CHAPTER 34

VALERIE'S POV

I froze at the sight of a man's shadow running into hiding.

What the hell was that?

"What happened? why do you look like you just saw a ghost" Stephano asked.

"Did you really not see that?" I asked quizzically.

Was I seeing things now? The shadow was so fast it was hard to make anything off it but I was pretty sure it was a man's shadow. But how did he get in here? it didn't seem like that could be one of the guards, because then he wouldn't have needed to hide from us.

"No, what did you see? was there someone there?" he asked, his countenance becoming more serious immediately.

"I'm not really sure, I guess I'm too tired so I imagined it. I thought I saw someone but your security is too tight for an intruder to be roaming around" I explained.

I honestly wanted to believe no one was there because the thought of someone watching me made me feel uneasy, that felt scary… what if I get attacked in my sleep?? No! that can't happen, it's very unlikely for someone to
