As soon as they left, Bilal walked closer to her and wrapped his arms around her. "Please tell me it's true!"

Disgusted by his touch, Zynah pushed him away with all of the strength she could muster. She took a few steps away from him, her chest heaving. "Don't you dare," she pointed a finger at him, warningly. "Touch me again." His touch brought back hurtful memories. Memories she didn't want to be reminded of. "What do you want to talk about? Say it quickly. I also have a lot to say to you. I'm even glad you came here. We can settle this once and for all."

"You and I both know what I'm here for," He said, his voice flat. "So, let's stop beating about the bush. It would do us both no good. What you did is unforgivable, you know that, don't you?"

Zynah resisted the urge to roll her eyes at his delusion. She remained quiet, allowing him to continue.

"Good," He added, taking her silence for concurrences. "But because I still love you, I'm willing to forgive you for that. Let's go
