Ch 07 : Jealous Beta Romeo

Romeo is already very emotional with the closeness of Rena and his brother, Jordan. Sometimes with an innocent look, she teases Jordan to make the man look like an adorable cat. Plus, seeing the behavior of both of them is very sickening. Jordan did not play with his words from the start, even with Romeo's unpreparedness for Jordan's actions. He didn't want his brother to fall into that girl's naivety.

He didn't fully trust Rena even though he had lived in the Palace for years. Romeo has always felt something strange, what made Rena lose to enter his territory. Wendy's words yesterday again bothered her mind. It was true what Wendy said, and everyone would assume that.

Why is that woman here?

Where did the whole family go?

Why doesn't Rena see her family again?

Or an orphan?

Perhaps, Romeo's inner question could be a true statement. He saw how Rena was with innocence or stupidity that Romeo didn't know how to explain. He saw with his own eyes the sickening scene. Jordan rubbed Rena's head as his eyes could see the two people buying snacks. His fists clenched, making Jade want to throw a tantrum for a moment.

"Rome, come on in." Gania gently took his hand, inviting him to enter the cinema.

"Are you sure this isn't a boring movie?" Romeo raised his eyebrows when he saw the cheerful face of Gania, who was on his right.

"I'll bet you're going to love this movie."

"I take your word for it." Romeo let go of Gania's hand, hanging around spoiled. He already considers Gania like his sister.

But this became thrilling when Rena witnessed the closeness between the two of them as if there was a feeling of pleasure when she saw the jealous beads plastered in Rena's brown eyes. And Romeo loved it. Romeo likes the moment when Rena looks away to avoid seeing what is around her and chooses to look for other objects.

His eyes closed as his keen sense of smell deepened, inhaling the intoxicating aroma, the scent that had been all around him for a long time. Can he smell this scent for himself for his whole life?

But it didn't last long when he saw Rena's unusual face in front of his face. His face radiated a joy he had never seen before. And it wasn't because of him. Romeo sharpened when he saw the look on Rena's face, which turned tense.

Ya, Moongoddess! Did that woman never feel that something was wrong with her body because she was too happy today?

The stain was not completely translucent, but his very sharp sense of smell could feel everything. Moreover, Rena, who wears white clothes, is increasingly convinced that something unpleasant will leave a mark.

Why is this woman so careless! Romeo growled.

Romeo pays more attention to the movement of Rena, who is on his left. He knows Rena is nervous, and they have never been this close.

"Yours, too, Beta Romeo." Rena's hand gives drink to Gania.

Why not just give it to me! Romeo is furious with Rena's behavior, who doesn't consider himself.

"Rome!" Gania finally gave himself the drink. Drinks made from grapes are his favorite. It turned out that Rena bought his favorite beverage, and she knew that the woman also bought the same beverage.

Halfway through the film, Romeo couldn't focus on the shown film. Because the couple next to him was intoxicated because of their first date, especially the movie that was being shown made him furious. Why did Gania buy a ticket to watch a movie she doesn't like. Romantic.

Romeo was beating faster when he saw Jordan's eyes looking at Rena with an adoring gaze. They had completely lost their minds, which made him even more annoyed. If he didn't act a little longer, Jordan's lips might have landed right on hers.

He's also lost his mind like the couple in love...

Why does Rena look cheap in his eyes?

Romeo shook his head and left the cinema, not forgetting to step on the woman's feet gently. He wanted to calm his mind for a while. After that, he entered again and didn't want to be missed to leave Rena.

Throw away the used drink and buy a new one. Romeo remembered Rena's condition. Rushing to purchase something embarrassing for men. He was indifferent to people who saw him as strange. His confusion didn't stop there. His head wanted to explode when he reached the minimarket shelves beside the cinema.

"This one has wings. This one doesn't? So what makes the difference?" Monologued, Romeo put the different packages back in their place and took another.

"Night, and it's a day." The package is the same but different for Romeo.

"Why is the length different too!" Finally, he rudely returned the entire package and walked over to the counter.

"Can you give me something?" Romeo asked quietly, making the cashier woman frown.

"Can you speak a little louder?" The cashier politely smiled.

