"Are you fucking stalking me now?" Destiny bellowed even in her drunk state.
"Hell no!"
"Then you must've come here with your slut, isn't it Richard?" Destiny giggled.
"No. I—I came to pick you." Richard stammered.
"You stalked me then. You good for nothing cheater. My family gave you everything and made you who you are today. Destiny Blackmore, the picky princess even accepted you. Did you know how so damn lucky you were?"
"I messed up. I know. But you have to hear me out."
"Just fuck off. I don't want to ever see your pathetic face." She stumbled past him.
"Allow me to take you home at least."
"No. I don't need your help."
"You're wasted, Destiny."
"That's not your business." She snapped.
Richard fast-paced to catch up with her. "It is. I owe it to your grandfather."
That did work on Destiny but she knows better than let him use her grandfather to get her to agree with him.
"What is going on here? Is there any help I could give?"
Destiny looked up from where the voice came from. Standing in front of them a few steps from the entrance was Wilhelm Grey cladded in an expensive looking gray suit.
He walked to them majestically as if he owned the place.
His eyes swept over Destiny swiftly then to Richard when he stopped.
"Mind your business, Wilhelm," Richard warned.
"This is my business and you fucking know it."
"Just leave us be," Richard replied.
"I didn't think I'll see you two here. Guess the differences have been sorted now?" Wilhelm glance at Destiny as if expecting a reply from her. "I was certain that's why I thought you might need help."
"Just go!" Richard yelled irritatingly.
Wilhelm raised his brows, suddenly amused. “I bet your differences haven’t been sorted after all.” He turned to her.
"Do you need a ride, Mrs. Davidson?"
"Ms. Blackmore, Mr. Wilhelm." She corrected.
Wilhelm got the full hint. "Do you need a ride?"
"I'm here to take her home, Mr. Grey. Don't act blind."
Destiny's aim was to cast both of them to hell from her sight but she chose to tie her tongue. She began to walk away when a lady in a silver dress caught her eyes. The disco lights made her dress sparkle more. It was the same person that caught her eyes when she was focused on the retreating form of Arabella.
It was no stranger. Destiny realized she was coming to them and quickly turned to face the entrance.
"Hi, baby." Rebecca's voice slurred. From the corner of Destiny's right eye, she could see Rebecca's hand wound around Richard's waist from the back."You crazy woman, let me go!" Richard fought Rebecca off his body.
Destiny glanced at them silently then looked back to Wilhelm and began to compare them. They were no good but she has seen her husband's assistant with him again. She decided to go with Wilhelm to hurt him.
"Take me home." It was more of a command.
Wilhelm quirked his brow. "You said?"
"Take me home please."
Wilhelm smiled in satisfaction. Destiny was too wasted and tired to say or do anything.
Rebecca stepped away from Richard when she recognized Destiny or maybe got a hint why Richard was pushing her away. It was too late though.
"My pleasure, Tiny."
Destiny glared at him. She hates it when he calls her Tiny and she feels he knows it but chooses to annoy her on purpose.
Wilhelm stretched his arm and took Destiny's hand into his.Richard charged forward "You bastard.."
"If you know what's good for you then stay back." Destiny stopped him on time. She looked up at Wilhelm and asked. "Shall we go?"
Wilhelm nodded with lips drawn in a thin line.
Wilhelm had that amused face even when they got in the car. Destiny looked in the mirror to see Rebecca and Richard talking. He seems to be screaming and the lather's face was remorseful. She looked away and caught that amused face of Wilhelm. "Don't get it wrong or start being so full of yourself. You knew why I asked you to do this."
"I know but is it fair?" He asked in a serious tone.
"You don't seem to mind. You enjoy it. I know.""You mean the kiss?" He smirked.
Destiny rolled her eyes then let her head fall back against his leather seat.
"Home?"
"Yeah." She wouldn't have allowed him to drive home her if she has not told the driver that drove them here not to wait for them. Also, strongly because of Richard.
"Looks like your husband has no shame or conscience. Did you see the other woman?"
Destiny raised her brows at him in disapproval . "I didn't know you were a gossip too."
"Only trying to sympathize with you."
"Just shut up. I don't want to keep talking to you and I don't need your sympathy whatsoever."
