The next day, Madison went to work but is still thinking about the incident yesterday. Madison couldn’t forget about the man she saw who disappeared in a speed of light. It gave her goosebumps all night.

“Hey!”

“Holly molly! What?” Madison almost skipped a heartbeat because of shock when her doctor gay friend, Charlie, tapped her on the back.

“Girl! You got to stop drinking coffee! You don’t look pretty anymore, what’s the stress honey?”

“I survive because of coffee. What are you doing here?”

“I have no more patients for today. That’s great, kids getting sick are decreasing so does my bank account balance.”

“So? Why are you here? Are you going to spend your free time bothering me?”

“Nope! I came here to congratulate you about the show. I wanted to congratulate you earlier but I couldn’t find time. Anyway, I’m seeing you on the television! I’m excited!”

“It’s just a one-time thing, and I’m just a guest.”

“Who knows? If they see you, they might cast you again. Ready to receive some business cards from entertainment agencies?”

“Shut up, I won’t be receiving any. Even if I do, I won’t accept it anyway.”

Madison drinks water as Charlie continues to speak.

“I heard that the handsome actor, my love and dearest Aleister, is part of the cast. Have you met him yet?” Madison puts her cup down and shook her head.

“I haven’t seen him; I don’t even know him. We had the briefing yesterday but he didn’t come.”

“Gosh, you’re so lucky to be casted with him. Do you know how big a celebrity he is?”

“No.” Charlie side-eyed her and shook his head.

“What a boring life you have, indeed. I would rather be an unknown doctor than to be like you, who is great and known, but lives in a boring life. You should go have a life!”

“I’m breathing, so I have a life.”

“Whatever, I’m going now! Make sure to ask Aleister an autograph for me!”

“Like I would.” Charlie glared at her and she just faked a smile. He left and Madison just laughed.

Meanwhile, Louve came to a warehouse where the two new vampire victims are being held. The guy from the hospital and the woman who fell from the rooftop are both tied up in a chair. It was the werewolves who pretended to be emergency staffs to rescue the woman from the fall. It is also why they made a reason for Madison not to be able to join them on the ambulance.

“Louve, I think Madison is already suspecting. She went to the rooftop yesterday and a vampire even locked her there. Fortunately, a werewolf was there. It could have been dangerous for her if no one was guarding her,” said by one of the werewolves.

“Knowing her, if she gets suspicious of something she won’t stop until she finds answers. I also think that it’s time to let her slowly enter our world.”

“So, you would just let her get involve with us and the vampires?”

“Yes, just make sure she doesn’t get harm in anyway.”

They stopped talking when both of the vampire victims woke up. The man looked at Louve angrily.

“What do you want from us?! Why are you keeping us here?!”

“Don’t worry we wont harm you. We keep you here so you can avoid hurting people; you’ll thank us eventually.”

“So why are you keeping us here? And what do you mean by, us, hurting other people?” asked by the woman calmly.

“Do you remember what happened to you? Do you remember falling from a rooftop?”

“Y-Yeah, I-I do remember.”

“Well, didn’t you even wonder how you’re still alive? Falling from the rooftop which has twenty floors is just either death or being critical in the hospital. Check yourself, no major injury or even bruises. Do you still think you’re a human?” The woman seemed shock by the last question. She examines her body and realizes all the things Louve said.

“Just go straight to the point you woman! Why are you being overdramatic?!” yelled by the man who starts to be impatient. Louve looked at him before stepping back and signaling her men to untie them.

“You guys are not human anymore. You’ve been infected by a vampire. You,” she says as she points to the man. “You’ve been attacked by a monster on an alley near a hospital. You almost got cremated, thank us that we picked you up. Also, don’t you remember attacking me? Well, it’s okay because it’s normal to black-out when you first have your powers.”

The man looked so shock and was in disbelief after hearing what Louve said. His eyes started to turn red and she tried to attack Louve but the other werewolves managed to stop him.

Louve turns to the woman and pointed her as she speaks.

“And you, if you think he was a perverted man then you’re wrong. He wasn’t trying to do anything sexual, he bit you and then you fell. Your heart stopped when you were inside the ambulance. You are alive now because of the vampire infection.” She stepped back and looked at both of the victims. “Both of you are now vampires and are immortals. Your heart is not beating at this moment, because that’s how vampires are. While we...we are the werewolves. The enemies of the vampires.”

