Linc got into an accident. His bike was broken and he was bleeding.
“Call an ambulance!” I screamed and ran to Linc.
He was unconscious. I tried to find his pulse. I couldn’t find it, because my hands were shaking. But I felt some quiet beating.
“Linc! Don’t you dare leave me, idiot!” I screamed.
Mia was crying and she fell down near him
“Linc! Please! Wake up!” she screamed.
I looked at him. His head was injured. It was bleeding too. And the stomach. I couldn’t look at him. He was completely covered with bruises. I felt like I turned deaf. I couldn’t hear anything, everything was drowned out. And the picture became blurry. Everything was in slow-mo. I was shaking like an addict. I felt someone’s hands on my shoulders, then they cupped my face. It was Raf. He was telling me something, but I heard only echoes of my mind. They were telling me:
“You will
I closed my eyes and got closer to the edge of the cliff. I looked around, as if I wanted to hear an answer on my question: should I do it? We should listen to the gust of the wind, that’s how God whispers the answer. But I was too deaf to hear anything. My hair was dancing with the wind, making them cover my face. I started closing eyes because it gave me an excruciating feeling of dry eyes. That was the right time, I guess. Okay, on 3...2...1.“Good afternoon!” I heard someone’s voice. I got scared and jumped away.“G-good afternoon,” I stuttered, when I looked at him.It was an old man. He was probably in his mid sixties. He had hazel eyes, and grey hair. He was a tall and slim man. His face was covered with wrinkles. “I’m sorry for bothering you, but my phone is broken, and I’m waiting for a delivery of a very important thing. I have their number on the piece o
“Hey, guys!” he screamed.“Hey, man!” Raf exclaimed.“Baby!” Linc said to Mia.She went to hug him.“Awww!” Bella and I exclaimed.“How do you feel?” Jeremy asked.“Wonderful! I want to go home!”“All of us want it,” Dylan said. “But it was good to be back here!”“You were here?” Bella asked.“Yes, I had my history here,” he stated and looked away, like he remembered something. Until 2:30 p.m. I was there. Then I stated:“Guys! I have to go. I need to do one very important thing!”They wanted to ask questions, but I quickly waved to them and left the room. When I was about to go downstairs, I heard Raf calling me and running to me.“Where are you going?” he asked, as I stopped.“I told you already, that I have some things
The next day we had to return home. At eight A.M. the bus had to take us. I woke up at six A.M.. Everyone was still sleeping. Something was keeping me up. I went to the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth. Then, I wore a white roll-neck sweater with a white jacket and black jeans. I went downstairs and saw Raf sitting in the reception room.“Good morning!” I exclaimed.“Good morning!”“Why are you up so early?”“And why are you up so early?”“I was the first!”“We are not playing, Peanut!” He chuckled.“Something was keeping me up. It’s like I have to do something, but don’t know what.”“Buy the phone to Josh?”I started thinking.“Yes! How did you understand?” I asked bewildered.“I am also his friend now and I want to communicate with him. &nb
“What?! Why? How could you do it?” Mia screamed.Everyone was scared. They were looking at me, like they were afraid of the possibility of me doing it again. But then I looked at Dylan. He had an understanding and a sad expression. Like...he understood me. “I was scared, that I would lose Lincoln like I had lost mom! You won’t understand it, Mia!”Everyone fell silent.“Then one old man came to me and asked me to let him call someone. I was on the edge of the cliff. I just needed one second and it would end, but he prevented that one second from happening. Then he asked me to take the delivery and give him it tomorrow,” I continued. “That’s when Linc woke up. He did it from fear. He saw the picture from my eyes, where I was about to fall. And that made me stop myself from doing something stupid and terrible! I really did take the delivery and then brought it to him. It was the clock. He invited me
It was already Saturday, James’ birthday. I woke up at seven A.M. The sun was shining brightly, but I knew that it was cold outside. The rays of sun sneaked into my room. I was lying a little bit more, facing the sun. Then I decided to call James. I was still sleepy, but he wouldn’t mind. Then he answered the call. “Hey!” he said. “Happy Birthday! Wish you all the best! Be happy and stay healthy. Never give up and follow your dreams. Wish you the pure love and true friends!” I said. “Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.” “What’s going on? How did your day start?” “Great! Elijah and Grace woke me up, singing the song and coming with a chocolat
