CHAPTER SEVENTY EIGHT

Anna's Pov

It was a very challenging moment for Jack and he had to talk to me privately.

After school one of the days, we were going home but he paused. "Can we get a place to talk?"

"Sure, you have something to share with me?"

"Yeah,"

We found a place and sat down to talk. I noticed the words were heavy in his mouth. " Jack, please relax and tell me anything. You know I will always help"

He was still finding it difficult to talk. I placed my hand around his shoulder.

"Jack, is it about your uncle and his wife?"

"Yes," He replied, also nodding his head. I noticed he was fighting back the tears in his eyes.

I noticed that while in school, he is happy but anytime it is time to go home, his mood will change.

"So what do you intend to do about it?"

"I wish to run away from that house. I am being treated like a slave in my father's house."

I really felt for him and promised to talk to my parents about it. I encouraged him to go back home so that we could see each other the next day.
