“Daddy is going to marry Mommy,” Mike said with confidence.

Mika next to him agreed.

Laura laughed. “How can you be so sure?”

“We can see that they are soul mates,” Mika answered.

Laura thought it was funny. Two kids pretending to be fortune tellers, she thought they were playing around.

“I also agree that they should get married.” Laura expressed her support. Cade was too picky and ended up having trouble making a choice. There had to be someone to encourage him.

The girl wasn’t bad either. Although the Goldwins were the richest family in Axton, Laura didn’t make a big deal about her son-in-law’s status. It was only narrow-minded families that still chose in-laws based on social status. Who would dare to laugh at and look down on the Goldwin family for having a son-in-law from a lower social class?

“Grandma doesn’t even know mommy’s name.” Mike reminded.

“Oh, I forgot!” Laura tapped her forehead. “So what’s that cute girl’s name?”

Mike and Mika giggled together. They agreed with thei

Huh? That easy a solution? But, something seems wrong!“I feel bad for your father. I’ve only been here for one day. How can it be like that?” Fay still knew shame. She didn’t want to be seen as eating her paycheck without doing her job.“Then do you want to come with us and skip classes for days?” Mike reminded Fay about her studies.“Mommy will just stay here. Grandma will take care of things with daddy. She said she’ll pull daddy’s ears if he doesn’t comply.” Mika laughed as she remembered what her grandmother had said in their room. Such a big daddy would still have his ears pulled if he didn’t obey?Fay scratched her head in confusion. Living here? With that bastard? How dangerous! But never mind! For the time being she would stay at Cade’s apartment like the two kids said while looking for another place to live. She would think about it later.Languidly, Fay finally expressed agreement.“But you guys shouldn’t leave for too long. It’s not very ... comfortable.” Fay did not know

“Mommy, she’s just an employee here. It’s best if you draw a clear line. Don’t give her too much heart.” Cade passed through the living room while loosening his tie. He didn’t glance at Fay at all.“I don’t know what you mean by clear boundaries, Mr. Goldwin Junior. All I know is my grandkids call her mommy. That means she should call me mom.” Laura got up from her seat and chased after Cade who was already moving towards his room.Fay’s sleepiness was suddenly gone. As soon as Cade walked in, she had hurriedly gotten up from her seat on the couch. The man clearly didn’t like her. Now her mother added another reason for Cade to hate Fay even more.Actually, Fay didn’t care about the man’s feelings for her either. In fact, she hated Cade too. It was the circumstances that had forced them to live under the same roof and couldn’t avoid each other.Fay quietly returned to her room. In the hallway she could hear Laura Goldwin’s loud voice scolding Cade, but there was no response from the m

Fay felt a little tense when she heard Laura say that. She tried to relax and enjoy her breakfast. What would Cade’s reaction be?Unexpectedly, Cade looked calm as he raised his face. “No problem. I’m also mostly busy outside and rarely come home. Ms. Willmer can stay in peace.” He even smiled as he looked at his mother. I might not even come home until the kids come back, Cade continued silently. His mother thought he didn’t know the trick that was being played. He’s not a fool!Fay was a little disappointed with Cade’s calmness. He should have shown his refusal.“That’s good!” Laura commented shortly. Mike and Mika listened to the conversation in silence. This was too easy! Too easy meant something was wrong....After breakfast, Mike and Mika said goodbye to Fay. Mrs. Goldwin said that she really wanted to invite Fay to her house one day. Her sincerity frightened the girl.A family driver came to pick them up. Fay went to the parking lot and waved at them all and then went to her

