Damien's POV; "If I agree to this arrangement, you'll have to tell me about your nightmares." She said. Her words sent alarm bells ringing in my head. I stayed still in silence and waited for her to speak but she never did. I really wanted her to discard whatever she said as a joke but her silence proved she was not joking at all, she meant it. "Ariana-" I tried dissuading her but she did not even let me speak further. "Damien, you have to tell me, please. I want to to help you." She cut me off. I sighed heavily and looked up at her. "I'll tell you but not now. Give me some time." I said, trying to not crawl back in fear of telling her how dark my past was. "Alright, do I have your word?" She asked. "You do." I assured. "Let's get some sleep." She said, I sat up so she could slide further into the bed. When she got comfortable, I brought her close and sniffed her sweet lavender scent till sleep drew me in. *** I woke up first as usual and saw that she had her back to me.
Third Person's POV; Tracy had had enough of her pregnancy and it was only about six weeks in. The constant headaches, cravings and oh that morning sickness that would not let her breathe! She was fed up. Her family had been supportive enough and had been caring for her but she needed her child's father by her side but funny as it sounded she was mad at him for reasons she did not even understand. For weeks, Aiden had called her every single day and even sent gift packages for her because he could not always be present but she still did not know what she wanted-him by her side or him being as far away as possible? She thought back to the wedding they had attended a few days earlier and sighed. She always wanted a fairytale wedding like that and with Aiden too. For so long she had wished he would look at her the same way he saw Damien do with Ariana or like Reginald stared at Eleanor but it was not even possible, she could not delude herself like that. When she saw him, all she wante
Ariana's POV; It was the tenth of December already, it was my birthday. I just turned twenty four but I did not feel any different. It was just another day for me. I woke up to some calls and lots of messages. My father called and even sang for me. That was one of my favorite moments from my birthday, I was just sad I could not spend it with him present but he assured that he was there in spirit. It seemed like no one knew it was my birthday around here and even Damien left for work early, so he must have forgotten about it. I did not let it get to me though, it's just a birthday. I went to the office and got about my day until Stephanie came in with a cake to wish me. From the looks of things, our department had a tradition to make every worker feel special on their birthday. It was a really sweet gesture as all my coworkers wished me warmly. I had just received a call from Damien while I was working a little after lunch time. He said that I had to be home early because we had som
I was up pretty early the next morning owing to the fact that we had to leave early for our nearly ten hour flight to Bora Bora. Luckily, Ma Rosa had packed our bags and I was sure she did not miss anything while at it. I picked up my suitcase and placed it on the bedroom floor while I saw to it that the bed was properly arranged. We were going to be gone for a week so we had to lock our rooms just as Damien had said. But we were going to be back just in time for Christmas. I walked over to my father's room and saw that he was getting ready to leave as well. Damien and I were going to escort him to the airport before heading to the private hangar for our own flight. "Good morning Dad." I bade, pecking him on his left cheek. "Morning Bebe." He said, planting a quick peck on my forehead. "You ready?" I asked him. "Yeah almost. Where's your husband?" "Oh I'm sure, he's around here somewhere." I said waving dismissively as I buttoned his shirt for him and was arranging his collar.
The kisses got hot and intense and if not for a timely phone call that came through, I don't know what would have happened. It was mom, she was calling to know if we had arrived and settled in. After the brief phone call, he turned back to me. "I think we should get some rest, we'll be heading out later tonight." He informed me and I nodded, unable to meet his eyes.***Night rolled by soon and I found myself picking out a fancy dress for dinner at a restaurant named Le Corail, it was a really fancy place and so beautiful. I looked forward to dining there, the moment we got in. They had a warm reception and their meals were spectacular. While we were in the middle of our main course, Damien spoke up, making me look up at him."I wanted to talk to you about something." He said looking nervous and even uncomfortable. I had never seen him like that and it sort of worried me."Is everything alright?" I asked, running my eyes over his face which seemed tense but was still trying to hold it
"Hello Amy." I said in a steady tone though my heart pounded so hard that I was sure if she was a bit closer she would definitely hear it. "Damien?" She whispered slowly like she could not believe it was me. I watched as she walked around the counter and stood in front of me. My height towered over hers so she basically had to look up at my face. My eyes trailed over her small frame. Her shoulder length bob hair, her skin had a nice tan to it so did her smooth face. I eyed her outfit in distaste, she was clad in a white button up shirt, black pants and an apron with the Cafe's name on it, while her feet had on some scrawny old flip flops that needed a change so badly. I pulled her close not able to take it any longer and she held me in the same pattern, bawling her eyes out on my t-shirt but I did not care. I held the tears in, trying to be a man. I could not break down in front of anyone. I rubbed on her sleek hair continuously while whispering the few comforting words I could mus
*** I stayed in the bedroom from morning till evening, skipping lunch cause I was sulking and did not want to speak to Damien. Him on the other hand, had not come in even once. I wondered what got him so worked up but after how he had reacted, I decided not to bother about him anymore. He could take care of himself. I had been on my phone working as well as talking to Fiona who would not stop asking me about how the honeymoon was going. If only I could tell how boring and annoying it truly had been sitting at home all day instead of enjoying Bora Bora and all its goodness. This was not the vacation I signed up for. I was in the middle of a call with my father when the door came open and Damien walked in with a deep frown evident on his face. I looked away from him and focused on the conversation with my father. I laid on my belly, with my knees propped on the bed as my legs swung back and forth. I had my chin on my left palm while I spoke, laughing in between my sentences with my
"Twin sister?" I found myself asking in disbelief. I set my bowl of blueberries down on the table and kept my hands akimbo while both of them watched me closely. "Are you cheating on me and trying to cover it up with a flimsy lie?" I questioned with a frown, staring straight at Damien who scowled at my statement. "Why would I lie to you about something so sensitive?" He sounded really annoyed and my firm resolve shook a little bit. "Where were you yesterday?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him. "I went out." He gritted out. "Where exactly were you?" "Out." He stated nonchalantly. We had a stare down that lasted for I don't know how long before Amy butted in. "For goodness sake! Damien just tell her that you were with me." She groaned out, pinching on the bridge of her nose with a tired sigh and an eye roll. "Well if she wants to believe that I'm cheating on her, why not let her do it?!" He raged and marched into the house, stunning me to silence. I bashfully turned to the wom
