After Mercer sat down, Calla felt a bit awkward and quickly said, "I'll make some tea."

Without waiting for his response, she turned and walked into the small kitchen.

She hadn't boiled water yet, so she hurried to do so, then took out a tea bag and placed it into a cup.

She never expected him to come by today and felt incredibly nervous, like her heart was about to leap out of her chest.

The small apartment was quiet, with only the sound of the boiling water. The person outside remained seated on the couch, likely feeling the same way.

After a few minutes, Calla finally emerged from the kitchen with a cup of hot tea.

"Have some tea." Calla placed the cup in front of Mercer with both hands.

"Thank you." Today, Mercer was particularly polite, even a bit aloof. With his sunglasses on, it was impossible to read his emotions.
