Aelfred

I woke up tangled in her arms, and I couldn't have been happier about it. She was everything I could wish for. She brightened my day and kept me warm at night.

When I opened my eyes, a letter landed on my lap. The council summoned me. The Elven Council was formed by seven elders who overlooked tradition and law. I took a deep breath. I expected them to be on my jugular at some point, but I never expected them not to pause and give me a truce.

I closed my eyes and replied to the letter, "I will be there in the morning." I was furious because I already knew what they wanted to bring to my attention, and I was sure they would have an issue with it.

Their fucking old ways were a pain in my ass. She was a princess; she was the ideal mate for me. Elven law observed that the fated mated bond was sacred, but elven tradition ob

Stormee AdalwulfMy heart was broken. He made promises and vows to me. We were going to communicate, consider each other, and put each other first... and he broke them within 24 hours of being back in his realm.Somehow, I feel cheated and betrayed, not because of the woman who now lives under my roof, a woman I have no idea who she is or what she is doing here in my home, but because he broke me and didn't even flinch. He ordered Cassian to arrange a guest room on the fourth floor to accommodate the woman who claimed to be the Queen, and then, without looking at me, he left. No, I am not upset about the woman. What hurts are his actions, his silence, and his disregard. I trusted him with my heart, and at the first turn, he broke it.I ran into our room and decided I needed somewhere else to stay. I have been living in this room for one

  • BREAKING STORM    Chapter 31 - I am Sorry

AelfredAs soon as I said the words, her shoulders slumped, and her body slumped back on the edge of the bed. Her gaze was down, and I could see her shoulders trembling with her silent sobs."Little Flower, please... it hurts me to see you like this," I knelt in front of her. She is my queen; she owns me, and seeing her like that devastates me to the core."Seeing me like what? Aelfred?" she lifted her eyebrows defiantly. She was upset, and I could see the thunder outside her window."Storm, please control your anger..." I sighed, and she looked at me with fire in her eyes and a hurricane of rage coursing through her entire being."What? Too afraid of the consequences? Of the devastation that I could bestow upon your precious castle? Maybe afraid that my storm could harm your new queen?" She stood up, and for the first time, I was a firsthand witness of her true elemental powers."No, I am afraid we can't talk when you are this

Stormee AdalwulfI didn't want to sleep with him. I couldn't share a bed with a man who would undermine me the way he did. I needed time, and my wolf was restless because Aelfred´s actions completely offended her.My heart was in pain. I was now breaking one of our promises; he sealed them with elven magic, and it was painful to break them. I cuddled in bed and wrapped my legs close to my chest. The following day, Yavanna woke me up with a broad smile. "My queen," She greeted me, and I sighed."I thought we were going to talk to each other on a first-name basis," I said, and she nodded."Alright, Stormee..." she sighed,"The castle has been upside down. Cassian kicked the woman out, and she was furious." Yavanna quickly informed me. "King Aelfred ordered the guards to stop her from approaching this place. She is being tagged as a non-welcome here." She sighed,"I heard the council will summon him; they are livid,"

AelfredVamir walked into my office. "Hey, how is everything going?" he slumped in a chair across from mine."Like shit..." I sighed."Care to explain. Things going like shit is a general statement." He joked, and I grunted. I was not in the mood for his jokes. I was about to lose my mate, and he was laughing about the situation."Storm didn't want to share a room with me tonight," I revealed, and he nodded,"But she didn't choose to go back home, right?" he lifted his eyebrows, and I nodded."She will get over it. She needs a bit of time for you to make some gesture," he pointed out, and I sighed."I kicked Kasula out," I said, and he lifted his eyebrows."Fucking Audon is going to blow a gasket. How come you are here and not dealing with his nonsense?" Vamir asked."Maybe because I am the fucking king, and I must start acting like that?" I lifted my eyebrows, and he nodded."About high time..." Vamir exclaimed,

