Chapter 19: Tensions.

Seraphina’s POV

I took a deep breath, bracing myself. “I… I guess I got a bit carried away,” I admitted, trying to keep my tone light.

Alfred’s eyes narrowed. “This is excessive, Seraphina. You don’t need all of this.”

I felt a flush of embarrassment creeping up my neck. “I know, but... it was my first time. I didn’t realize how much I was getting.”

Elliot stepped in, his tone soothing. “Alfred, it’s not a big deal. She was just having some fun. It’s not every day you get to experience this kind of luxury.”

Alfred raised a hand, stopping Elliot from speaking any further. The look on his face was stern and cold. Elliot’s eyes widened a bit before he collected himself, and with a bow, he left the two of us alone in the living room.
