We stepped into the pack house, and the stench hit me like a freight train. Drugs, booze, and filth mingled in a nauseating cocktail that made my stomach churn.

The place was a disaster, and the thought of staying here made my skin crawl.

Teddy and I were barely speaking, exchanging snippy comments with each other.

"We can stay at my old place tonight," he muttered. "Until we clean this up and remodel."

"Whatever," I snapped. This place was disgusting.

We continued bickering, the fight escalating with every passing moment. Each snide comment. "I'm taking the Beta house tonight," I declared. "You can sleep in Phin's old room. Alone."

Teddy's eyes flashed, but he pulled me onto his lap. "You're hangry," he said, sending a mental message to the omegas for breakfast. "You need to eat."

"You're probably right," I admitted, struggling slightly in his grasp.