"Something to absorb the liquid like a sponge. However, it seems thinner." Still in a low but audible tone. He was embarrassed because there was already a man in line behind him.

"I don't know what you mean, sir. Can you tell me what it's like?"

Romeo doesn't understand. He never even saw what was inside the package. Instantly he saw the cashier's stomach slightly bulged. "Before you got pregnant, you must have experienced it every month. And it happened in about a week or so. That's all I know." Romeo pursed his lips when he saw the cashier's face, still thinking.

"Oh, what did you mean by sanitary napkins earlier?"

A small laugh from behind him made Romeo even more embarrassed, but he overcame it by staring intently at the cashier to give it quickly.

The cashier smiled even more. Finally, he knew what this handsome man wanted. "Sir, want the winged one or not? Night or day?"

A question that frustrated Romeo even more, and he ran his fingers through his hair. "It's up to you which one you want to give me. I don't understand about that!" A little loudly, Romeo said, making the cashier quickly prepare what Romeo wanted.

"Irritating!"

For the sake of Moongoddes, he would never set foot in this mall again. That's the oath. He quickly returned to the cinema, not forgetting to keep the package in his sizable jacket.

"You from the toilet?"

Romeo just nodded, not wanting to have a serious conversation. He was still ashamed of himself.

After almost two hours of the film shows, he thought it was a waste of time. He would rather fight a wild wolf than sit quietly in a dark place with a disgusting scene in front of him.

The cinema lights suddenly came back bright, and everyone in the room came downstairs looking for the exit. Is this the way for a romantic man to please a woman he loves? Romeo sighed. It turns out he wasn't that type of guy.

Romeo heard when Jordan asked permission to go to the toilet and Gania. He had been silent all this time because he was trying to cover the area behind Rena that was visible at close range.

He opened an oversized black jacket and gave a knot on Rena's waist, completely covering the back of the woman's body. Romeo was sure Rena's face had turned red because of his actions, but he also didn't want Rena to embarrass herself. Fortunately, he had taken the initiative to wear a jacket, even though the weather was a bit unfriendly due to the change of seasons.

After giving him a white plastic wrap, Romeo saw Rena rushing to find a toilet. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw Rena's pale face because he already understood what she meant.

After changing clothes and feeling that there is nothing strange about her, Rena finally returns the jacket to Romeo but is rejected by the man. "Just put it on. Your clothes can't keep you warm anyway." A sentence that made Rena blush.

Jordan, who only saw his brother's treatment, just chuckled. "Just let it go, Ren. You can use mine to warm you up." The ambiguous words coming out of Jordan's mouth widened Rena's eyes.

"Aa—what do you mean?" Rena bricked.

Jordan, who was wrong to say nothing, just scratched the back of his neck, itching.

Gania stopped their conversation and looked at her cell phone. "Shall we go to Munich? Isn't Oktoberfest starting today?" shouted Gania excitedly.

Oktoberfest is a festival held in Munich, Germany, to welcome autumn and is usually held around the end of September and early October. Many tourists visit, and it's not only citizens of Germany. Citizens of neighboring countries also celebrate. Many beers contain alcohol on the main menu at this festival. And there are many other events such as the festival costume and music.

"I even forgot that the festival had already started." Jordan chimed in.

"How about it, Rome?" Gania asks for approval.

Romeo nodded and pursed his lips. He also hadn't been to the festival in a long time.

"But isn't that very far? We can arrive late at night." Rena gave her opinion. She could not linger outside the palace because Luna Irene was always looking for her.

"Luna Irene left this morning, in case you forgot," said Romeo, looking at Rena sharply.

Rena couldn't give any more reason. Romeo already understood her point. "Do I have another choice?" Rena smiled at Jordan, who had been looking at her expectantly.

"Don't worry, baby. You're safe with me," Jordan said, making Romeo choke.

Enjoying the event more, the four of them changed into the costumes that had been prepared. The women wear traditional costumes called dirndl while the men are called lederhosen. Rena looks more beautiful in that outfit. The combination of Asian and European faces makes her a spotlight in public.

Jordan and Rena laughed as they all danced together to the loud music. Rena is increasingly convinced that this is one of the best days.