Both the man and the woman become alerted as they heard Louve’s last sentence. She spoke again even before they can move.

“Don’t worry, as I said earlier, we will not harm you. We will send you to the vampires, don’t worry you’ll be in good hands. I know it’s not easy to process everything you just heard, but that’s just how life works. It’s up to you how to interpret it. You might look at this on a brighter side because you would be able to live for hundred or thousand years or think of it as a curse. It’s up to you and good luck.” Louve left after biding her goodbyes to them.

Meanwhile, Madison is currently at the rooftop of the hospital talking her break. She is sitting at a bench near the barricades while feeling the cold breeze of the air. She can’t stop thinking about what she saw at the rooftop yesterday. What bothers her the most is the man she saw at another building and his red glowing eyes.

Madison puts her cup of coffee down at the bench and brings out, from her pocket, the bracelet she found. She examines the bracelet and stares at the pendant with the letter V on it. Madison still wonders where the woman from the fall went.

“What is going on?” she softly asks herself as she creases the bracelet.

Few minutes later, the wind become strong and aggressive. People on the rooftop started panicking and evacuating. Madison stood up to enter the building but the wind became more aggressive and caused her to have a hard time walking.

The direction of the wind is opposite to the way where Madison is headed. That is why every step she takes becomes hard as it contradicts her body force. The wind become too strong that Madison lost her balance. She got pushed by the wind all the way to the barricade of the rooftop.

She tries to hold and go against the force of the wind. She suddenly saw a man, wearing a mask, running towards her but even before he could reach her, she lost balance and slipped at the barricade of the rooftop.

She thought that the man won’t be able to help her in that situation given that they are falling from the rooftop of a fifty floors tall building. Suddenly, she saw his eyes glow in yellow and eventually managed to reach her. He holds her waist and legs and carried her in a newly-wed style. “W-what...” Madison couldn’t finish her words as they come closer on the ground. The next day, Madison went to the building where the fall accident happened. She was hoping that she could see CCTV footages on the day of the accident. She went to the rooftop and hoped that she could discover something. All of a sudden, a middle-aged man entered the rooftop and approached Madison. “Excuse me, miss? What are you doing here? Who are you?” Madison turned as soon as she heard his voice. “I’m sorry, I was just looking for something. By the way, who are you?” Madison hesitantly asked the man. “I’m the owner of this building. Do you need help? I came up here to completely lock this rooftop. There was an accident here days ago and I thought it would be a total bad luck if it happens again, so I decided to lock the rooftop.” “Ah, about the accident—” “Are you a reporter? If that’s what you’re here for I think you should leave. My business is greatly a

“Mallory, a little piece of advice, just focus on your goal and we’ll focus on ours. At this point, you might want to start thinking a new plan, because your current plan won’t work.” “Aleister, a little piece of advice too, don’t try hard to impress your father or anyone else by doing something you don’t want. I know you don’t want to be here; you’re just forced as the next superior leader. Why don’t you do what you want?” “You must be thankful that I’m not doing what I want, because if I did, I would have killed you first.” “You’re no match for me.” “Someone was or will be born to end you, watch it happen.” The two vampires stayed silent and just intensely stared at each other. Aleister’s manager entered which broke the tension between the two. “Aleister, we have to leave.” Aleister looked at Mallory for the last time b

A week passed and today is the filming of the talk show. Madison gets dressed as she prepares to leave for the filming. She turns around when she heard a knock on her room’s door. “Madi! Are you ready?” Louve excitedly asked as she walks towards her. “I’m so nervous, what if I mess up?” “Come on! You prepared a lot for this day! I know you’ll do great. Just do what you practiced.” “Can’t you come with me? I might panic when the camera starts rolling.” “Madison Suarez, you’ll do great! Trust me! It’s normal to be nervous since it’s your first time but just take deep breaths and you’ll be fine.” “That sounded weird.” Louve slightly strikes Madison’s nape. “Aw! Do you want me to have a broken neck during the show?” “It’s because you have to start cleaning your dirty mind. You have to leave now! You can’t be late! Just do what you practiced and trust yourself! I know you’ll do great, good luck!” Madison hugged Louve before she left. It took about thir