“Mr. Goldwin?!”“Ms. Willmer?!”The two people both exclaimed, then hurriedly widened the distance.“You—why are you here?” “What are you doing here?”The two also asked almost the same thing.“Miss Willmer, this is my apartment. Whatever I do here is none of your business.” Cade had regained control of himself. He looked calm and cold. Like a lake with a surface filled with eternal snow.“Mr. Goldwin, you yourself allowed me to live here. You also promised not to interfere in my personal affairs.” Fay was not to be outdone. Only, she looked more emotional. How could she not be shocked to death? Cade, who in her mind was in the office, had bumped into her here.“Don’t be so big-headed. You think by staying alone with me, you can take advantage of the situation.” Cade smiled sarcastically. “You’re mistaken if you think you can easily climb into my bed.”“What?!” Fay was hysterical at the shameful accusation. “Mr. Goldwin, you’re the one with the big head! As the two children approached, the girl squatted down until she could clearly see their cute faces.“Hello, call me, Aunt Callie.” Callie, the girl pinched Mika’s adorable cheeks lightly.Mike and Mika had never heard of Callie.“Are you one of daddy’s girlfriends?” Mike stared with a furrowed brow. Looking suspiciously at Callie. The girl giggled. “Why? Don’t you like it when your daddy has a girlfriend?”“Daddy already has mommy.” Mika told her with a displeased face. She thought this girl was just as beautiful as their mommy. Mika was worried that her father would fall in love with her and intend to marry her.“Mommy?” Callie had heard stories about these children. As far as she knew, their mother had passed away.“A nanny girl they call mommy.” Laura Goldwin tried to explain.“Oh. Do you mean to match them up?” Callie thought it was funny. A perfect, swaggering Cade matched with a nanny girl. How their father’s pride would be hurt. Both children nodded. “Anyway, we saw that they

“What’s wrong? Is there a problem? They treated you badly?” Fay spoke in a hurry. Of course she didn’t need to ask that. The twins had an uncanny knack for pulling at anyone’s heartstrings.“Mommy!”“Are you okay?”The loud voices on the other side scrambled to enter Fay’s hearing.“Of course I’m fine. I’ve been fine all this time, too. What do you expect to happen to me? If you’re around, my life will be bad.”On the other side of the line, two children looked at each other. Laura, who was also listening because her cell phone was set to loudspeaker mode, strangely laughed at Fay’s rant. She whispered in Mika’s ear.Mika then spoke to Fay. “Where’s daddy?”“I don’t know. I’m not his nanny.” Why would the boys ask her about their father. Just call the man, what’s the harm? The people on the other side fell silent again It was Mike’s turn to speak. He took over the cell phone in Mika’s hand.“Mommy, daddy didn’t bother you, right? You guys didn’t fight, did you?”“Of course not. You k

From the look on his face, Cade looked unhappy. He glanced at Fay who had finished with her work.“How did you know I was at the apartment?”“I stopped by the company and Langdon said you were home for lunch.”There was an annoyed sigh from Cade. Just now Fay had interrupted his meal. Now his sister had suddenly shown up at his apartment. Why wasn’t anyone letting him calm down?“Wait a minute!” Cade switched off the line and looked at Fay who was also unintentionally turning to him.“What’s wrong? You look like an idiot,” Fay scolded, trying to shake off her momentary fascination. She had thought that Cade was very handsome when he received the call.Cade ignored Fay’s words trying to provoke a scene with him.“My sister is at the door. I want you to stay in your room until he gets home. I don’t want her to see me with you.”“Who wants to be with you? But I’m very hungry right now. I have to cook something.” Fay glanced at the table. “Mommy?!”“Daddy?!”“Did we come home too early?”Voices followed each other.Fay felt her heart leap out of her chest. Get away!” Fay screamed in panic, chaotically clawing and pushing at the huge body that was pressing down on her.Cade rolled to the side and got up from the bed. His shirt was a mess. He winced in pain as his face had been scratched. When he looked at the two kids who had just arrived, he tried to smile and say hello.“Hi, kids. Are you here yet?” That’s when Cade saw his mom leaning against the side of the door. “Mom, it’s not what it looks like.”Cade felt like he had just brought his mom pleasure when he saw the amused smile on the woman’s lips.Fay got out of bed with a red face. Passing by Cade’s guard, she kicked him in the groin.Dug!“Aakh!” Cade groaned in pain. He held his groin and cursed incoherently. Fay didn’t even look at Cade. She

