Chapter 97 Loose contract

After being hospitalized for more than a week, Grandma’s condition had stabilized.

And today she is going to be discharged from the hospital.

“Grandma, be careful!” I said.

Even though there were four healthcare workers and two family doctors taking care of Grandma, I didn’t feel at ease. So, I helped her onto the wheelchair.

Because of the stroke, Grandma’s speech was a little slurred. “It’s okay. Don’t be nervous!” she said.

“I will send you home, Grandma!”

“All right,” she replied. “Evan you have been in the hospital for so many days. Work is more important. You should go to the office tomorrow.” She added.

“Grandma, I will take care of you for a few more days. Nothing is more important than your health. I will go to the office after you recover completely!” I said.

Shaking her head, she said, “I am fine. There are so many people looking after me. You can’t neglect the work in the office!”

“Alright then,” I said, “I’ll go to the office tomorrow.”
