2023-02-02 04:13:32Damon Miles’ assistant stood unmoved by the words of Jane, he was not only shocked by how brave she was but also proposing to a man. Damon turns his attention to jane. A petite figure, long slender legs.
“Good for modeling” he compliments her inwardly. He raises his eyes brow at her indicating she repeats herself.
“Your bride isn’t here, and my groom won’t be coming” it took her all her courage to remain standing infront of him without batting an eyelid. Damon takes off his sunglasses revealing a pair of deep blue eyes. This made him look even sexier, he continued staring at her intensely as if wanting to fish out the truth from her soul.
“Details” he turns to his assistant who quickly handed him the iPad he was looking into. He was swift and knew just how to do his job right. The assistant recognized Jane at first glance, she was the envy of so many and on the top hence it would have been very difficult not to know her since she was in the same industry with just a difference in the company.
He did a quick search on what the ex-model has been doing in the past two years and was indeed pleased. Damon goes through the details and nods slightly, he hands the iPad to his assistant.
“Let’s go” he takes her by the hand and walks her inside. He was not only known in the entertainment industry but all over the country and abroad, everything was carried out swiftly and soon the couple walks out.
Jane felt meeting Damon is the greatest luck she has encountered in her life for such a long time. She held her marriage certificate tight. She was no longer single, she was now a married woman with a fire of vengeance ready to burn down her ex to ashes.
“President Damon, may I have a word with you?” Jane asks. Damon puts back his sunglasses and leads the way to his car. Jane follows closely behind him not daring to walk fast. It was more like a servant trailing the steps of her master. After the got into the range rover, she looks up at him nervously.
“I wish to say thank you for accepting my request. If you need me for anything please do let me know” she fidgets with her fingers, this altitude of hers caught the attention of Damon, he understood that was not all she had to say so he kept quiet urging her to continue talking.
“I do have a small request to ask of you”
“Hmm” Damon nods his head. “I dont want our relationship out on the public for the time being if that’s okay with you. I want to take care of my private affairs, and I will be faithful and stay away from other men” she was straightforward with her request.
“I will give you 6 months to have your personal affairs sought out, a marriage trial of 6 months. Our marriage will be publicly announced after 6 months.” Jane noted in the approval
“Thank you” she genuinely felt grateful towards him, she nodded slightly at him and stepped out of the car. Damon’s assistant who has been listening to the couple from the front seat, looks at him from the review mirror, president are we heading to the company or the mansion?” he asked. They had to inform the old man about the marriage and also handle a couple of meetings set out for the day.
“Follow her” Damon knew Jane, he was a famous model and it was no doubt he knew her. He knew something must be off with the sudden marriage proposal.
“President” his assistant called making sure he heard him right. A pair of cold eyes stared back at him intensely. His assistant instantly regretted his words. He could feel him even with his sunglasses on. he has been working with Damon for so many years yet those set of cold eyes still makes him flinch for the first time.
Damon walks out of the car and walks to another car while his assistant drives away closely after Jane. Damon stare into space on his drive back to the office, he still remembered she had a love relationship with Dave Jones. He was the fall of her career. The ride home was a quiet one.
Jane did not talk nor did she dare to breathe, she could not believe what she just did. She had no idea where the courage came from. This was a new feeling and the fire of vengeance burned even harder. She is interrupted by a call from, she picks up the phone, and it’s Dave. how she wishes she could curse him and swear at him. She puts the phone on speaker.
“Babe” Dave’s voice echoes from the speaker of the phone.
“Yes,” Jane replied coldly, Dave knew she was angry and her anger was justified.
“I am sorry, I promise I will make it up to you, we will fly out for our honey mood next time” Jane smiles bitterly. There was no next time, she was already married.
“What’s wrong,” Jane asked again. Dave knew she knew him too well so he stopped beating around the bush.
“I know I said the last time it won’t happen again, however, Leslie is hurt and she can’t perform in the Galaxy Arts tonight,” Dave explains. Jane knew what was coming up.
“So let me guess, you want me to fill in for her yet again?” fat round tear balls fall from her eyes. He just missed their marriage and instead of being apologetic, he was having her fill in for his mistress.
“Babe, you know she is the star of the company, and we can’t disappoint. It’s a mask show and you just have to be present”
As always he was ready to give up on her than have his mistress suffer even a scratch, but not again. it had to stop at a point and since no one said when anytime is a perfect time.
“Okay,” Jane smiled bitterly.
“Everything is ready I love you”