The fifth day of the honeymoon. The sun had begun to rise by a quarter. Inside the spacious and luxurious bedroom, it was quiet. The sound of the hanging ornaments on the balcony blowing in the wind, tinkling faintly, was the only thing heard. On the floor of the room, men's and women's clothes were scattered. The scene was a little chaotic and ambiguous. Meanwhile, the bed was even messier. It was as if a storm had come into this room last night and then left after it was satisfied with destroying everything. Fay's eyelids twitched before opening. The first sight she saw was the exposed muscles of her chest. And the scent of last night's intimacy immediately entered her sense of smell. She became dazed for a moment. Every time she woke up for several mornings, she still felt unfamiliar with this scene. The man holding her, the smell of his body, the whole room, all new and unfamiliar. Fay wanted to refuse to believe that this was real, but she was helpless. She had become the prop

Callie rolled her eyeballs. "Idiot. Do I look like a bride-to-be?"Mrs. Goldwin's brow furrowed. Had Fay forgotten that she was the one getting married? Last night Cade had informed her that Fay had agreed to marry him. So, he told the Goldwin family to come for the wedding formalities. The celebration itself would be arranged later. Cade is worried that she might change her mind. So he planned to get the marriage book first.Fay scratched her head with a puzzled expression. "I think you do look like a bride-""Talking nonsense again? Aren't you guys getting married today? Don't say that you don't remember." Callie was a little annoyed by Fay's inaction in using her brain."Huh? I-I-" Fay looked at the children for someone to explain."Mommy, Daddy is done getting ready. It reminded her of Audrey before her death. "You're not going to die.""Everyone dies." Cade reminded."At least you won't die that quickly." Fay felt her tears about to fall. "Let's get up!""Promise me first-""Promise what?" Fay's voice almost broke. "You won't die. So I don't have to look after those two annoying kids."Cade silently glanced at the eyes that were starting to fog up. God, this was a bit much. Fay didn't want to see Cade, but the children whined and kept insisting. She couldn't stand hearing the whining of a child. Reluctantly she went too to the man's room with two pairs of tiny hands dragging her along."I hope you guys aren't tricking me," Fay warned.Arriving at the room that Fay was familiar with having been trapped in all night, she saw Cade lying pale under the covers. His eyes were tightly closed. "Daddy's body is hot. Looks like a fever. Mommy check it." Mika knew that Fay suspected they had lied.Last night Mika and Mike slept in his father's room. In the morning Mike woke up to the feeling of his father's burning skin. When Mike tried to wake him up and ask how he was, all he got in response was a sigh. His father's eyes had opened a little, but then closed again and did not open again.Fay reluctantly touched the man's forehead. Just for a moment, she pulled her hand away again. It was really hot. Not a trick. But how is this? Was it because of the rain at Trix

"I'm not curious. I can confirm that Daddy will talk about their wedding plans.""But I am curious. I wonder if Mommy will blush when she says she agrees to marry Daddy." Mika giggled softly at the thought. That sounded interesting. Mike couldn't resist the temptation to take a peek."All right, let's go." Mike finally agreed.Mika gave a thumbs up, praising his brother's decision. The two walked hand in hand, sneaking along in the direction the two adults had gone. The door to the balcony was open, signaling that someone was out there. When Fay opened her eyes, a charming face was very close to her.Fay pushed. With just one hand. She remembered this scent once upon a time."What do you think?" Cade smiled seductively.Fay was confused. "Stay away from me. You can't be impudent!" She then remembered her confession in front of Audrey's grave. Cade Goldwin must have heard it and become very bold."Even if I like you, that doesn't mean you can act impudent.""Even to your future wife?" Cade tilted his face. Still not moving away.
