Andrew's POV

“Sheila, get down!” I shouted, pulling her into my arms to shield her.

The sudden crack of a bullet shattering the car window sent my heart racing.

“Arrgh!” Sheila screamed as I pushed her head down. I glanced around and saw that the car that had just shot at us had driven away.

“Sheila, are you okay?” I asked, anxiously checking her over.

Earlier, while waiting at a traffic light, I noticed a black car with tinted windows beside us, next to Sheila's side, and an uneasy feeling washed over me.

I tried to ignore it, but when the tinted window rolled down and I saw two masked men inside, I knew we were in danger.

“I’m fine, but the bullet grazed my arm,” Sheila said shakily, showing me her bleeding arm.

Her face was pale, eyes wide and unblinking, filled with a mix of terror and disbelief. She was shaking uncontrollably, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps.

I held her hand, trying to comfort her while wondering how we had come under attack.

I had decided to go out w

Stevenson's POVI sat at the head of the table in the boardroom, trying to stay calm. The directors and shareholders glared at me with anger and contempt. I knew they blamed me and my family for the company's troubles and were ready to express their anger."You've ruined this company, Stevenson," Richard, one of the older directors, said, his voice cold and angry. "Your family's scandals are all over the news. No one wants to work with us anymore."Sarah, another director, added, "We've had to cancel so many projects. Our reputation is destroyed. Do you understand what that means?"My jaw tightened. "I understand, Sarah. But this is not just my fault. We all have a role in handling this crisis. I believe—""That's easy for you to say," Mark, a younger director, sneered, interrupting me. "Your family is the sole reason for this mess. Sheila's POV I woke up feeling groggy. My head felt heavy, and my injured hand was a bit sore. I sat up slowly, trying to remember what happened the night before. I recalled last night's attack and quickly shook my head, not wanting to remember how scared I had felt when I was shot at. Just then, Anna walked in with a tray of breakfast. She smiled warmly as she set the tray on the bedside table. “Good morning, Mistress. How are you feeling?”“Better, I think,” I replied. As I shifted, I noticed a warm blanket covering me that I didn’t remember having before and assumed Anna had placed it on me.“Thank you for taking care of me.”Anna shook her head. “It wasn’t me, Mistress. Master stayed up all night with you, and when you complained of feeling cold, he asked me to get a warm blanket for you as he was worried about your health.”I blinked in surprise, feeling a mix of gratitude and confusion. Andrew? I hadn’t expected that. I knew he said he would stay to take care of me, but I had

Andrew's POV I walked out of Sheila's room, anger boiling in my veins. Her father's audacity and arrogance had crossed a line I couldn’t ignore any longer. I had quietly come to Sheila's room to check up on her thinking she might be asleep, only to hear the conversation between her and her shameless father which was just too irritating. I slammed the office door behind me and grabbed my phone, dialing Dr. Augustine's number immediately. "Dr. Augustine, it's Andrew. There is someone I need you to take care of; I'll send you the details later.Transfer her to the best hospital in town and make sure she's adequately been taken care of by the best doctors and nurses. I'll send you her details as soon as possible and spare no expense," I said firmly. "Consider it done, Sir. I'll make the arrangements immediately.” I hung up and tried to regain my composure. It seemed Stevenson hadn't learnt his lesson after I made his company go bankrupt and publicly announced that my wife wasn't so

