ARABELLA POV

It’s been five days since I last saw Mia. Five good days. Apart from the fact that my life has been good ever since her overbearing self disappeared from it, I can’t say the same for her. I’m absolutely sure she loathes me by now; maybe even more than I could ever imagine.

Shrugging, I washed my hands off in the hospital sink and raised the overalls over my head, placing it on the head board and walking straight into the powder room. Should I shower here or not? I could really use the shower; it was nice to not smell in goo, blood, puke and fluid.

Trashing all odds, I removed my clothes and had a quick bath. It was a small shower stall, but it would help greatly… and it did, really. By the times I was done and leaving the stall, I met another nurse coming on.

“Oh, you’re here!” he said.

“Yes,” I smiled wearily. “I’m here.”

“Great, because the Alpha is looking for you in your office.”