"Oh really."
"Yes, and I didn't mean my words at the office. That stunt you pulled should clear the fuck off from your skull. There's no way in hell I'm gonna employ you to work for me."
When he didn't say anything, Destiny turned to look at him. His expression was unreadable and he was staring straight ahead. Destiny wondered if he heard her or not.
"Did you hear me?"
Wilhelm spared her a sharp glance but he didn't say anything.
She chose to keep mute and keep the anger of being ignored to herself. It's better for them this way.
He pulled to a stop in front of her mansion and Destiny looked out, surprised. She didn't give him her address or location, did she?
"How did you know where I live?"
He doesn't look like he has any intention of answering her. " I will let this go. Consider it your birthday gift."
"What are you saying?"
His full lips stretched a fraction. "Goodnight, Tiny."
"Do you mind explaining yourself?"
"You're drunk. How would you understand?"
Destiny knows that he has a point but her senses are still intact. "I don't drink away my senses, Mr. Grey."
He shrugged. "Do you want me to get the door for you too?"
She glared at him, reached for the door handle and staggered out. What a nice way to kick her out?
"Happy birthday, Destiny."
Instead of responding, Destiny banged the door and left. However, she noticed that for the first time since she met him, he didn't call her Mrs. Davidson or Tiny. He called her Destiny.
She managed to get into her room without her grandfather knowing. She locked the door to make sure that Richard doesn't get in Incase he comes. She collapsed on the bed afterward.
The next day, after treating her hungover, Destiny packed all of her husband's belongings and made the servants carry them downstairs.
"What's happening here Destiny?" Her grandfather asked.
"I'm kicking Richard out of our house." She simply said as if it was no big deal.
"For what reason?"
"Cheat." She breathed. "He cheated on me."
"I don't know but this is not how we go about it. Let us talk about this sweetheart."
"No. And you're not going to stop me, Granny. You know I don't act without a solid reason."
Her grandfather eyed her. "You're being a rebel again. I asked that we talk about it."
"Fine." She dropped the last luggage she was holding roughly to the floor.
She dropped on the couch in the living room. Her grandfather sat across from her.
"Now talk to me. You left the house happily to see Richard is that not so?."
Destiny sighed and narrated everything to her grandfather but left out the part she kissed Wilhelm and made him the next CEO.
"I can't believe he did that." Dennis Blackmore was surprised after Destiny told her what Richard did.
"Before I hear his side of the story, what else do you plan to do apart from throwing him out?"
"I will divorce him and strip him of his title. He'll never belong to our family again, Grandpa."
"Have you perhaps heard of second chances?"
"I would've if it existed in my dictionary."
"Allow me to talk to him first then if there's anything to be done, you do it." He reasoned.
"I won't sit idle. I'll call our lawyer to process the divorce. I have a feeling the asshole I told to do it is not going to do it.”
"What? Take it easy Destiny." Dennis begged.
"Where's Richard by the way?"
"I have no idea and I don't care." Destiny got up to leave.
"Wait, I'll call him."
Just then, She saw Richard walk in. He wore a red shirt and black pants. He looked good even in something as simple as that. She remembered she saw him at the club with Rebecca and concluded that they spent the night together. Her anger rose.
"Speak of the devil." She said and Dennis looked behind.
"Grandpa," Richard called. He frowned when he saw his belongings lined up in the living room.
"You're taking this too far Destiny." Richard gritted out.
"Am I the one who cheated and had the guts to go to the club with the other woman even after I found out?"
"I'm not talking about us now," Richard responded. He closed his eyes for a moment then opened them. "It's about Blackmore corporation."
"What about it?" Dennis asked worriedly. All his life, he has worked his ass off to get it to where it is now.
"Ask Destiny."
Dennis whisked his gaze to his granddaughter, waiting for her to tell him something but Destiny couldn't talk.
"Explain to your grandfather what you did, Destiny."
Destiny knows she has told Richard that he's no longer needed at the corporation but no legal actions have been taken to back it yet so she didn’t feel guilty."For now, I haven't done anything. I'm yet to."
"Oh, so you did not appoint Wilhelm Grey as the next CEO?"
"I did but it hasn't been implemented."