Suddenly Linc came into my room.“Good morning!” he exclaimed.I turned to him and said:“Good morning!”It looked like Linc had just woken up. His dark curls were covering his hazel eyes. He tried to put them back, but it wasn’t possible, as while sleeping, he destroyed his perfectly sculptured hairstyle. “What are you looking at?” he asked, looking amused.“Raf came,” I stated, still looking down, hoping he would come back.Linc frowned and started thinking, maybe remembering what he had to do in our house.“What was he doing here?” he asked after some time.I went out of the balcony, closed the doors and sat on my bed.“He was drunk,” I answered.“So early?”“He said that he had been drunk since yesterday’s evening. He wasn’t at home,” I explained, imagining how he spe
Raffael KingI left the restaurant. What was I feeling? I was agitated, outraged. The ache was felt in the place, where I had felt only hollow. This feeling was engulfing and excruciating. It was raining hard that night. The lightning was making noises and that was the only thing that made that dark, cloudy sky a little bit brighter. While I was walking, I wasn’t paying attention to the coldness or to the pouring rain. I was completely wet. I bet, there was no dry place on my skin. I didn’t meet anyone outside. There was only me, straying through different porches and streets, wondering what she did to me. I wanted to scream, to punch something. I had anger issues and that time it started showing up even more. I went up to the roof of some house. It was still raining and didn’t decrease a bit. I wondered, what they were doing. I left, did they continue being a cute couple? I had a question:
“What are you talking about?” I asked them and sat with Bella.“You are a couple now. And Raf is being weird,” Mia started.“Well, I don’t know. I have nothin to do with it.”“I bet 50 bucks that he is jealous!” Mia continued.“Well, it’s too obvious,” Linc stated.“Come on, guys!” I exclaimed.“Sis, are you serious with James?” Linc asked.“If only I knew...” I muttered, shaking my head and the bell rang. The next lesson was Literature. And Raf wasn’t there. I asked Dylan if he was on the second lesson with him. He was. I guess, he was shunning me, because he was attending only the lessons without me. I decided to forget about Raf, as well, as he did. Maybe it was for the better. But I was still sad when I was understanding that our friendship or whatever we had was destroyed. Again.
“Are you serious?” I asked shocked. He nodded and pulled me to the helicopter. “But what about our friends and family?” I continued. “The plane will take them! Let’s go!” he yelled and we went inside. “We are going to be pilots, Mrs. King to be,” Raf stated. “Really?!” I asked shocked. He nodded and I ran to the pilot seat and put the headphones on which I found there. He sat on the other seat. The whole flight I had a big smile plastered on my face. I was so happy. It seemed like that whole day was about surprises, shock and happiness. That what my life has been consisted of, since we became a couple. But now we are going to be a wife and a husband! As we landed the helicopter, we saw the plane landing too. It was the rented plane for our guests. The car arrived and we went to the registry office. I wouldn’t tell you how it was, but as we were engaged, we were about to go to the wedding. It was too fast and unexpected
10 years later...“Mommy!” I heard a thin voice calling me.“Daddy!” the other one continued. I woke up and so did Raf.“Merry Christmas!” I said sleepily and took Isabelle on the bed.“Merry Christmas!” Raf exclaimed and took Adam on the bed.“Are you ready to unwrap your gifts?” I asked kids.“Yes!” they screamed in unison and ran out of our room. Raf and I chuckled and turned to face each other.“Merry Christmas, Peanut!” he exclaimed, rubbing his finger on my cheek.“Merry Christmas!” I exclaimed and kissed him.“Let’s go?”“Yes, but wait a little bit!”“Do you remember Christmas 6 years ago?” I asked, laughing.“It’s hard to forget.” He chuckled. 6 years ago...“Ky
She nodded.“The surgery went successfully! She is cancer free! Congratulations!” doctor exclaimed. We breathed out. It was a great relief.“Thank you, Doctor! You saved our grandma!” dad exclaimed and shook his hand.“It’s my job! I’m happy to give you such news!” he continued and left. All of us hugged immediately. We were very happy. I couldn’t be more excited. A lot of things got better and it seemed like every other problem became nothing.“Dad, how many days should she stay in the hospital?” I asked.“4-7 days. I think everything will be alright. They just need to look after her, so the diseases don’t come back,” dad answered.“Okay.” I nodded.“But you have to go back to Spain.”“What?! I can’t leave my granny!”“We will look after her! It’s more than enough.
