"Who’s he?" Ben asked, his confusion growing.

Diana gently stroked Kevin's head with a tender smile. "This is my second brother, Ben. If you live with me, you’ll see him often."

Kevin nodded.

Ben looked at the little boy, drawing a sharp breath. "Diana, who is he? Don't tell me he's also your secret child with John! He looks four or five years old!"

Ben's mind raced back four or five years... His sister was just a teenager then!

Ben turned to John, eyes blazing with anger.

“You...you monster!”

Diana sighed. “Ben, stop imagining things. I don’t have a child that old.”

“Then who is he?” Ben demanded.

Before Diana could respond, Kevin put his hands on his hips and declared, “I’m her friend!”

Ben was incredulous. “Friend? Little guy, you’re not even as tall as my leg. How could you be Diana’s friend?”

“You’ve never heard of a friendship that crosses generations?” Kevin said seriously. “That’s what we have!”
