Richard Kings woke up to a call from the last person he thought would ever reach out to him, Lola. For an anti-social introvert, his excitement was over the limit and so was his anxiousness as he sat patiently in a private restaurant that he had booked specially for their meeting on his insistence. His girl arrived barely nine minutes later, looking every inch as beautiful and familiar as she had been from the very first time he laid his eyes on her on that stage in Rosewoods Theater, a perfect replica of her mother. "Hey." Lola greeted as he pulled out a seat for her. In her hands were a scarf, a nose mask, and sunglasses which she might have removed on her way in, reminding Richard of the reason why he had booked such a private place for their meeting in the first place."Hey," Richard responded with a gentle smile on his face."It was so quiet on my way in." Lola started, trying to strike up a conversation. "There was barely anyone around apart from a few staff. For a place this
Rose watched with squinted eyes as the vehicle drove away from the mansion and moved toward the main gate. She certainly heard those words well right? There was no way she could have heard wrongly. Lola, having her last name to be Coker could count as a coincidence but sporting that darned red hair and those wild hazel eyes was no coincidence at all! Lola was no doubt Maria Coker's child and she had welcomed her into her home with open arms!~Lola returned home with Tony from the Reigns Mansion with a smile on her face. Unlike before, when she was mistaken to be a common maid by the receptionists and the staff, her presence as Noah's woman now commanded an invisible amount of respect and the receptionists had no choice but to bow with envy as she passed by them, actually paying them no attention. Only one unanswered question replayed in their jealous minds each time they saw her walk past them. "How did a woman like Lola get so lucky to snag a widely "known to be cold" Noah Sanchez
In another part of the city, a frustrated Bianca Sanders tapped her heels against the cold floor in anger. Of all days to be left stranded by her annoying chauffeur, it just had to be today… They had stopped to pick up a birthday gift she had ordered for a friend along the way and the rest of her friends were all waiting for her to join them at the club for a party meant to be a surprise for the celebrant and now she would be the party pooper in the clique for showing up late. Just Perfect!."Miss Sanders. I'm so sorry. I serviced the car two days ago along with the other vehicles in the estate..." The driver apologized as he checked the engine once again, totally confused by why it was suddenly acting up when it had been in perfect condition earlier that morning."Are you an idiot?." Bianca bellowed in anger. "If you had serviced it like you claim to have done, why are we then stranded in the middle of the fucking main street just because it would not start up?!." Across the road, s
"You can take your time, It's the weekend and I have all day long to wait for you girls. Either you start talking now or you spend the whole day making this hard for the three of us, your choice."The silence lingered on and Lola heaved a heavy sigh. She saw no sense in just sitting idle and facing Aria without saying anything, so she chose to go first, attacking without bothering to mince words."Why did you send that video out to the media Aria?." Lola asked, her eyes staring straight into the eyes of the girl whom she had known to be her best friend for the longest time ever, but now, Lola questioned that friendship. She had been a fool for so long. She had swept every suspicious act of Aria beneath the rug for a peaceful friendship but that had only brought more harm than good to the both of them. Maria, who had only pretended to step away to make the girls talk, heard Lola's words loud and clear and frowned. Was Lola referring to the video that caused her identity to be exposed t
The night was long and what the next morning held for Charlotte was not something to look forward to.Come the next day, she would have to hand over the deed to the only property that gave the Sanders family name its value over to Luca Sergio. And allof that, to save the members of her family. It was that or nothing. Luca Sergio had stated clearly that he would not have it done in any other way except, of course, to sell her off to China and marry her daughter as his youngest wife. "Over my dead body," Charlotte swore irritatedly as she slowly drifted off to sleep in her uncomfortable position. The next morning, Luca's men were out before dawn. Charlotte was unbounded and thrown into a room with no windows so she would have no way for an escape attempt. On the simply laid bed in the room was a neat dress and some of the necessities that she might need. Charlotte took her time to prepare, stalling to get as much time as she could, but Luca Sergio was no patient man and even his genero
The two bodyguards were apprehended by the police in their attempt to escape and were arrested on sight. Andy, who had received his wife's message was driven by fear as he got out of his car from behind and ran ahead of the police and military vehicles who had arrived together with the police into the Sander's estate, searching everywhere for Ava. He ran past screaming maids and into many rooms but there was no trace of her."Andy?." A familiar voice called from behind and he turned to see Ava standing behind him with tears streaming down her beautiful face. He saw a patch of blood on her clothes and froze in place. Was she wounded? Andy thought. Shaking with fear, he held Ava by the hand and turned her around, examining her body for any possible injuries."I'm fine," Ava said to ease his worries but the tears on her face would not stop falling. "The blood isn't mine," she explainedHearing this, Andy let out a relieved sigh and stopped searching for wounds but the worry on his face he
Noah walked into the study room to find Maria standing by the open window and waiting for him with both arms crossed tightly against her chest. Just as he approached her, she asked him a question, "Why were you in a rush to get married?.."Noah sighed as he halted next to the older woman. The look on her face was relaxed and Noah could tell that even though she was no longer as angry as she had been before, Maria was serious with her questions...He could give an excuse about how much he cherished Lola and wanted to be with her, but he knew Maria was just like Lola. Both women were not the kind you could lie to as they would see through your lies.. so he told the truth. "My grandfather had requested that I get married urgently. It was either that or I got disowned. I wanted to stop that from happening.” Maria sighed. Just as she had expected, there was an ulterior motive behind it. But she was relieved that he at least knew how to be truthful with her. Had he mentioned anything like n
