As days passed without any sign of Edwina or a response from Alfie, I grew increasingly restless. Despite my inability to track her scent, I couldn't simply sit idly by and allow Alfie to do as he pleased. The uncertainty gnawed at me, leaving me with a nagging sense of unease.
