Chapter Fifteen

“Alright. I’ll come to your fantasy night, whatever that means.”

He nodded his head in appeasement, and I ignored the anxious twitch in my gut. I trusted him. Craft wouldn’t let me out of his sight. He was a man of his word. When plans didn’t go his way, he would be enraged and do everything in his power to redirect them. It was one of the qualities I admired about him.

“Let’s go,” he said smoothly, opening the door to a foyer. The inside was a marble flooring leading to an elevator, rich mahogany wood paneling covered the walls, a door on each side of the foyer with a number. It was an apartment building, and way more attractive on the inside than the outside. 

Craft lead me to the elevator, the ding loud when it came to us. The door slid open, and he tugged me inside. Mirrors surrounded us, an elegant chrome chandelier hung from the ceiling. Craft pushed a button for the top floor, and I held my breath.
