Jake returned to the hospital the next morning,he came neatly dressed and had high hopes of seeing Jamie and his baby.

It was early in the morning and he found his parents sleeping soundly on the large couch.The nurses passing by smiled at him and he greeted them in return.

He opened the door quietly and a smile already formed on his lips.He was happy.

However when he walked towards the bed there was no one but rumpled sheets and the duvet hanged over the bed.The smile dissipated and he forced himself to believe she was probably in the bath but when he peeked in the crib his son was missing too.

He rushed to the bath and forced the door open.It was empty and it didn't look like anyone used it.

"No.." he whimpered,fear consuming him.He left the room and his panic-stricken voice jerked his parents awake.

"Dad..mom, where's..where's Jamie? She's not in there and..and my son isn't in his crib!"
