Stevenson’s POV

I sat in the cold room of the police station, staring at the bleak white walls. It was already morning, but there was still no sign of Fiona. I still found it hard to believe that I had spent the night here.

I couldn’t understand why Fiona hadn’t come to see me yet. Surely, she knew I was here, she was the one who called the lawyer. It wasn’t like her to abandon me like this, not when I needed her the most.

My lawyer had already come by and spoken to the police. He couldn’t figure out how the police had gotten their hands on so much evidence against me, but he promised he would do everything in his power to get me out. I trusted him, but I couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling that something was off.

I leaned back in my chair, frustrated and anxious. Just as I began to lose myself in thought, one of the officers entered the room.

“You’ve got visitors,” he announced.

I straightened up immediately, my heart poundi

Stevenson's POV Fiona’s voice cut in sharp, filled with hurt. “Oh, that’s her name, isn’t it? Not only did you have an affair, but you were also using company funds to build a life for the child you had with her. How could you betray me like this, Stevenson? What did I ever do to you?” “No! It’s not like that,” I stammered, trying to regain control of the situation. “I don’t have a child with Marilyn. Yes, I had… something with her. But that was years ago. I met her as a single mother; her son isn’t mine.” Phoebe scoffed again, sliding to the next picture. “Then why does he look exactly like you?” “I don't know; someone’s trying to frame me or something,” I said, shaking my head. “I met Marilyn on a business trip years ago, and we had… a one-night stand. But that’s all it was! The boy was already in her life before I met her. He’s not mine!” “A one-night stand? Years ago?” Phoebe asked coldly and snapped. “These pictures were tak

Sheila’s POV“Are the centerpieces arranged the way I showed you?” I asked, glancing around the massive hall that was slowly coming to life. The gold and white decorations gleamed under the crystal chandeliers, but my eyes were still scanning every detail.“Exactly as you instructed, Mrs. Sheila,” one of the event coordinators replied with a polite smile. “We’ve triple-checked everything. The floral arrangements, the lighting, even the seating chart—it’s all in place.”“Perfect,” I nodded, feeling the tension in my shoulders ease, but only slightly. There was still too much to do.Another assistant rushed up, holding a clipboard. “Mrs. Sheila, the musicians are asking if you’d like them to start with something classical or more modern when the guests arrive.”I paused, considering. “Classical. It’ll set the right tone for the evening. We’ll switch to something livelier once the dinner begins.”“Got it.” She scribbled a note and h

Sheila's POV The tension immediately eased, and suddenly, I wasn’t so scared of the crowd. I felt like I could handle anything with him by my side, just like it used to be. Even though things were a bit off between us, I still appreciated the fact that he cared. With him by my side, and with our hands entwined, I could confidently smile at the cameras before we finally made our way inside. As we entered the grand ballroom, the soft lighting and elegant décor seemed to catch the attention of everyone around us. Almost immediately, a few guests approached with warm smiles.“Mrs. Walker, you’ve truly transformed this place!” one woman exclaimed, glancing around at the décor. “Everything is just flawless. And Mr. Walker, it’s clear she had some great support.”Another male guest nodded, offering Andrew a friendly smile. “It’s a fantastic setup. You married a very talented woman, Mr. Walker.”I smiled, feeling a sense of pride swell

Andrew's POVThe gala was in full swing, but my mind was occupied with business. I stood in the corner of the ballroom, talking with my business partners about the city's newest competitor that had burst onto the scene, aiming to take down established players—especially me. They were brazen, but not stupid. The way they targeted us was clearly calculated.“They're not just trying to compete,” one of my partners said, swirling his drink. “They’re coming for our market share, our clients, and they’re starting with you, Andrew.”I nodded, my jaw tightening. “They’re poking the wrong bear. I’ll make sure they regret it.”“We can’t afford to wait, though,” another partner added. “The way they’re expanding… if we don’t act now, it’s going to get ugly.”I knew they were right. Timing was everything in this game. My eyes drifted around the room, catching glimpses of familiar faces in expensive suits, all caught up in their own conversations. I wa

Sheila's POV I stood frozen in the driveway, watching as Andrew sped off into the night, leaving me behind. I still couldn’t make sense of Andrew’s outburst—the anger, the jealousy, and the hurt in his eyes. What had I done wrong? Maybe I had acted too friendly toward Simeon, but I had no idea Andrew would react so strongly. If I hadn’t slapped him, I was sure he would have said more things that would’ve hurt me even deeper. “Are you alright, dear?” a soft voice asked from behind, pulling me out of my thoughts. I turned to see Grandpa and Grandma standing there, both looking worried and concerned. Grandpa looked like he had aged overnight, his once upright posture now slightly hunched, as if tonight's events had drained him of a few years. Grandma gave me a gentle smile, but the worry in her eyes was clear. “Come, child,” Grandpa said quietly. “Let’s take you home.” I didn’t say

I groaned, feeling the effect of the bad decision I decided to make last night. After driving around the city for hours last night, trying to clear my head, I ended up at a bar. One drink turned into several, and before I knew it, I was knocking back whiskey like it was water. Now, I was paying the price. My head felt like it was splitting open, the dull ache turning into a sharp, punishing headache. Squinting, I glanced at my phone and saw my secretary’s name on the screen."Sir, I’m sorry to wake you, but you have an urgent meeting in about two hours time," her voice came through, too loud for my headache.I glanced at my watch. 11 a.m. How had I slept this long? “Okay, I'm on my way,” I said and hung up. I groaned as I tossed the blankets aside, forcing myself out of bed. My head was still pounding, and I needed t