Stormee AdalwulfYavanna swamped me with books on Elven law. She explained most of their traditions, and to be accurate, they were misogynist. I was appalled when I learned she was a certified lawyer working as a maid because the elven world didn't offer her the chance.I had so many things to discuss with Alefred, and I was ready to return to my room and into his arms. Deep down in my heart, I knew he didn't mean to offend me the way he did. He is used to different things, and I am sure he will never make such mistakes. We are learning to be together in a world that wants us apart, and communication and forgiveness are crucial to making it."Yavanna, I think I am done for today," I sighed, stretching my arms and neck. We had been studying for over six hours, and I thought it was time for her to take a break."Would you want me to prepare a bath for you?" she asked, and I shook my head."No, you are above those duties. AelfredI entered the room; her fragrance was there, and she was around. I couldn't hold my breath anymore. I called out to her, but she didn't answer. Suddenly, the door of her wardrobe room opened, and outside the confines of the dark room, my mate stepped out wearing a fucking traditional mating ritual robe. The glistening fabric cascaded over her soft curves, revealing everything to my eyes, but without being completely naked. Stormee AdalwulfDamn! Last night was intense, and I would not have it any other way. Despite our age difference, my mate had the stamina of a teenager, which benefited me.He woke up a bit earlier than me and surprised me with breakfast in bed. "Little Flower, I need to go to the office." he sighed and I nodded,"Do you need to leave now? Or can you wait for me?" I bit my lower lip, and his eyes shone with excitement."I can wait for you," he smirked while I suspiciously squinted my eyes. What once was an orderly place is now a war zone. Paper was scattered around, reports upon reports, her laptop was on the floor, and spreadsheets were open. "What is going on?" Stormee AdalwulfThe following day, I welcomed Petra and Eirula into my office. My main objective of this meeting is to get to know them better and become friends, and from there, we can start addressing the pressing matters of the realm. It will take time to become best friends, but we need to build trust for this to work. Al had the advantage that Myriad and Blass were old acquaintances, and he knew them before their appointments.Sary walked into my office, followed by two stunning women dressed in traditional attire. The first one had white hair and silver eyes. She had fair skin and a bright smile. Her features were characteristic of elves: a delicate nose, big eyes, and pointy ears. She was a beauty, and you could see enormous kindness when you looked into her eyes.I smiled at her, and she softly bowed. "My queen," she said,"This is Eirula, Blass's mate and the Social Affairs Leader," Sary explained, and I nodded."Welcome aboard. Ju

Stormee AdalwulfI had Sary help me review every candidate, and we made a pile of files, each position with the nays, maybes, and a yes. I knocked on Al's door and walked in. He and Vamir discussed each leading position's task and the possible profile we must search for."Al, I wanted to hand you the screened candidates for the two positions we must fill. They are separated by gender because I need my Female Delta and Gamma." I informed him."Do you need my input for the female positions?" he asked, and I nodded. We were working together, and it was so rewarding knowing that my mate trusted me with serious matters of the kingdom."Yeah, but after the first interview. We must see them personally and see if we are a match. These positions require a lot of trust, and we need to find someone with whom we could quickly build a bond

  • BREAKING STORM    Chapter 39 - Building a Team

AelfredAfter a splendid night with my mate, I felt better about the situation. I was not pleased about being at fault for not seeing things as she did. She was determined to find out what was happening and who was the perpetrator. Our realm depends on it; it is a large part of the income the royal family provides to improve everyone's lives. She gave me some food for thought. We elves are proud creatures; somehow, my father's lack of teaching and the way I was taught to rule made me feel I didn't need anyone else to help me. I believed myself to be infallible and that only Vamir's help was needed, but in reality, she suggests that we even have what they call a Gamma, a Delta, or an extra Beta. She believes that we need so much more. Now that I see the bigger picture, she is right: I need help. I can't be everywhere, training our militia

Stormee AdalwulfWe worked for several hours, four minds trying to get everything together. Sales were not dropping, as Al suspected. The purchases and inventory indicated a healthy product rotation. That only meant someone was draining the company, making sales, not reporting them, stealing money, and covering their tracks. We needed to conduct a swift but complete audit. Vamir suddenly stretched. "I am starving. Should I get something to eat? Or are we resuming tomorrow?" He asked, and I looked at the time—it was close to eleven at night."I think we should resume tomorrow..." I sighed, rubbing my neck while Al began tenderly massaging it."Sarula, can you be ready tomorrow to leave as soon as we figure out a plan to audit the company? I need to see the installations, and we need a couple of extra hands to help us take account and secure a proper inventory." I sighed, and she nodded."Would we be leaving in the morning or the afternoon? I h
