CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE: AUSTIN

Before we left Athena's apartment, I considered stopping by my house to get more clothes for school when we arrived at the apartment complex rather than waiting until tomorrow.

By the time we got to the house, Shane was already asleep, so we put him to bed first. Then we both went into the sitting room, and since I didn't want to worry him if he woke up and didn't see me around, I decided it was best to tell him I was going home to get some things.

"Hey Leo, I'd like to go get some stuff from home, since I'm basically living here already," I explained.

"Do you want me to drop you off? It won't be a problem." Leo said as he removed his tie and collapsed on the couch looking exhausted, I couldn't make him drive me in his tired state; that would be selfish of me, even if he says it's okay.