"Then what the fuck is he doing at the office right now?"
"Huh?" Destiny is shocked.
"What's going on here. Who did you appoint and without my knowledge, Destiny?" Dennis asked sternly, getting on his feet.
"Don't mind this loser. I'll go check personally."
"Finding out is just a call away. No need to be there." Richard pointed out but Destiny ignored him. The few minutes she spent with Wilhelm taught her that the man was persistent and stubborn.
And if he's indeed at the office, she has to be there to uproot him.
Destiny rushed inside to get dressed. After some minutes, she came out to meet Richard and her grandfather in a deep discussion.
Whatever decision that will come out of it, Destiny knows she won't change or adjust her decision towards Richard.
"I'll be back granny." She kissed him on both cheeks, glared at Richard contemptuously, and stormed out like a soldier out to war.
Just as Richard had said, Destiny saw Wilhelm when she burst through the door into the office. There he sat, looking so comfortable and alpha in a dark expensive tuxedo with a laptop on the desk, his attention focused on the screen. She stared at him furiously, her tiny fist balled to her side.He lifted his gaze to the door when Destiny had finally closed it in a loud bang. Then his lips quirked to the side in sheer amusement as he takes her in."Welcome... Ortiz B. I've been waiting for you." He mocked"Huh?""Nothing." He grinned. Destiny could tell there's a secret joke he's enjoying but she doesn't have the pleasure of drilling it out of him."Leave it!" She waved him off. "Just tell me the hell you are doing here!" Destiny's voice was stern."To work. What else? You appointed me as the CEO, remember?" He asked coolly, failing to acknowledge her rage, or maybe he knows and chose to ignore. She his
"Holy moly!" Arabella screamed when all of a sudden she saw Destiny jump into her room through the window."What the hell, Destiny Blackmore!" She screamed once more but Destiny turned a deaf ear and went to lay on her bed."Get your shoes off, young lady," Arabella ordered.Destiny rolled her eyes and snuggled further intoLeaving Ara with no choice, she left the mirror where she sat in front of to apply makeup before Destiny startled her with her grand entry towards the bed.She held Destiny by the legs and began to drag her out of her bed."What the hell, girl." Destiny groaned. "Get the fuck off me, Arabella!""You can't sleep on my bed with your shoes you, Tiny brat."Destiny raised her brows at her. "I'm not Tiny and I am not a brat.""Then get the fuck off!""Okay fine. I'll take them off." Destiny said but once Arabella let her go, she grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to fall face flat
Destiny struggled to break free but he had her arms locked at either side of her and his knees pressing against hers. He has successfully chained her to the wall."How do you feel now?" He bellowed."Let go the fuck off me!" Destiny snarled undertone."Why don't you shout? Come on, Destiny Blackmore."Destiny looked away from his face. Shouting is the last thing she'd think of doing at the moment."What do you want?" She asked."Everything you took away from me. Every single one of them.""I didn't take anything from you. You threw them at my face. You didn't want them.""Will you blame me?" Richard retorted with a nonchalant shrug."Seriously?" Destiny chuckled. "You had more than you asked for but how would you know? You're that ungrateful."“Fine. All that you never gave me, I want them now." Richard demanded seriously."Was there
" Don't you know how to put yourself in people's shoes for once? I taught you better, Destiny." Dennis looked disappointed in her.It pained her.Destiny exhaled and spoke calmly. "I will be disappointed in you if you keep siding with Richard, grandpa.""I'm not siding with him or saying whatever he did was right but he's human...""No. Don't tell me sleeping around with another woman is a mistake, Grandpa. Richard knew what he was doing." She cut her grandfather off before he could finish his sentence.Destiny doesn't back down if she sets her mind to something. Her grandfather is only trying his luck because he knows no amount of words is going to change her granddaughter's mind."But he's begging to be forgiven. It means he realized what he did."Destiny's hand went up to her forehead as she began to pace to and fro on the balcony, massaging it. This conversation with her gran
