Sage's POV

'Ask away Theodore, I also don't know when Diego and I tied the knot' I thought to myself yet clinging to Diego to put up an act seeing as Theodore looked drained of color.

The pulse on his neck ticked as he tightened his jaw. He looked angry. Jealous even.

What a loser, I thought. One question bugged me though, how on earth was he out of jail? I remembered tossing the evidence of his dirty deeds to the police and also had seen the police cars go into the house that day so how come he barged into my office with the guts to question my decisions?

I glanced at Violet only to find her discretely squinting at me. She showed no signs of being in shock which was very much appreciated. It would have been a dead giveaway of the lie if she were. Her eyes, however, had lots of questions in them.