Andrew's POVAs Grandpa walked out of my office, I sat back in my chair, still trying to shake off the thought of Simeon and his intentions by coming here. Before I could dwell on it any longer, my secretary knocked and peeked in."Sir, just a reminder—you have a meeting with Xeron Enterprise in about 30 minutes."I nodded, straightening up. This meeting was crucial. Xeron Enterprise was one of our top clients, and securing this contract would give us a major advantage in the market. I couldn’t afford to let anything distract me—not last night, and definitely not Simeon."Zane, get ready. We’re leaving soon," I called out, adjusting my tie and grabbing the necessary documents from my desk.Zane appeared almost instantly. "Yes, sir. The car is ready. Your team is waiting."Two of my key employees were also coming with me: Sarah, our Head of Business Development, and Richard, our CFO. Both were experienced and had been essential in

Sheila's POVI was in my room with Mom, carefully organizing the clothes Granny had recently bought for me. There were so many that I wondered when I would have the chance to wear them all. I kept telling her I had enough, but my sweet Granny wouldn't hear of it. "Sheila," Mom began, her voice gentle yet curious, "I've noticed Andrew dropping you off quite often lately. Are you two back together?" A warm blush immediately crept up my cheeks. I paused, folding a shirt, and then replied, "We're just taking things slowly, Mom. One step at a time." She looked at me with a knowing smile, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I see," she said, her tone teasing. "Well, if you're really sure about giving Andrew another chance, then I give you my blessings." I felt a surge of happiness and gratitude. I walked over to her, enveloping her in a tight hug. "Thank you, Mom. You've always stood by me, and I can't express how much that means to me." She pulled back slightly, holding my hands i

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife    The Fight Had Just Begun

Andrew's POVA few weeks had passed since the chaos surrounding Therese and everything else had settled. Alfred was back to work after being suspended for weeks without pay, and things with Sheila had been going progressively smoothly. I had been buried in work, the weight of the business constantly hanging over my head. As I sat in my office, typing away on my laptop, a sharp knock on the door interrupted my concentration. Before I could respond, the door swung open, and my parents entered. My secretary rushed in after them, looking flustered. It was obvious she had tried to stop them, but they were having none of it. "Andrew," my father called out, his tone already tinged with annoyance. My mother followed behind him, her expression unreadable but no less intense. My secretary stepped into my office and began to explain. "I... I apologize, Mr. Walker. They insisted on seeing you immediately," she said nervously. "They refused to wait for me to inform you before they barged i

Sheila's POVAs the plane touched down in the city, I felt a sense of relief mixed with anxiety. We were finally back, but the weight of everything that had happened still loomed over me. As soon as the plane’s door opened, the cold rush of air hit us, and I could see the flashing lights of police cars waiting on the tarmac. They were already here, prepared for whatever would unfold next. As we began to step off the plane, the sound of raised voices reached us. Turning around, I saw Andrew's guards holding Anna back, their grip firm as she struggled against them. "Please, I just need to talk to her!" Anna cried out desperately, her voice trembling. "I promise I don't mean any harm!"Andrew’s expression darkened as he stepped forward. “Take her away,” he ordered, his tone cold and unyielding. “I don’t want to see her again.” “No! Please, Mistress, just a moment! I need to say something to you,” Anna pleaded, her voice growing louder. Her tear-filled eyes met mine, and the despe

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   A Moment of Surrender

Sheila's POVI didn’t know where Andrew was taking me, but I could see how furious and upset he was. His mood was dark, and I could feel the weight of his emotions without him saying a word to me. I didn’t even ask. There was something about him that made me want to follow quietly, unsure how I was going to calm him down, and not wanting to make his mood worse. He led me to a secluded part of the plane, a small, well-decorated room that looked almost like a personal cabin. Before I could ask any questions, Andrew shut the door behind us. His eyes, filled with a storm of emotions, met mine for a brief moment before he suddenly pulled me into his arms. I froze, caught off guard by the suddenness of his embrace. He pressed his head against my shoulder, holding me tightly as though trying to find some comfort. We stood there for a few seconds, both unsure of what to do. Hesitantly, I began to pat his back, uncertain of how to respond. “They turned against me! I trusted them so muc

Andrew’s POV I was trying so hard to understand what I had just heard. Anna, the woman who had served me so faithfully all these years, had been hiding something this massive from me. How could Therese be Anna's daughter? I stared at her, disbelief flooding my veins. I hadn’t known Anna had a child, let alone one who was working in my mansion under false pretenses. “What’s going on, Anna?” I asked, my voice thick with anger and confusion. “How is it possible that your daughter has been working here without my knowledge?” Anna’s face twisted with a mix of guilt and fear, tears welling up in her eyes. She had never been one to break down easily, but this time, it was different. “She’s not really my daughter, Master,” Anna explained shakily, her voice quivering. “She’s my late twin sister’s child… I raised her as my own after my sister passed away. I’ve done everything I could to give her a good life, everything. I sent money whenever I could, supported her when she needed it. I

I turned to Alfred. “Are the movement schedules finalized? And the cars we'll be using once we land?” He nodded. “Yes, Master. Everything has been arranged as per your instructions. Everything has been confirmed.” “Excellent,” I replied, leaning slightly against the window frame. I allowed myself a small smile, one of satisfaction. The truth was, I knew Sheila wouldn’t have come willingly if I had asked her outright. She would’ve found an excuse, some way to evade me. That’s why I had to take matters into my own hands.
