Third Person POV; Tracy marched up into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her. She grunted loudly as she stomped around the room, throwing a fit for absolutely no reason. She had tried working with Aiden some time back but no one had let her. For reasons she could never understand, Damien did not agree to it. In her fit of rage, she decided to not head to her office like she had planned. No one would question her anyway since she was the boss. Tracy owned a fleet of clothing stores, set up and funded by Damien as always. She decided it was best she met up with Aleena so she picked up her handbag and soon sashayed out of the room. She was well on her way out of the house when she stopped at the base of the stairs leading to up to Damien's room. She looked around, making sure that no guard was around to spot her going up there in Damien's absence. She snuck up the stairs and stopped at Damien's door, twisted the knob and pushed it open. She slid in quietly and shut the doo
Damien's POV; I stood at the balcony of my bedroom staring up at the sky for a while with one hand in my pocket. I sipped on my whiskey and grimaced slightly at the strong taste it had. I had been reflecting on Aiden's call for a while and it was beginning to worry me. How on earth had my sister found out about this and how did it escape me that she did not like Ariana? And finally, how the hell did Aiden find out about it? I took another sip to calm my nerves. My mind went over to the beauty on the other side of the hall. We walked past each other like we were strangers, though we were strangers to each other somewhat but this time, it was so weird. I shook thoughts of her out of my head, I had more pressing matters to worry about now. I approached my bed and laid down in exhaustion. I had such a hectic day going from one place to another, reviewing files and let's not forget, attending numerous meetings. My life was stress filled and I did not need any extra from my sister a
Ariana's POV; Four weeks on... I sat in my office speaking to Stephanie about some work stuff while I typed up some things on my computer. I had been working in Avilla Corp for about a month and it had been amazing. The workers here were friendly and so receptive. Unlike back in the house where I had some hostility from Tracy, there was nothing as such here, thankfully. Damien had been away for weeks and we never communicated while he was away. I felt at peace in his absence and the fact that I was working saved me from the prying questions of mom and ma Rosa concerning our relationship. My work was a much needed reprieve from all the drama that would have occured in my presence. The floor's secretary soon appeared at my desk informing me that Aiden had called for me. That was weird because I only came across him a few times since I started working here and we exchanged pleasantries cordially. I just hoped nothing was amiss. Without delay, I excused myself, avoiding Stephanie
I knocked and waited for a while but I did not hear an answer. Out of curiosity, I twisted the door knob and walked in and for the first time in about a month, I was going into this black and white themed bedroom. I stood in the center of the room looking around for Damien but he was not present so I walked towards the portrait situated at one end of the room, next to his bar. The portrait showed a desolate place, torn down by flames, it gave off a gloomy vibe and it somehow got me worried. I discarded the thought as soon as it came, I was an overthinker so I decided it was just my mind going down that path again. I spun around when I felt a presence in the room and shrieked. Damien was standing a little distance away from me, shirtless! I swallowed, taking in the beauty of his well sculpted abs and muscular upper body. I snapped out of my daze and spun back around facing the mini bar while shifting on one foot to the other."Put a shirt on!" I exclaimed, blushing at the thought of h
I stood frozen on the spot watching as he thrashed all over the bed, talking in his sleep. Damien was having a nightmare and he looked like he was fighting for his life in it. My chest heaved up and down in panic. I did not know what to do. My mind was spiralling out of control and when it gave way to the thought of him dying in his sleep with me present, I almost lost it. My over thinking skills always did the most. I eventually snapped out of my daze and decided it was best to wake him up. I tapped him slightly but silly me, I should have known that would not work. With all my might, I shook him as hard as I could and eventually slapped him very hard on the face, it was a bizarre move but it did the trick. His eyes came open and he looked absolutely terrified. He was soaked in sweat and was shivering like he had been locked in ice for a long time. His fright was infectious but I just had to steady myself with my emotions and not give anything away. Gradually, I pulled him close
"Today on entertainment news, Billionaire business mogul, Damien Kingston is rumoured to have allegedly been involved in a contract marriage to his newly wedded wife. Our source says that they had seen the contract for themselves and that their marriage is a sham. This is coming just three months after his sudden proposal and two months after the extravagant wedding which seemed rushed by the way, all these facts point to a solid proof of their marriage possibly being a sham." The news anchor recited and I just wanted to shrink and hide away from everyone. I turned to Damien who was looking really furious. I got scared. "Damien, I promise, I did not tell anyone about our deal, I-" I said hurriedly before he cut me off. "This has nothing to do with you at all. I know exactly who did this." He clenched his jaw and fists simultaneously as he brought out his phone that had already started ringing. I picked up my phone and it was the same thing. Social media was in a frenzy over this
I ironed out the creases on my blush pink form hugging corporate dress with puffy sleeves. The makeup artist had come and gone after giving me a bold look with a cat eye, matte lipstick and pale pink eye shadow. I loved it. My hair was straightened out and my edges were finely laid. Yes, we were heading for an interview to clear the air concerning the chaos that had been going on since two days ago. The PR team came and brushed us-specifically me- through about how to answer questions thrown at us. Damien had told me about the interview while we were in bed the other night. I was relieved when he slept without any nightmares haunting him. Last night, I slept in his room, it was almost like it was a routine to choose between our rooms every night. It was cute and I smiled whenever I thought about it. We were sort of making progress after all. Aiden gave me a few days off so everything could die down and I was so grateful. I could not imagine myself leaving for work anytime soon.
Third Person POV; Aleena screamed so loud when she saw the news. She had seen Damien in an interview accompanied by that middle class girl. How could he debunk those rumors just like that?! She paced the room back and forth in a frenzy. Her irritation had greatly increased because of the news. She should have waited, she really should have. This was what her anger had pushed her into. When Tracy had called to let her know of the happenings in the mansion concerning Damien's return and extravagant apology, she grew mad. Damien never apologized to anyone, ever! But there he was being all romantic to some classless little girl. He was beginning to develop a soft spot for her, she was sure of it l, so she did the next best thing that came to mind. She asked that Tracy leaked what they had found out immediately to a friend in a prestigious media house and as expected, the news spread like wildfire but it was not enough. She had expected a different reaction from Damien but no, he ha
