Daddy's coming

While Jamie managed to put her crying son to sleep, Milton packed the accessories from his car into the house. Jamie quietly left the room in order not to wake her son up and stopped abruptly by the stairway watching Milton bring in the things he shopped.

Jamie was instantly moved to tears. She hadn't agreed for him to do this but he didn't mind and now all alone he was moving them into the house. From the crib to the massive clothes and shoes and socks, no one would ever think they weren't his family. Earlier today, he even called her baby his son and stood up for them. She wiped her tears as she thought Jake should have been the one doing this. They would have been a happy and perfect family. Jamie was scared. She knew that she wouldn't stay with Milton for long and she had no plans whatsoever. She scolded herself for getting too comfortable and forgetting that she was still in Chicago.