Destiny was in a puddle of emotions and mixed feelings as she drove to see the person who called her yesterday while she was at the verge of breaking down.Dennis wouldn't look at her yesterday and he didn't take the breakfast she made for him but the helper's.This was a worry to her. If Dennis should feel too pressured with all this, it's going to detriment his health. Her phone suddenly began to ring and thinking it's Karen, she picked it up. "Hello, don't worry. I'm on my way."Once she said that the call ended. Puzzled, she looked at the number and realized it wasn't Karen's number and not any she knew. She put the phone down on the dashboard and pulled through the gate into the Davidson's house. Not only was the Davidson's noted to be good but they are childhood friends of Destiny's parents. She feels closer to her parents when she's around Karen even though she hates that fact. That is also the reason why Dennis wan
Destiny's lip curved into a wicked smile. "Don't you think you should be mindful of how you socialize with me? I can fire you anytime.""I don't doubt that but I'd love to see you try it." He grinned, his gorgeous aquamarine flicking.Wilhelm leaned back against his chair, swinging it leisurely while he directly stared at Destiny, checking her out openly and making her uncomfortable."Sure." She walked around to take her seat. "Brief me on the schedule for today.""I think I should ask you that." He swung the chair towards where Destiny just sat.Destiny raised her brows at him questionably."You're my assistant." He added.Without a word, She called for his secretary. If she should reply to every one of his tantrums, she'll get mad and hire a hitman before they are even near closing.'I guess a piece of duct tape across the lips will shut him up and I won't have to stain my hands with his blood.'Destiny thought
Broad shoulders, sharp jaws, straight pointed nose, a freaky amazing perfectly gelled hair, a skin-deep beautiful yet dangerous face, and an ugliness that hits straight to the bone. It's him in all his arrogance. Nature just shouldn't have given anything to be so dazzled about on him.Destiny would love to turn around and leave, thinking that she came to the wrong place but Linda has mentioned Arabella and pointed to this table specifically. If anyone is mistaking here, then it's him or he just purposely hijacked the table. He likes to trouble her that much.Wilhelm must've felt her presence because he raised his gaze from his phone.Destiny watched him blink. As if he wasn't believing that she's the one. He swept his eyes from Destiny's face to her body. He stopped at her lower part, the curve from where her hips are formed. He lingered too long."Excuse me. I think you missed your way." Destiny said, suddenly feeling conscious of th
Destiny spun graciously to face him. "Who did you say you are waiting for again?""Someone worth spending my time on.""Well," Destiny stretched her hand towards him. He got the hint and stood on his feet."Wilhelm Grey.""Destiny Blackmore. Am I worth your time?"" Of course, Pleasure meeting you. Have a seat." He gestured to the seat in front of him.Destiny sat. Okay. So it's official. She's doing this with him.He raised his gaze towards a waiter. He nodded and after a minute, he was by the table with water and a bottle of champagne."Which one do you think we start with, Destiny?"She couldn't help noticing how nice it feels when he mentions her name instead of the 'Tiny' he normally says. She hoped that this little pretense would go on well without anyone having to rip each other's throat out."I’m okay with just water." Picking the bottled water, she poured some for herself. The last thing
“Hi.” She squeaked in a mixture of fake excitement and genuine nervousness. “I trust things are going well for you in London. What you went to do, how's it going?”After asking, she waited for his response and when it didn't come, she tapped on the dim screen to see if he dropped the call. But he was still on it.She sighed and leaned into the leather seat. “Look, I wasn't ignoring you. It's just…”“Just what?” He cuts her off.“Nothing.”“Nothing? Did you realize that you're ghosting me? How would you have felt if I was the one doing that to you?”“It's not me, and I know you don't give a fuck.”“Are you shitting me? How haven't you seen that I care for you?”“Care? But you don't love me.”“That's not what we're talking about.”“Really?”“You said you'll wait. You said you'll give it time.”“Oh, and then you expected me to have hope and wait when you're literally going back into the arms of your ex-girlfriends?”“What?”“ I don't want any heartbreaking surprises, and that's why I'm l
For sometime now, before he left, she had seen him ignore calls and disconnect them with a grunt and frown on his face.Anytime she asks, he'd immediately plaster on a wide smile and tell her it was nothing but she saw it in his eyes. When he said he was leaving, it didn't really shock her but she was scared he'd lose him.If she had known that it was his business that wasn't doing well, she wouldn't have tried keeping him around. That is why she's taking this decision now. It will be difficult but since when did Destiny depend on someone to live?A bad habit she needs to rid off.Once she arrived at the corporation and entered the office she shared for an unbelievably long time with Wilhelm, she realized it was time to shoulder everything.A lot has changed. Dislike quickly turned to immense likeness then, love.Thinking back to it, they've already been through a lot. He should understand when she finally tells him that he no longer needs to work for her.He never agreed but she hope
