Chapter 10

Camilla’s POV:

I couldn’t tell how long it had been since I got kidnapped. Every day just seemed to blend together, and there wasn’t a single window to show us what time of day it was.

Every sound made my heart skip as I feared they would come back for me. I wasn't happy being locked up in a cell by a pack I didn’t know, but the thought of being sold like a livestock terrified me even more.

The thought of that sent shivers down my spine, even though it was eerily cold here. I rested my head on the brick wall and wrapped my hands around my legs.

I was beginning to drift off to sleep when I heard the sound of the metal door being opened. I pressed my claws into my knees and held my breath. I wasn’t too hopeful that I would be released, especially not after the stunt I pulled when I met Alpha Leo.

The yellow light that dangled in the middle of the corridor between cells was suddenly flickered on, and even though the light wasn’t exactly bright, it still made my eyes sting.
