Liv was thinking so hard, Brodi thought he could hear cogs turning in her head. He had to admit, he was, too. He hadn't planned to ask her to brunch, but the invitation had come out of his mouth before he could think it through. He didn't feel in control with his mate so close, and that worried him.

"Why don't you call my sister and Kelda and have them meet us at The Pines Inn? It should be just about time for their brunch." Brodi directed Finn. Maybe having the women there as a buffer would help make his mate more comfortable and help him keep himself together.

"On it," Finn answered and started pushing buttons on his phone.

Liv turned to Brodi, not sure of what to say. Now he was inviting more family members to this impromptu meal? She was going to have a hard enough time getting through it with these two. "Uh, I don't want to be a bother or anything," Liv said. "I'm sure your family has more important things to do than eat with a stranger."