Alan's POVI was pacing back and forth in my room, going over my plan for the umpteenth time, making sure there were no mistakes. If I could pull this off, maybe I could get back in my father’s good graces and avoid being disowned. As I was deep in thought, my phone rang, breaking the silence. I glanced at the screen and saw Phoebe’s name. She was the last person I wanted to talk to right now.I wasn't ready for her usual nonsense and arguments, but her calls had become so persistent that she even started using unknown numbers to reach me. Finally fed up, I decided to answer this time to get her off my back.“Hello?” I said, trying to keep my voice calm.“Alan!” Phoebe’s voice was sharp and accusatory. “Why haven’t you been answering my calls? Are you out of your mind? Why didn’t you tell me it was Mr. Walker in the video, not you?”“Phoebe, I don’t have time for this—”“No, you listen to me!” she interrupted. “Do you know you’ve messed things up for me? Andrew's POVI'd been anticipating this night for a while, though attending Alan’s company charity event was never something I thought I'd be excited about. But tonight felt different. There was a certain satisfaction in knowing that the evening would be unforgettable, especially with what I had planned.I found Sheila in the living room, nervously pacing with the invitation in her hand."Why do you want us to go to Alan's event?" she asked hesitantly. "It doesn’t seem like something you’d usually care about."She was right—it wasn’t my kind of event. But I wasn’t going to let Alan enjoy the evening without us being there. I stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I know it seems strange, but trust me, Sheila. I've got it all under control."Her eyes searched mine, filled with doubt. "What if they laugh at me? I don’t belong in that world, Andrew. Even when I was with Alan, I never went to those dinner parties because he thought I’d embarrass him with my poor educa

Alan's POV I stood confidently at the center of the charity event, basking in the attention. This was supposed to be a moment of pride, another success to add to my list. I had taken my time to select the most pitiful videos of orphanage and disabled homes in order to gain the sympathy of the audience so as to achieve my aim.I was already hearing gasps and murmurs to prove that they were moved by the poor state of the children being displayed, but the next thing I heard was my father's angry voice."You bastard! What's the meaning of this?”Why was he looking like an angry bull? I watched as the crowd pointed at the big screen and threw disdainful, hateful glances at me. Confused, I turned to the screen, wondering why they looked upset and I was horrified.I felt the color drain from my face as the images of Phoebe and me filled the screen, the sound echoing across the room. The video wasn’t the promotional content we had prepared. No, it was Phoebe's sex video being displayed! To

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Shattered reality

Phoebe’s POV I stood outside my mother’s bedroom, holding the fashion magazine in my hand. I had spent hours flipping through its pages, and had marked a few pieces from the latest collection by my favorite designer. The excitement bubbling within me was almost too much to contain. I couldn’t wait to show her the clothes I wanted to get for my friend's birthday party. I knew money was a bit tight due to the company's financial situation, but I knew how to press my mother's buttons to get her to get me the clothes. But as I pushed open the door and stepped inside, the atmosphere felt…off. My mother stood by the window, her back rigid, hands clenched at her sides. She turned slowly to face me, and the coldness in her eyes made my heart skip a beat. “Mom, look at—” My words were abruptly cut off by the sting of her hand slapping my cheek. The magazine slipped from my fingers, landing on the floor. I was too stunned to react, my mind scrambling to understand what had just happened.

I stared out the window, the trees blurring past as the car sped down the road. “Are you okay?” Andrew’s voice broke the silence, soft and full of concern. He glanced at me a few times, probably concerned by how I had withdrawn into myself. I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn’t turn to meet them. I couldn’t.I nodded, not trusting myself to speak. The truth was, I wasn’t okay. I was far from okay. My heart ached, and my mind wouldn’t stop replaying the day I caught Alan and Phoebe together after I watched their leaked video. It was like an old wound had been torn open, and no matter how much I tried to hold it together, the pain kept seeping through.I could still see them, tangled up in each other, the shock and betrayal hitting me like a tidal wave. I had thought I was over it—over them. But seeing that video… It was like it happened all over again. The disbelief, the hurt, the anger. It was all there, gnawing at

I kept telling her I had enough, but my sweet Granny wouldn't hear of it. "Sheila," Mom began, her voice gentle yet curious, "I've noticed Andrew dropping you off quite often lately. Are you two back together?" A warm blush immediately crept up my cheeks. I paused, folding a shirt, and then replied, "We're just taking things slowly, Mom. One step at a time." She looked at me with a knowing smile, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I see," she said, her tone teasing. "Well, if you're really sure about giving Andrew another chance, then I give you my blessings." I felt a surge of happiness and gratitude. I walked over to her, enveloping her in a tight hug. • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife    The Fight Had Just Begun

