The fear that filled Albert's mind made the monitor connected to him sound loud.

"Wow, wow, wow! Easy, Man!" said Mike.

The doctor immediately checked Albert's vital organ detection monitor. He noticed a significant increase in activity from the Alpha's heart. It was a sudden increase, and it was feared that it would be detrimental to the body's owner.

"Ryn. Where is she?" Albert tugged on Mike's arm, unconcerned by the sound of the monitor roaring beside the gurney.

Mike turned his head and saw a kind of fear in Albert's eyes. Mike suspected that that fear caused the increase in Albert's heart activity. Glancing at the monitor screen, the doctor then said, "I need you to calm down."

"Answer me, Doctor! Where is he?" urged Albert while tugging on Mike's collar.

The Alpha thought that Mike didn't answer his question right away because something terrible had happened to Ryn.

Mike patted Albert's hand as he said, "Calm down, Alpha Albert! Or you'll be in severe condition."

"True love's kiss." One corner of Mike's lips lifted, along with one eyebrow. "Good luck, Alpha Albert!" he said as he patted Albert's shoulder twice, before walking away.Albert was stunned. He did not respond to the doctor's words and gesture. The Alpha's eyes were fixed on the girl lying pale-faced before him. Inwardly Albert whispered, "Will the kiss work?""No! It's ridiculous! It's just a fairy tale, it won't work in reality." Albert monologued while shaking his head softly and smiling wryly.Instead of doing what Mike said, Albert chose to hold Ryn's hand with no intention of letting go. And speaking of kisses, Albert was reminded of his dream. The fear trembelled his heart. Then he thought, if he did what Mike said, would it make him lose Ryn forever? Was this what the prophecy meant? He would die if Ryn died. Is that how the Bloodwolf mate bond worked?"Sir, what are you doing?" joked a nurse who had just entered the room when she saw Albert leaving his gurney. The Alpha half

Call it magic or miracle. The reality was that Ryn woke up after Albert kissed her with love and sincerity. "Gosh! I swear I love you." Albert held Ryn tightly. There was no greater joy than seeing her open her eyes. Albert released her embrace and kissed her lips. "It worked. The kiss worked," the Alpha said as he cupped the girl's face. In a state of consciousness that had not fully recovered, Ryn tried to digest the Alpha's words. The girl scrunched up her face, unable to decipher Albert's last sentence. "Kiss? What kiss are you talking about?" the girl asked. Albert smiled. Indeed, no one had ever seen an expression like the one on his face right now. People who knew Albert would say that he was not the Alpha. The notoriously cold and cruel pack leader was now transformed into a man with eyes that radiated the light of love. He was enthusiastic about the miracle he had experienced. People would ask, is that Albert the Alpha of the Golden Moon Pack

"What the hell is going on here?"A voice interrupted the severe conversation between Albert and Ryn. They turned their heads, passing their eyes in the direction from which the sound came. Mike was walking hurriedly towards them."Oh my Gosh! Miss Ryn!" exclaimed Mike. The man swung his legs faster with a strained look on his face. "Why didn't you call me if Miss Ryn was awake? Move! Give me some space!" Mike said in a slightly high tone, asking Albert to step aside so he could check on the girl's condition."Your bullshit worked," Albert said, unconcerned by Mike, who looked slightly annoyed at him."What?" The Alpha's words made Mike, who had a stethoscope in his ear, turn to him. "What did you say?" he repeated."I kissed her, and it worked. She woke up," Albert said.Mike's hands hung in the air. Albert's words stunned him, but a moment later, the man laughed."Your jokes aren't hilarious, Alpha Albert! I'm glad Miss Ryn is final

Ryn's condition recovered quickly. One day after leaving the intensive care unit, the girl felt that her condition had returned to normal. However, as long as Mike didn't confirm the results of his observations, Ryn wouldn't be able to leave the hospital. And that made boredom overwhelmed Ryn."I'm so bored. I wanna get out of here," said Ryn, who was tired of being kept indoors with an IV needle stuck in the back of her hand."No! You will only get off that bed after Mike says you can leave this hospital," Albert said firmly.Ryn relaxed her shoulders with a frown on her face."But I am so bored. It feels like every joint and muscle in my body is like a robot. It's so stiff," Ryn complained. A moment later, the girl looked at Albert with narrowed eyes. "Or do you want to do something to cheer me up? Maybe you can do something silly that will make me laugh," she suggested."What?" Albert's face scrunched up. He then shook his head as he said, "No!

Although they had expected it from the beginning, Judith's answer still surprised Albert and Ryn. It was a little hard to believe, but they had actually experienced it. The dream and the reality were intertwined."That's impossible," Ryn muttered."But you said it. From what you said, that place hasn't changed since the last time I came there. It probably won't even change," Judith said with one eyebrow raised."Are you sure?" Albert was still wondering.Judith turned to the man with a faint smile."Do we need to sketch it to be sure? I know a good sketch artist," she said. "Listen! My visit to that place was a long time ago, but I still remember it very clearly. Tell me that you can see the fish dancing at the bottom of the waterfall estuary. It's very pretty. The water is very clear and cold. You can even see your reflection very clearly on the water's surface," he continued. How did Judith know about that detail? That question had crossed Albert's mind. But when he remembered who s

