Chapter 25. Shift

The twilight brought a different atmosphere than usual. A bright sun, hiding behind a gray cloud, peeked out shyly. Its warmth embraces the soul tightly, and its beauty is a feast for everyone's eyes. It's a moment that can never be had at any other time.

Being on a high plateau like Wolfsbane Hill allowed them to enjoy the beautiful sunset in the western sky. While the other members were gathering and chatting, Ryn sat pensively, looking at the sun as it was about to set.

"What a beautiful sight, isn't it?" A voice made Ryn turn her head. The girl saw Lance standing behind her with a gentle smile. "Won't you invite me to join you in enjoying it?" Lance continued as he sat down beside her.

"You can do it without me having to ask you," Ryn replied.

The girl gazed back at the twilight on the western skyline, bent her knees, hugged them with her arms, and laid her chin on them.