..........The buzzing of her phone woke her up. She blindly searched for it and when she finally got a hold of it, she answered without looking at the ID."I'm still in..." She was mumbling when she got cut off."Hi Des, it's...wait. Were you saying you're still in bed?"Destiny got up to a sitting position and begrudgingly rubbed her eyes. "Ara?""Yes, baby."Destiny rolled her eyes. "You sound cheery.""Of course. Wanna guess it?""You know I just woke up. My brain needs time before it starts functioning.""I'll buy your excuse.""So?""I'm going on a date.""Oh wow. You found someone or it's a man.""I found someone.""That's wonderful Ara. I'm really happy for you." Destiny got out of the bed, fully woken by Ara's good news."It doesn't mean I'm over you. I still love you, Des."Destiny sighed. It's been months and yet she's still saying that."My
.......After seven hours, her system automatically became restless. He started expecting a call or text from him.Slowly, the sun hid back behind its clouds and she was about to retire to bed herself. But could she sleep without talking to him?Her phone was beside her and she kept checking it every second. Every message tone, every incoming call sent her jumping up to reach her phone only to be disappointed. At eleven, she began to force herself to sleep as she was no longer sure he'd call her. Midnight and she was still struggling to sleep. She placed the phone on the bedside table and disappeared under the covers, shutting her eyes tight. It's not been a day since he left yet she miss him, so much. Even the bed she lays on keeps reminding her of him and how it had felt like with him on it.Just when she was really falling into slumber, her phone began to ring. She avoided it but when it kept ringing and she lo
"Whatever you do, make sure you don't miss Christmas with me." She brushed her thumb over his beautiful lips while staring deep into his blue-green eyes. She feels so weak and helpless."I won't." He kissed her thumb."Come back soon." She whispered, her voice threatening to break."I will."She dropped her thumb, tightened their entwined hands, and leaned into him, resting her head against his arm.Sooner or later, she'd have to say goodbye and she's not ready for that.
They only had tonight and tomorrow until he leaves. After practicing, she watched him prepare dinner for them and in the night, they made love over and over again. She woke up with him trying to get her off his body."No." She whispered with eyes closed while clinging onto him like glue to paper."Hey, I need to...""Shhh." She placed a finger on his lips."Please.""Let me sleep for a while.""I gotta pee
The moment the elevator dinged, her heart leaped along with it but she didn't flinch and pretended to be engrossed. The closer his steps got, the more his fragrance filled her nostrils. Her insides tightened in excitement. He closed earlier than usual today. "Mmm...what is it you're reading?" He came around and kissed the corners of her lip. "Why do you wanna know? You never cared." She asked, smiling but never looking up from the book. "I've seen you go from scared to happy, in love and despair. More of despair. You've cried a bucket full already. I can't take it." He pitched in a sorrowful tone.
Destiny invited a waiting Ara to have breakfast with them. A very awkward breakfast. When it was over she asked Ara to her room but she declined."Outside then?""Is there not a seat on the balcony?""There is." Destiny breathed, clutching to the sides of her dress. When they got there, Destiny sat on the wicker chair, expecting her to join her but she didn't.The early morning sun of mid-July warmed Destiny's skin to the point of scorching. July weather in America has always been harsh. She looked down from the blinding sunlight while waiting for Ara to speak.Ara stood against the railings and placed her hand on it while her eyes remained below, taking in the
"Since you let the other sibling in then this whole thing of keeping them away is not necessary. I'll let Ara in if she comes again.""No Grandpa.""Why? I like her more.""She doesn't want us together." She crossed her arm over her chest defiantly."I don't care about that.""Then what do you care about?""Fairness. You can't let the other one in and leave the other.""Ara is bent on breaking us apart.""At least hear her out.""You're on her side aren't you?""If I were you I wouldn't be bedding my best friend's brother." He s