Next day was a great and a scary one. Granny had to get her operation done. We were happy about her getting rid of cancer, but of course, every surgery without exception was regarded as a dangerous and a serious one. But that morning was a happy different and the best one. I woke up, understanding that soon Raf was going to come and there wouldn’t be an awkward silence or the pain beating in the chest, because of the unspoken words. There would be his hugs, support, love and the knowledge of his feelings for me. That was what I had been craving for since my mom died. I needed the person who would take care of me, understand and love me, the same way, she did once. And Raf appeared to be that person. People say, that there are parts in the world. They are divided at first, but the goal of the life is to find the lost half of your heart and soul. Ras was the one. He found the key to my heart which was lost and have never been found till
When we arrived at the same beach, as I was in the end of the last summer, it was evening. Soon would be the sunset, the way we wanted. The wind was warm but strong. Uncle took from the bag a blanket and put it down on the sand. We sat on it. “We brought some food!” dad exclaimed and took the basket full of food out of his trunk.“When did you manage to do it?” granny asked.“While you were playing in the amusement park, we ordered the food,” uncle explained.”It’s amazing!” I exclaimed. We started eating. There were a lot of sandwiches, bottles of coke, a big plate of salad and a huge cake. When we finished eating, Raf whispered:“Can we talk?”I nodded and he helped me to get up. I wanted to talk to him today too. And it was the best place and time for that conversation. We went a little bit farther and decided to go behind the huge stone.
I went downstairs and sat at the table. There wasn’t Raf. We started eating. I was thinking of the words I had to tell him. Maybe I was stupid, but it meant a lot for me. It was the first time I had ever fallen in love with someone and something told me that it was the last time. I needed to know if it was a reciprocated love. When we were done, we went outside to sit in the car. There was Raf. He was like always sitting on his motorbike. Everyone sat in the car and I sat next to him on the bike. We were driving to the park. I wasn’t distancing myself, I took a hold of his waist and put my head on his back. He looked at me, surprised of my action. Yes, I was confusing. One second I could run I away, but the next second I would pull him in my embrace. And I hoped he would be the only one who understood me. When we arrived to the park, we parked the car and bike and went inside.“I want to ride on carousel!” grandma sc
“Yes,” he answered.“But she said, that she wasn’t,” I said.“That’s for you to be okay. But I can see, how nervous she is. She is scared of dying, and it’s understandable,” dad said.“But is it dangerous?” I asked.“Every surgery is dangerous. But I’m sure that nothing bad will happen with her.”“That’s why she wants to have some fun, before it?” Linc asked.Uncle and dad nodded.“She wants to get distracted. And she wants to spend a lot of time with you, because she thinks that she won’t survive,” uncle added. “But we will make that day the best one. She has to relax and stop being nervous. Can’t it make everything worse?” I asked.“In some way yes, but don’t worry! Tomorrow we’ll make sure she will have a lot of fun. She will completely forget about her
Next day, we had to go the doctor’s appointment. It looked like she had to get her first chemotherapy. I woke up at 7:30 and started getting ready. I wore a pair of jeans, white T-shirt and trainers. I made a ponytail and put on some gloss. I went downstairs and saw guys sitting on the couch with grandma. Uncle and dad were cooking breakfast. I sat on the couch and joined the conversation. I noticed that Raf wasn’t there. Probably, he went home last night.“Good morning!” I said.“Good morning!” everyone said back.“What are you talking about?”“Nothing interesting,” grandma answered.I nodded. I knew exactly that they were lying, but I didn’t want to push it. When breakfast was ready, we sat together at the table and started eating. Everybody was silent. I guess they were tensed about the chemotherapy. We knew that everything would change. Her hai
He looked at his computer and started analyzing the results.“There is a pice of good news! It’s the first stage. It can be recovered. You just have to get some chemistry procedures and then the surgery will help you get better.”All of us breathed out.“How many procedures will there be?” I asked.“We can’t tell the exact amount, but not much,” he answered.“When can we start?” dad asked.“Come tomorrow at nine A.M.,” he said.“Thank you, Doctor,” dad stated and shook his hand.Uncle did the same. Then we left the hospital. “Don’t you want some ice cream?” granny asked us.“I do,” Linc answered.“Me too! Boys, buy some ice cream for us,” she tuned to uncle and dad.“Your wish is our command!” dad said.“We will go home! It’s such a fresh ai
