Evan’s POV:

Anya stood beside Jerry’s bed as she didn’t want to leave for a moment. Jerry was still in a coma. He was frightened doctor injected a sedative into him, thus he was sleeping soundly.

Anya caressed Jerry’s little face from time to time. Her eyes were filled with maternal love.

I stood by the side and watched her and Jerry silently.

It had been half an hour, and she had not spoken a word. She only focused on looking at her son. And this made me upset. I tried to control myself for a while and eventually couldn’t help her speaking, “Jerry is alright now. He will recover after resting for a few days!”

Hearing that she looked up at me, then she lowered her eyes and looked at Jerry again.

I thought that she was going to say something to me. Unfortunately, after waiting for a long time, she was still silent.

‘I have saved Anya son, I should be a hero. Why didn’t she say thank you? I’m pissed off at Anya. She doesn’t even thank me, even though I have saved her son!’
