For the umpteenth time, Zynah heaved a sigh. It had been more than an hour she spoke to Bilal over the phone. He had given her his words that he'd be there there, but he hadn't shown up. Zynah couldn't help but wonder if he forgot. "I should call him again," she mumbled, picking up her phone.

Just as she was about to dial his number, his call came through.

Rolling her eyes, she received it. "You should have told me you—"

"I'm so, Zynah!" Bilal apologize, cutting her off before she could complete what she had to say.

Zynah's heart skipped. Was he apologizing because he couldn't make it? What would she do if that happened to be the case? "What for?" she finally asked after a full second of silence.

"For the delay," he sighed. "I'm already out of the house. I'll be there soon."

"Alright," Zynah replied before ending the call.
