Chapter Seven

My chest heaved while I scurried down the steps and to the women’s bathroom on the floor below us. He wouldn’t find me there, not that he’d come looking for me. I held my hand over my heart, feeling it race with each step.

I flew into the bathroom, setting both hands on the sink and stared into the mirror. My cheeks were flushed, and my eyes were wide, a sparkle twinkling in them that wasn’t typically there.

Did I just let my boss get me off? Put me on my hands and knees on his conference table and screw me from behind? Then escaped before he could come?

My legs twitched between my thighs, remember how perfect he felt inside of me. I closed my eyelids, willing myself not to reminisce about him taking advantage of me.

But he didn’t take advantage, I let him kiss me, I’d undone his pants, not him. Could he hold this against me? Surely not legally. I’d be the one who could file a complaint. I’d never do that though; I was just as guilty in the situation as he was. We’re both adults, and
