Chapter 34

Just before Peggy's hand could land on Calla's face, Calla grabbed Peggy's wrist and gave her a shove that sent her stumbling.

Pointing at Peggy, Calla reprimanded furiously, "I've tolerated you for long enough. I'm warning you. Provoke me again, and I'll beat you up to a pulp!"

Peggy had never received such treatment before. She glared at Calla while clenching her hands into fists.

Calla's eyes bore into Peggy's with contempt. Her anger was so intense that she no longer cared about the fact that she was at Atlas. She was determined to settle all scores with Peggy right then and there.

At that moment, someone exclaimed in surprise, "M-Mr. Garland?"

Calla glanced up to see Mercer standing in the doorway, with Derek, the manager at the finance department, behind him.

There was no expression on Mercer's face, but a hint of hostility could be seen in his eyes as he gazed at Calla and Peggy. Calla suddenly felt at a loss.

The room fell silent, and everyone froze in place.
