I dismiss Jake with a gesture of my eyes to keep watch outside. On top of having this psycho in my office, the last thing I need is to present a show for my staff.

“What are you doing here?” My tone hints at my obvious displeasure at having her.

“What? No ‘hi’? No ‘how are you’?”

My face remains neutral. “What is your deal with Chloe?”
