Chapter 5

"What kind of crazy fate is this?" For a split second, I widened my eyes when I saw the president's face. Even reflexively, I almost moved backward. But I quickly got a hold of myself and stayed in place. This unexpected event must not affect me. I was probably too surprised, but I'll get over it later.

I was still staring at the face of this man I had met before. I couldn't possibly forget how that perfect sculpture frolicked over me when I got drunk and rented her for one night. He had scarce features and facial features. Even my misty eyes can't just forget him. Especially his eyes were the color of the deep ocean. Those eyes had once trapped me in a prison of desire and madness more than anything else in the world.

I took a slow breath and gulped my saliva slowly. The way this man looked at me felt so sharp and piercing. If only the gaze could kill, I would have been bleeding under his feet by now.  Just look at how he made me unable to move away from him, even though he was silent and didn't utter a single word from his mouth. 

It felt like my head was spinning. 

His aura, as well as his determination, really made me unable to think clearly. In order to retain some of my sanity that was about to evaporate, I turned my gaze in another direction with my mouth half-mumbling, "How could that host be here?"

I reflexively closed my mouth tightly. I was worried that the man sitting there would hear my voice. I might get into trouble if that happened. After all, he was sitting in the president's seat right now. He could have had another title. But his presence here made it clear that he had a good position that could allow him to be so free in the room of the most influential person in this company.

And it looks like my guess was correct if that man heard my voice. In the next second, I could listen to his heavy voice forcing me to return my attention to him. "And now you're going to try to escape again?" 

I looked up and saw that the man was intently looking at me. "How dare you think of me as a host?" 

Every question he asked managed to make my hair stand on end. He never emphasized his words. It was just that the way he was staring was like he could skin me alive. 

I turned back to him with wide eyes. "Isn't that right?" I'm pretty sure that night, we hired a host, and we had fantastic sex. I couldn't possibly forget that. Or am I the wrong person? 

That's impossible. I had checked my savings account balance, and it had disappeared by a huge amount in just one night. If I ran away, he might not be the only one looking for me. The bar owner would terrorize me and put my face on the internet like a thief.

But the moment that question slipped out of my mouth, the man I initially thought was the bar host stood up immediately. His tall body blocked the sunlight from the glass window behind his body. And inevitably, it just made his handsome face even more attractive. 

With his flat face that seemed to have been born expressionless, the man straightened up. "Don't you know what room this is?" 

Hearing his question, I immediately racked my brain and recalled. This was the room of the president, the company leader he would be heading. And that's when the realization slapped me so hard. I was almost taken aback by my thoughts when I realized one thing. "You're the leader of this company?"

I couldn't control my voice, which sounded like a squashed rat. 

The man nodded and said, "Yes, that's me." Then my legs went limp. Half of my strength seemed to vanish instantly. I had hired the president of the most outstanding company in town for sex.

And the man now casually grabbed the nameplate neatly placed on the table, moving it forward so I could see it. "Easton Winchester."

My eyes couldn't move from there, and I kept reading it repeatedly. And now, I again heard the man's voice speaking, "And you are the one who was so bold as to say that I did such a job." He said it so lowly as if it was the most despicable job in the world.

"In fact, I am the most honorable man here. And you were so presumptuous as to run away after doing such a thing to me." The additional sentence that the man said confused me.

I winced, looking at him with several things spinning in my head. "Didn't I pay you?"

I'm pretty sure I did it. How could I run away after hiring a host? That's a shameful act. Especially considering how the service was provided. It was impossible if I didn't even tip her.

However, instead of nodding, Iston looked at me so coldly that you felt like you were being doused by ice water. "Pay?" he asked lowly. There was a smirk on her lips that made me cringe even more. "On a dime like that?"

Damn, I forgot that what I gave him was probably just worthless change. He was a rich and powerful man. Surely, the dollar I gave her wouldn't be enough to pay for lunch for him. This is terrible. I might be in danger now. I'm no match for him when it comes to money and wealth. He's already a leader, while you just applied for a job here as his subordinate.

I saw him lean in and look at me intently. "Now, you can't escape anymore." 

Every word that came out was like the man was plunging a dagger into my heart. Everything was right on target, and I couldn't even catch my breath. He pressed against me without touching me at all.

"I'll monitor whatever you're about to do, and it's a suitable payment for everything you've done to me." 

Oh shit, now my knees felt so weak. My throat went dry, and I began to imagine a thousand and one bad scenarios that a powerful man like him could have done. Especially in his office, where he could do whatever he wanted.

"I can't run away now. I've signed a contract with him." And he would use that to make my day very bad. He was the powerful president, and I would serve as his secretary. He might drain my strength like a horse or squeeze my sweat like a livestock for his produce. This was so horrible! How could the moon goddess trap me in a situation like this?