Romeo has been staring at Rena all day, filled with passionate jealousy, making him silent even when Gania talks to him.

"It's going to be a beer soon."

Taking their seats, Rena faced Romeo. The woman smiled awkwardly, but her head was still swaying to the beat.

A bartender brought many large glasses in each hand, giving them to tourists, including four. Romeo enjoyed the bitter taste in his glass. He tasted this delicious drink again as well as Jordan and Gania. While Rena was still staring at her glass, she had never drank a drink like this.

"Why don't you try?" Jordan handed Rena's glass-making her shake her head.

"I never drink."

"This drink won't make you drunk."

"I don't want to. Do not force me." Rena took her glass away as soon as Romeo drank the beer.

"Don't force it if she doesn't want to, Brother." Romeo's pressure made Jordan wince.

"I'm sorry, Rena."

Rena understands. Maybe Jordan wants to make herself happy. Hour after hour did not feel, even now, it was almost midnight, but the visitors did not decrease. But the four of them decided to go home. Romeo also didn't like Alpha Nickholas because he had left the pack all day.

Romeo threw his car keys at Jordan. "You're the one driving. I want to rest in the back. I've been your driver all day." Seeing Rena and Gania, who had already entered the car, made Jordan snort.

"Yes, Sir!" Jordan snorted. He was also tired, but he couldn't carelessly remember his brother, who had been driving all this time.

The atmosphere in the car made Rena awkward. How could it not be that Jordan had changed position to Romeo while Gania in front of her was already leaning her body, not caring about his surroundings? Rena increasingly cornered her body near the door because she saw Romeo's large body, which almost filled half the car. Moreover, the man's sideways body made the air in the vehicle suddenly stuffy.

Rena observed the street, which was only decorated with street lamps. It's already three o'clock in the morning, but they haven't even arrived yet. It does take a long time between Munich and the Black Forest, almost four hours by land. Rena leaned her body slightly when she couldn't bear to stay awake anymore like music filled her eardrums to make her fall asleep.

It seemed like she had just closed her eyes, but her forehead hit a hard object again, making everyone in the car awake.

"What's the matter, Jordan?!" cried Romeo as he too suddenly woke up.

"Vampire," Jordan said quietly.

Romeo, who suddenly became wary, looked around. Even though he wanted to enter the Black Forest, why were there obstacles? Jordan and Romeo quickly got out of the car making the two bloodsucking creatures grin.

"What do you want?" Romeo's relaxed tone made the two pale-faced creatures burst out laughing.

"You brought food?" asked the vampire in the black hoodie, still grinning.

"We didn't bring any food." Romeo walked to the front of the hood so he could see the movements of the two creatures and Jordan."

"But we smell fresh blood here." With his mouth still showing his fangs, the vampire sniffed more and more towards the side of Romeo's car, as did his friend.

Unbeknownst to Romeo, Rena and Gania got out of the car to see what happened and why the two men didn't hurry back.

"What exactly is--"

"Hurry in, Rena!" shouted Romeo seeing the vampire's gaze had turned to face Rena. Rena was getting paler. She quickly opened the car door but was held back by something.

"You're mine, Sweetie," the vampire-hooded grin made Rena shudder, especially when a bloodsucking creature touched her hand.

Romeo didn't stay. Still, he quickly walked over to the vampire and grabbed him. "She is with me, Undead!" Romeo hissed.

"Quickly take Gania and run as far as possible!" Mindlink Romeo was nodded by Jordan, making Jordan quickly turn into a wolf and carry Gania on his back. The other vampire didn't waste his chance. He aggressively grabbed Jordan, who was nowhere to be found.

"Get off your hands, Damn it!" Romeo growled when he saw the look on Rena's face, grimacing in pain. He was sure that the grip on Rena's wrist would later create a mark.

Romeo quickly stomped the vampire's body on the ground making the owner wince. Rena inched closer to the side of the car, making Romeo hug Rena tightly.

Romeo looked at Rena. He didn't want to scare this woman. Either way, he would save them both.

Rena shook her head when she saw the vampire's movement, which would suddenly injure Romeo from behind. "N—no...no... don't!"
