Chapter 4

The conversation between Adeline and her Aunt Samantha lasted a few minutes before she decided to leave. Her aunt even invited her to just eat lunch there but she declined it warmly because she said she was still full. But the truth is that she did not accept the invitation because her main purpose of going there isn't around. Drake.

It was still early and she had nothing else to do at their house so she decided to just go shopping. She realized that it's been a while since she went for a shopping and she felt a little bit different. She went to a mall and she was amazed of much it had changed.

There are so many mall now. Poverty is rarely seen in the city.  Or maybe she just doesn't know because she's not used to wandering around. She prefers staying at home and stalk Drake's social media account.

When she arrived at the mall, she was so happy looking around and she enjoyed the moment, she didn't even realize that it was night already. She finally decided to go straight home when she received a call from one of her friend, Dan. She invited her to go out. And because she misses being with her friend and going out with her, she said yes.

They went to a bar. The very famous bar of the town. Grenouille's Bar. She's been there a few times now and she can't deny the fact that bar is really good rather than the bars she had been to.

She was so happy and several men came to approached her and her friend Dan keeps on teasing her and tells her that she still haven't change at all. She's still poisonous and attractive to men even though she keeps on ignoring them and not giving them attention at all times.

"I really envy you, Ads. I, however, still keeps on gaining weight and I think I'm getting fatter everyday. Ugh! And it really stressed me out." Dan said to her with a frustration look. Adeline laughed softly at her friends reaction.

"Who said you're getting fatter? No you're not, Dan. You're boobs just became even bigger!" Dan laughed hard. 

"Yeah you're right. And my boyfriend loves it a lot." Dan said then touched her boobies.

"Ewww! That's so gross." Zhanarah jokingly reacted to her friend and made a disgusted look. Dan rolled her eyes at her and laughed.

She also once had a boyfriend when she left for New York, but their relationship didn't last long and it didn't also ended well. They just lasted for about one year. She thought at first that the man was good enough for her,  and she even gave everything for him, except of course for the very important thing that she has. She wouldn't give it to just anyone. She already reserved it to the man of her dreams. Even though its impossible.

The reason for their break up is because the man cheated on her. She caught him making out with some woman on a bar. When she confronted him, he even got mad at her and told her he did that because she won't give him her virginity. What a motherfucker and a low living creature he was for doing that. And she regretted that he had loved a man like him for almost one year. She was so stupid.

After what happened, she had lost her interest finding a new one. She got traumatized. She don't want anything and anyone for now except Drake. Even though she knew that it would be impossible. At least she already knew the result, the less pain she will get.

She shook her head to erased the painful past. She shouldn't think of it now. She needs to enjoy. She went to the bar counter and men's eyes were all over her, salivating at her like stray dogs. Who wouldn't? She's wearing a black spaghetti strap crop top match with a denim short and black high heeled boots. She also had a denim jacket with her but she didn't wore it because she felt so hot. Thank goodness she wore this outfit today.

"One sex on the beach please." She ordered and the bartender nodded at her. She turned to face the dance floor. And the scenario is very crazy. Women are dancing and are almost half naked, brushing off their hips to men, wiggling their butts in their crotches making them turn on and hard.

"Here's your order ma'am. One sex on the beach." The bartender said then handed her the order. She winked at the bartender and he blushed. She smiled at his reaction. He looks cute.

She went back to her friend Dan on their table  but she was nowhere to be found.

"That girl, really!" She said and shook her head. Dan must've been with some guy out their in the dance floor dancing.

Dan's boyfriend is okay with the idea that she's going out in a bar. It doesn't bother him as long as Dan wouldn't do something that will break his trust. He said that it's okay for her to go out and have fun sometimes but she should know her limits. And he admires the man for that. He's practical. That's the kind of man he wanted to be with for the rest of her life.

She was just sitting and enjoying the music while sipping her wine when a man approached him.

"Hey! Adeline, right?" He asked and Adeline looked at him in a confused look. She can't see the man's face fully because of the bars lightnings.

"Yes? Do I know you?" She asked then stood up in the couch.

"It's me Lycan." He answered and Adeline then tried to think if he knew someone with that kind of name.

"Uhm, are we uhm, know each other personally? Or maybe on sns?" She asked, still confused about the man's identity. She really doesn't remember him.