Andrew's POVA few weeks had passed since the chaos surrounding Therese and everything else had settled. Alfred was back to work after being suspended for weeks without pay, and things with Sheila had been going progressively smoothly. I had been buried in work, the weight of the business constantly hanging over my head. As I sat in my office, typing away on my laptop, a sharp knock on the door interrupted my concentration. Before I could respond, the door swung open, and my parents entered. My secretary rushed in after them, looking flustered. It was obvious she had tried to stop them, but they were having none of it. "Andrew," my father called out, his tone already tinged with annoyance. My mother followed behind him, her expression unreadable but no less intense. My secretary stepped into my office and began to explain. "I... I apologize, Mr. Walker. They insisted on seeing you immediately," she said nervously. Sheila's POVAs the plane touched down in the city, I felt a sense of relief mixed with anxiety. We were finally back, but the weight of everything that had happened still loomed over me. As soon as the plane’s door opened, the cold rush of air hit us, and I could see the flashing lights of police cars waiting on the tarmac. They were already here, prepared for whatever would unfold next. As we began to step off the plane, the sound of raised voices reached us. Turning around, I saw Andrew's guards holding Anna back, their grip firm as she struggled against them. "Please, I just need to talk to her!" Anna cried out desperately, her voice trembling. "I promise I don't mean any harm!"Andrew’s expression darkened as he stepped forward. “Take her away,” he ordered, his tone cold and unyielding. “I don’t want to see her again.” “No! Sheila's POVI didn’t know where Andrew was taking me, but I could see how furious and upset he was. His mood was dark, and I could feel the weight of his emotions without him saying a word to me. I didn’t even ask. There was something about him that made me want to follow quietly, unsure how I was going to calm him down, and not wanting to make his mood worse. He led me to a secluded part of the plane, a small, well-decorated room that looked almost like a personal cabin. Before I could ask any questions, Andrew shut the door behind us. His eyes, filled with a storm of emotions, met mine for a brief moment before he suddenly pulled me into his arms. I froze, caught off guard by the suddenness of his embrace. He pressed his head against my shoulder, holding me tightly as though trying to find some comfort. We stood there for a few seconds, both unsure of what to do. Hesitantly, I began to pat his back, uncertain of how to respond. “They turned against me! I trusted them so muc

  • Becoming The Billionaire's Fake Wife   Therese 2

Andrew’s POV I was trying so hard to understand what I had just heard. Anna, the woman who had served me so faithfully all these years, had been hiding something this massive from me. How could Therese be Anna's daughter? I stared at her, disbelief flooding my veins. I hadn’t known Anna had a child, let alone one who was working in my mansion under false pretenses. “What’s going on, Anna?” I asked, my voice thick with anger and confusion. “How is it possible that your daughter has been working here without my knowledge?” Anna’s face twisted with a mix of guilt and fear, tears welling up in her eyes. She had never been one to break down easily, but this time, it was different. “She’s not really my daughter, Master,” Anna explained shakily, her voice quivering. “She’s my late twin sister’s child… I raised her as my own after my sister passed away. I’ve done everything I could to give her a good life, everything. I sent money whenever I could, supported her when she needed it. I

Everything is confirmed,” the voice on the other end said. “Good,” I replied with a nod before hanging up. It had taken a lot of effort to organize this, but I knew it would definitely be worth it. I turned to Alfred. “Are the movement schedules finalized? And the cars we'll be using once we land?” He nodded. “Yes, Master. Everything has been arranged as per your instructions. Everything has been confirmed.” “Excellent,” I replied, leaning slightly against the window frame. I allowed myself a small smile, one of satisfaction. The truth was, I knew Sheila wouldn’t have come willingly if I had asked her outright. She would’ve found an excuse, some way to evade me. That’s why I had to take matters into my own hands. It wasn’t ideal, but it was necessary. Alfred tilted his head, ob