“It’s my perfume. It’s a limited-edition scent. It’s kind off weird but I like this scent, a unique one. Just don’t keep going around and telling people about the scent. I don’t really want people to know the personal stuffs I use, especially my perfume.” Aleister smiled at her before exiting the room. Madison’s headache slowly fades so she decides to leave the room. She immediately approached the director. “Derick,” she said hesitantly. The director immediately turned his gaze and checked her. “Madison! You’re finally awake! Are you okay? Do you want to go to the hospital?” “No, I’m okay now. I’m sorry about earlier. What happened to the shoot?” “Don’t be sorry, it’s not like you intended it to happen. As for the filming, we rescheduled it tomorrow. I really want you to rest more but we also have to finish the shoot as soon as possible.” “No! Tomorrow is fine. I’m really sorry if I became a burden to everyone.” “It’s a good thing you know,” Amanda sa

The talk show filming was rescheduled later in the afternoon so Aleister decided to go to the gym in the morning. While he was lifting weights, Hunter approached him and gave him a bottle of water. Aleister stopped lifting weights and immediately drinks the water. “What’s up? Anything new about the great Aleister?” Hunter jokingly said before he drinks his own water. Aleister puts the bottle on the ground and started lifting weights again. “I met her.” “Met who?” Hunter drinks again after answering Aleister. “The werewolf alpha’s child.” Hunter was so shock that he spat out the water he was drinking. “You met the what?! Wait, how? When? Why? Who?” Hunter was in disbelief and panic while Aleister is just weighting lifts while talking to him. “She’s a doctor and apparently, she’s the guest doctor on the same talk show where I’m a celebrity guest

“What’s that suppose to mean?” Amanda asked trying to calm herself. “It’s up to your interpretation, I guess. I mean, you could only know what kind of doctor a doctor is when he or she is wearing the white coat. Just like how you can tell whether a singer is a good or bad performer only when he or she steps foot on the stage.” “Just like how you can determine an unprofessional host when she starts asking irrelevant questions,” said by Aleister who smirked before looking at Madison. After the filming ended, Amanda immediately walked away but the director blocked her way. Madison, Aleister and the other cast and staffs are worried that the director would get angry to Amanda. “Amanda, I don’t know what’s your issue with Madison but that was unprofessional. However, we might or might not edit that clip out.” The director smiled at her which pissed her off more. She walked out without sayi

Just make sure not to do it in the sink. Vomit in the toilet instead,” said by Louve who is busy cooking their breakfast. “Don’t lecture me. My head is about to crack,” Madison said as she drinks water. “Why did you drink so much? You know yourself that you can’t hold your liquor but you still got drank. Did you blackout? How did you come home last night?” “I wasn’t planning to drink but the staffs and casts were celebrating for me so, it was rude to just sit there and watch them get wasted.” “You have a duty later.” “I know! Ugh! My head is killing me!” “How did you come home?” “I don’t know. I don’t re

My mind was occupied by a lot of thoughts, I barely slept.” “I didn’t ask you last night because you look tired but one thing is for sure, something is wrong. What’s wrong?” “I had a fight with Aleister. It is our biggest fight ever since we started dating. Her father is still staying in the countryside, and she visits him from time to time. Madison is still a surgeon and is still the werewolf Luna. Meanwhile, Aleister is doing his job as the vampire leader and he started taking over his family’s business. Most importantly, Mallory is still unfound. “Code blue! Code blue!” yelled by a nurse inside the emergency room. Josh, who is now a resident, came and attended on a patient. “The vitals are unstable. It looks like he needs a bypass but doctor Kevin is not here. There’s no doctor available—” “I’ll do it. Doctor Kevin approached Madison and tapped her on the shoulders. “Madison, I think you should take some rest first. Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it.” Madison walked away and went to the lounge area. As soon as she closed the door, she leans on it and burst out crying. She walked to the sofa and cried. She felt helpless about the situation. Although, she understands their reaction but she can’t avoid feeling sad and discouraged. After few minutes, the door opened and Madison quickly wiped her tears. She looks up and saw the new CEO of the hospital. She stands up and greeted him.