"Ohh, I'm Drake's friend. Didn't you remember me?" When he said Drakes name she then finally remembered the man in Drake's house. Actually there was two of them.

"Oh, yes. I remember now. Who's the other one again?" She asked.

"It's Kael." He replied simply.

"Oh yes." She nodded.

"What are you doing here anyway all by yourself?" He asked.

"Ohh I'm not alone. I'm with a friend of mine." She said and sipped her wine. "How about you? Having a good time, eh?"

"Actually, we aren't. We're here to support Drake's sadness and heartbreak hahahaah!" He said then laughed very hard. Adeline got confused again.

*Sadness and heartbreak? What does he mean?* She thought.

"Huh?" She asked not knowing what he really meant.

"Well, her girlfriend left him for New York."

*The heck?* She felt bad for Drake at the same time she felt happy.

*So that means she already have a chance with him?* She thought.

She knows it was so wrong of her to fantasize that now but she can't helped it. It's like music to her ears.

"I'm sorry to hear that." She apologized to Drake's friend but in her inside she her heart was dancing with so much happiness.

"Oh you don't have to."

"LEAVE THE FUCK ALONE! I DON'T WANT ANYTHING! JUST BRING ME NATASHA!" Drake's voice overflowed the music of the bar. He was very drunk and can't seem to stand straight. His other friend Kael is trying to put him down on a chair but he continued to struggle.

"Fuck man! Don't be so hardheaded. Just sit down and chill. We'll get into fight with what you are doing right now." Kael frustratingly said.

Adeline and Lycan hurriedly went to Drake's table.

"What's happening?" Adeline ask worriedly.

"Ohh. Hi. Thank goodness you are here. Can you please make him stop? If not then send him home. He pissed the hell out of me. I might punch him any time now." Kael said while shaking his head in frustration then drank his beer.

"C'mon dude! We're here to help you out." Lycan said and was about to pat Drake's back Drake quickly slapped his hands.

"NO! NO! JUST BRING ME NATASHA! I JUST WANT NATASHA!" He shouted and people are kept looking at them.

Adeline is just standing right beside him. He looks messed. His hair is so messy, his shirt is all crumpled and his eyes were all red.

*But he still looks handsome and hot.* Her mind shouted at her.  She shook her head. She shouldn't think of that kind of things now.

She went to Drake's and sat beside him. She should bring him home now. Aunt Samantha will be worried about him.

"Hey Drake?" He called the man's name and it suddenly turned to face him.

"Natasha?" He blurted out and Adeline's got hurt.

"No. It's Ads. We should go home now." She said and helped him to stand up. She also took the beer in his hands and put it in the table.

"Natasha? Love? I'm sorry." He said, pain and love can be seen in his eyes and Adeline's seeing it hurts her very much. If only he could at Adeline that way. If only she was the woman who's Drake is mentioning.

She asked help to Drake's friend to put him in her car because she'll be the one to drive Drake home.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Lycan asked when they were already outside.

"Yeah, of course." She smiled at him.

"Okay. Take care and be safe." Lycan said then nodded.

Adeline started the engine then drove the car out of the bar. Then she remembered her friend Dan.

"Fuck! I haven't told her I'm leaving. Shit! She must've been looking for me." She mumbled to herself.

She sighed. She'll just call her once they reaches Drake's house.

She turned to face to man beside her. He was sleeping peacefully. She continued driving and minutes later they arrived at Drakes house. She went down in her car first then hurriedly went to Drake's and was about to unbuckle his seat belt when the man eyes opened.

"Adeline?" He blurted out her name and Adeline's heart beat went crazy.

Hearing his said her name is not so normal for her. It gives chills to her body.

"Yes?" She asked, looking at the man's eye's.

But Drake isn't saying anything. He's just looking at her face then to her lips.

Adeline suddenly bit her lips unconsciously and gulped.

Drakes eyes were locked into her lips and the next thing happened shock her to death.

Drake  suddenly grabbed her and kissed her. Her eyes widen with shock. But after seconds, she had recovered and closed her eyes. Feeling the sensation of his lips.

She knew it was wrong for her to do that. It isn't proper. But she can't helped it. His lips is so soft that she can't stop herself from kissing back.
