

After stopping laughing, I tell him, “I love that you are like this with me, but with people outside, you are ruthless. It gives me a sense of calm and security, since I know you care for our relationship.”

He smiles at my words, takes my hand, and kisses it. Then he adds, “I love you, dear.”

The trip to the hospital takes approximately thirty minutes, when there is traffic. Taylor is an experienced driver. He always manages to arrive at fifteen.

“We have arrived, Miss Miller.”

“Okay, Miss Miller, I’ll pick you up at 6:30 p.m. Your father was emphatic about being punctual today.”

“Oh! Damn, I had forgotten. I will have to reschedule some procedures.”

“Do what you have to do, dear. I love you. See you tonight.” I smile at him, kiss his lips, and get out of the car.

I entered the hospital and at the entrance, my two friends were waiting for me: Amelia Hamilton and Emily Moore. Both with a coffee in their hands.

My position in here is attending neurosurgeon. Emily is a pediatric surgeon and Amelia is a cardiothoracic surgeon.

I met them both in med school. Both could not be more opposite. While Amelia is lively and passionate, Emily is more conservative and shyer, just like me.

Therefore, it is often Amelia who is dedicated to fanning the flame of our friendship. Since we met, we have become great friends.

They are both older than me, since I skipped a couple of grades.

“You’re late. We won’t be able to gossip as usual," Emily tells me, frowning.

I look at them both, smile and say, “oh, I´m sorry for having a sex life.”

Amelia bursts out laughing while Emily blushes very easily. Then she says, “You don’t need to tell us the great sex life you share with your fiancé.”

Amelia tells me, “Don’t pay attention to this boring girl. I want to know how the sexual performance of the most coveted billionaire in the country was.”

I smile at her question and tell her, “I will quote a well-known woman from an adult series. When Matt colors, he rarely respects the lines.”

“Oh! Why don’t I have a twenty-eight-year-old billionaire who is very good, considerate, and a wonderful lover? He should have a brother. It was extremely selfish of his parents to have only him.” Amelia complains, making a sad face.

The three of us took the elevator and headed towards the attending’s lounge. There, we put on our clothes and began our shift.

As I walk towards the operating room, the incipient ringing of my cell phone interrupts my thoughts.

“Dr. Miller?”

“Yeah? Who is it?”

“My name doesn’t matter. The relevant thing about my call is that your future husband lies to you.”

“What? Who is it? How did you find this number? It’s a private number!”

“Matthew Anderson is a cheater! He cheated on you with me!”

My good mood disappeared the minute I heard that female voice.

“TELL ME RIGHT NOW WHO YOU ARE!”

She stayed listening for a few seconds and then hung up. What the hell was that?

Over the years, the so-called ill-intentioned have always been present in our lives, inventing all kinds of situations and accusations that later turn out to be absurd, so Matt and I set up a private line to avoid going through these bad times.

I’ll have to talk to Matt to tell him about this and he won’t be happy.

The day flies by between operations and procedures and, without realizing it; it is time to leave.

I will try to be ready at 6:30 p.m. It’s a family gathering at my dad’s house, so the dress code is formal.

I wear a simple skin-tight, knee-length beige dress with a boat neckline that highlights my collarbone and velvety tanned skin.

Matching stilettos. I leave my blonde hair down with its natural waves that cascade and simple, but elegant, makeup that highlights my green eyes.

I leave the hospital and there is Matt, waiting for me outside the car, with his custom-made gray suit, which looks simply spectacular on him.

His hair slicked back, his beard trimmed, and his incredible blue eyes shining brightly.

“Good evening, dear. You look stunning.” He gives me that beautiful smile as he tells me.

“I went out of my way for you.” I smile flirtatiously at him.

He sighs and says, “how lucky I am.” I smile as we get into the car. The trip to the family estate takes about forty-five minutes.

Over the course of the trip, Matt told me about his meetings, and we discussed strategies he could approach to close some deals. Today, it is investing heavily in telecommunications.

“We have arrived, Mr. Anderson.” Taylor gets out and opens the door for us.

Matt helps me get out of the car, as he doesn’t like anyone, especially men, holding my hand or getting too close to me.

He is quite possessive and distrustful. Despite being an accessible man for business, in his private life, he is relentless. He doesn’t allow anyone to poke their nose into our affairs.

Above all, Matt always tries to make sure that our privacy is respected. He can be extremely ruthless towards those who wish to harm his loved ones.

I was once courted by a former college classmate. When Matt found out, he almost lost his sanity. That was the time I saw him most jealous.

Dad greets us as we enter the house. “Hello my little girl!”

I smile uncomfortably as I tell him, “Dad, I’m not a child anymore. I stopped being one of several years ago.”

He raises an eyebrow at me as he says, “You will always be my little girl until the day I die. I don’t care how old you are. And I know your mother would think the same.”

I sigh at the realization that in another month, it will be two years since she passes away.

Since her, I haven’t seen him with another woman. Honestly, if he wanted to get his life back with another woman, I wouldn’t question it, but so far, he seems to prefer to stay alone.

The three of us enter the living room, and we see sitting my cousin Cecil, daughter of my uncle John, with her husband Francesco.

My uncle John, who is dad’s brother, with his new wife Anna, my aunt Elena, my mother’s sister, with her husband Sebastian and on the single sofa, is Stella.

She is my half-sister, the result of an indiscretion of my father on one of his trips, when I was five years old. We discovered her existence when she was ten and I was fifteen. It was an enormous scandal.

“Ah! You arrived just-in-time, dear,” says my aunt Elena, hugging me effusively.

“Hello Aunt Elena. How have you been? You haven’t called me in a long time.” I make a sad face at her.

She smiles and says, “yes dear, forgive me. We have been extremely busy with the NGO.”

“Wow, that’s right! You released recently. How has everything been?”

“Well, the truth is that it’s pretty good. We didn’t think we would have so much help or sponsors. So that’s why I haven’t called you. But I promise you that next week I will pick you up at the hospital so we can go out.”

“I will charge for your word, Auntie.” She smiles at me tenderly.

Aunt Elena had no children, and me being her sister’s only daughter, she also sees me as her.

After this exchange, Dad tells us that dinner is served.

Dinner is lovely, like all the ones Dad plans. Since mom passed away, he took on this job with great determination.

Every month, Mom planned a family dinner, where we all had to attend.

After she passed away, we believed Dad did not want to continue with her tradition, but he surprised us by telling us he would continue it, since it was the opportunity to reunite as a family.

After dinner, we all went to the terrace to continue talking and catching up on each other’s lives.

Matt apologizes and tells me he needs to go to the bathroom.

After a long time, Cecil asks me, “cousin, where is Matt? I haven’t seen him in a while.”

“Oh, he told me he was going to the bathroom, but you’re right. A lot of time has passed. I think I’ll go look for him.”

I enter the property and go to the guest bathroom on the first floor. When I got there, I noticed the door was half open.

I frown and slowly open it when I see Stella in the sink with her legs wrapped around him and Matt kissing her.

My heart stops.

A million emotions overwhelm me, and the only thing I can think of is to run.

That’s why she wasn’t at the hospital around three.”Matt smiles at me happily as he approaches me.
