CANDICE POV

"I don't....she asked me to bring lunch to him!" I said. Fiona gave me a look that told me that she did not believe me at all. There was a teasing look into my eyes and told me that she knows that I am lying but she is just going along with it just to make fun of me.

I felt guilty when I saw her looking at me like this. I really wanted to salvage whatever image it is that she had of me in her mind. It's not as if I am lying anyway. I really did come here because Maria asked me to bring lunch for both of them.

"I am not lying. His mother really asked me to bring lunch to him because she knows that Aiden forgets to eat and she was worried that you don't know how to take care of him so she sent me here because both of us are friends" I said. I failed to realize that I just looked pathetic trying to explain to her before but I saw that now. I should not have said this.
