(Bellissima means beautiful in Italian)

“Do I know you?”

Rose softly asked, her voice laced in suspicion.

“Sadly no, but I know you”

His words marveled Rose, he sounded similar to Donovan or was she just imagining things?

Meanwhile Donn quietly questioned Franklin.

“Where is Rose?”

“She encountered her ex-fiancé on her way to the restroom, she should be over there…”

He trailed off at the discovery of her absence.

“Find her now”

The agitation in Donn’s voice was prominent and the minute they turned, their eyes caught a figure outside the window.

A woman embedded in red fabric and a very tall man draped in black.

The muscles of Donn’s jaw tensed and Franklin was equally prepared for what is to come.

Rose thought Marcus was referring to the articles released about her and Donovan so she didn’t think much into his previous words.

After all, everyone knew her face from the rumors spreading like wildfire.

“You truly are beautiful, maybe now I can finally understand Donn…”

Back at the party Franklin and Mirable used Donovan’s absence as their cue to leave the event. “I’ll give you a ride home”“Oh…no it’s fine, I can manage”“I wasn’t asking”Franklin said and got in his car while Mirable slowly followed suit. She sat in the front passengers seat like before and the ride began fast and smooth. When he got to her community she had to direct him to her street. She lived in a very remote area so the roses were narrow and the lighting was terrible. Some streets had just one streetlight and sometimes it was faulty so driving through the street wasn’t as smooth as the rides in the city. “Turn left, it’s the first house on the street”Franklin did as told and his car came to a stop in front of her house. “Thank you” Mirable motioned with a slight bow and her hands on the door but immediately she opened the door a loud crashing sound came from inside her house and she immediately knew what was going on.“Mom!!”Mirable rushed in and Franklin sensing t

Donovan’s POVDarkness blurred my vision, I find myself in this awfully familiar surrounding but why are my feet small while I’m running helplessly? Why does it feel like the faster I run the buildings get bigger? They’re closing in on me.I’m sad, extremely sad, in tears in fact but I keep running in the dark streets bare footed. The smell of sweat stung to me like the wet shirt to my skin. But…I keep running and calling out “Mom! Dad!”That’s right, my parents are dead. They just died on my fifteenth birthday. All because of me.All because I was too bloody selfish and threw a tantrum about it!All because I wanted them here!My small sized hands flew over my ears in fright, the sound of sirens ringing while the ambulance take their bodies from the mangled wreckage of a car rang in my head.I can’t seem to get it out. No matter how hard I press my hands against my ears the sirens get louder and clearer. There’s chaos everywhere and in that moment of watching the police cover t

Rosella’s POV Talk about being distressed!I didn’t think much into the travel plans until Mirable dropped the bomb on me, now that’s all I could think of!It makes perfect sense, the timing of the trip is too spot on, how couldn’t I see that? “Ping!”My phone sound interrupted my thoughts. That’s right, I was scrolling through the internet in search of a job. Anything would do, as long as it keeps me away from Castilo Manor. So far my search has been futile.Should I just go back to my former work place? Everyone was warm there, I miss them.‘No I can’t, my appearance would only cause trouble. I need a job that’s similar to a waitress but I don’t have to meet a lot of people, if that makes sense’“Urgh! I’m tired”I tossed my phone on the bed and spread my hands over the sheets in exhaustion. Tomorrow is the trip, the week ran so fast. The only thing I accomplished was enrolling for a business master class. If I’m gonna take my father’s company I can’t rely solely on

Rosella’s POV All blood drained from my face. Technically speaking there was more than enough rooms in this hell of a villa. Sharing was unnecessary, yet the butler said his piece, did a bow and excused himself while I took careful steps into the well lit room.I had barely glanced around when my arm was dragged and my figure was placed against the wall. The door shut and I stared at Donovan in shock. Was my presumptions true? He really couldn’t wait?!“What is the meaning of what you did earlier?”“Huh?” I was short circuit “Oh…I just, I mean”What the hell am I saying? He kept staring at me for a response but my brain wasn’t working. Rosella’s eyes stared widely at Donn, even though her attention was on something else.He shot her a casual glance before walking over not to her but to the arranged table stacked with flowers and scented candles. One would think it was a romantic setup but an object on the table canceled that thought. On the table was two jars of urn. Their jade-like well crafted ceramics glistened under the moonlight.“These are my parents”Donn’s voice sounded incredibly solemn. A pure side to him that she never knew existed was being displayed.Moments like these makes one wonder if a monster was capable of feeling lose. Faced with such a situation, even Rosella who bore a deep rooted hatred against him had to be cautious with her words. “Why have you brought me here?” She kindly asked. “Because it’s my parents death anniversary and I wanted to show you to them”The first part she understood but not so the second. ‘Was it because she was going to bear his child?’ She wondered. The tension in the air was suffocating, thick enough to choke. The small warehouse echoed with the sound of guns cocking and men shifting into position. The stale scent of sweat, gunpowder, and mildew permeated the room, clinging to the skin like an unwelcome reminder of the danger that loomed.Rosella could barely breathe as she sat on the floor, her wrists raw from the ropes that had only recently been removed by Marcus, her heart thundering in her chest. Her mother was beside her, pale and trembling, though her gaze flickered with a strange kind of strength. Across the room, Odessa stood tall, her arms crossed and her expression cool but edged with irritation as she surveyed the chaos she had orchestrated. In the middle of it all stood Marcus, he suddenly rushed in holding a gun that wavered between two targets, Donovan and his mother, Odessa. His jaw was clenched, his brow furrowed, and his breathing uneven as he wrestled with the storm of emotions raging inside him."Marcus," O

Rosella was slumped against the cold wall of the dimly lit room, her wrists sore from the ropes digging into her skin. The air was damp and carried the faint metallic tang of rust and decay. The room itself was barren save for a flickering bulb overhead, casting long, ominous shadows across the cracked concrete walls. Every creak of the floor, every distant muffled noise made her flinch, the tension wrapping around her like a vice.Odessa stood before her, her figure imposing despite the elegant tailored suit she wore. Her heels clicked sharply against the floor as she paced, the sound filling the otherwise silent room. Her lips curled into a smirk, and her dark eyes gleamed with satisfaction. She looked every bit the predator who had cornered her prey.“You must be wondering,” Odessa began, her voice smooth but laced with venom, “why I hate Donovan so much. Why I’ve gone to such lengths to tear him down.” She paused, her gaze flickering to Rosella, who stared back with defiance despi

This wasn't just a coincidence or some cruel game Odessa was playing. The truth was undeniable. Rosella paced her room, the plush carpet muffling the frantic huffs of her breaths. Her heart raced in sync with her thoughts, each beat heavier than the last. Donovan’s warning to stay indoors had seemed simple enough at first, but as the hours passed, unease wrapped around her like a suffocating fog. Why wouldn’t he or Franklin answer her calls? What was happening out there? The vibration of her phone jolted her from her thoughts. Snatching it from the table, she saw the name Dalgliesh Residence flashing on the screen. Her breath hitched.“Hello?” she answered, her voice trembling.“Miss Rosella,” the voice on the other end was panicked, rushed. “It’s Mr. Dalgliesh. He’s collapsed, been rushed to St. James Hospital. It’s bad… very bad.”Rosella felt her knees weaken, her free hand gripping the edge of the desk for support. “Collapsed? What happened?!”“We don’t know yet.