In a few seconds, Albert and Drake's eyes met in a straight line. Eye on eye. Very serious male business. Albert wanted to use this opportunity to have a serious talk with Drake after the previous occasion had lost the moment."You look very tense, Alpha Albert. It seems like what you want to talk about is a very serious matter," Drake said, trying to lower the pressure in the atmosphere.Albert smiled slightly."I'm not one to talk nonsense just to pass the time, Mr. Harmon. Especially with someone I only know on a piece of paper," Albert said, emphasizing his last sentence.Although their tone was low and smiles were always on their faces, the tension between them was still very strong. Judith realized this. From Albert's gestures and manner of speaking, the two men had very serious business to discuss."Gentlemen," Judith interrupted. The atmosphere in the room was already starting to feel uncomfortable, and Judith felt the need to address it immediately. "It's getting a little hot

At midnight, when most people were deep in dreams, Ryn was awake alone. The ticking of the clock became her companion, breaking the silence. The girl rubbed her arms. The cold air from the air conditioner suddenly made her shiver, unlike the usual night. For a moment, her attention was drawn to the two men sleeping on the couch. Albert and Lance had not left her side at all. Neither of them would budge. So, in the end, Ryn let them both stay there. Ryn let out a long sigh. "Why is it so hard to see you two get along? It would be great if you were on the same server. Working together to lead the Golden Moon Pack," she wished. Since the beginning, Albert and Lance had been like water and oil. The two of them were always involved in tensions, and it was very difficult for them to get along. She could use the emulator to emulsify the water and oil. Ryn hoped to bring them together. "It's cold in here." The cold interrupted again. "Aren't they cold? Ah, how could I forget? They are were

Silence. Almost nothing was heard except for the subtle roar of the car engine and the occasional honking of other vehicles. Even Jayden dared not make a sound, even if it was just clearing his throat to relieve his itchy throat. The four-person car drove in silence. In the front cabin, Jayden was driving, and Ryn was sitting next to him. In the back cabin, Albert and Lance sat next to each other but far apart. Ryn organized it all.It didn't just happen. It was challenging to get Albert and Lance to sit next to each other in the same car with the same destination. This was because Ryn had forced them to be together. They did not immediately fulfill her request at the hospital. Ryn still had to argue with Albert and Lance until an agreement was reached. Each of them proposed a condition that basically had the same thing in common, which was not to interfere in each other's affairs even though they would be living in the same place."Isn't it adorable that the two of them are so quiet

Excitement swelled in the palace, welcoming the victory they had won. Applause and cheers flowed beautifully as the Alpha entered the court. Everyone was happy. Everyone celebrated the victory, though they also felt the loss of several pack members killed in battle. "Albert," said a voice over the din of the crowd. Judith broke the line of pack members and walked quickly to the Alpha. A worried look crossed her face when she saw Ryn unconscious in Albert's arms. "She's hurt," she commented once she reached Albert. Judith examined some of the wounds on the girl's face. "Bad enough to knock her out," Albert said. "Doctor Mike is still busy taking care of the injured pack members, and I see he's got a lot of injuries himself. I think I can help check on Luna Ryn while we wait for Doctor Mike," Judith said. "I'll take her to the room," Albert replied. Judith nodded and followed Albert, who took Ryn to the room. The Alpha laid Ryn on the bed carefully, not caring about the blood and

Clothes, claws, hands, and face were all covered in a thick red liquid. The stench of blood pierced the lungs. Corpses were strewn about like thousands of dead fish washed up on the shore. Sorrowful moans could be heard faintly from the souls separated from the bodies. Proof that the battle had taken many lives."Albert, watch out!"Hearing the warning cry, Albert turned his head. The Alpha looked at his worried-looking Luna. Ryn pointed at the oncoming enemy. Albert was not unaware that three Alphas were heading his way. He knew, but there was not the slightest intention to run. Albert nodded to Ryn and then looked back at the three Alphas approaching him. The Alpha's howls echoed in all directions, preparing to fight the three attacking Alphas.Undaunted, Albert welcomed the attacks from the three Alphas with open arms. Unarmed, relying solely on his physical strength. It was a very unfavorable condition, but it did not discourage him. Fighting one-on-one would be easy for him. Howe

One corner of Albert's lips lifted slowly. Ryn's burning enthusiasm also fueled his fire. He did not see the slightest fear in Ryn's eyes, which was very different from when the girl had her visions."I'm so lucky to have a Luna like you," Albert said proudly. The man then extended a hand, and Ryn took it. "Let's do this together," he continued.Hand in hand, Albert and Ryn exited the palace, striding wide to greet the oncoming enemy."I love seeing our Alpha and Luna," Dominic whispered to Jayden."They're the best Alpha and Luna pair I've ever met," Jayden replied."Yep! Totally agree!" Dominic snapped his fingers."The Moon Goddess never gets mates wrong," Jayden chimed in. "Let's not let our Alpha and Luna fight the enemy alone," Jayden invited.Dominic eagerly welcomed the invitation. The two men immediately set off, following Albert and Ryn, who had left earlier. When they arrived at the courtyard, Albert saw that his men were on standby. They set up barricades outside and insid

Hurried footsteps could be heard approaching. Albert and Jayden turned in the direction of the sound. One of the Warriors came to them with a serious look."Dom," Jayden greeted. "How are things outside?" Jayden asked. He knew the warrior hadn't come for mere pleasantries; he must have gotten a message from Sebastian. The man named Dominic stopped before the Alpha, saluted with a nod of his head, and then answered Jayden's question, "There's a lot of them. We need help to keep them from entering the palace grounds."The famous Golden Moon Pack warriors, as well as Sebastian, had already taken matters into their own hands to deal with the enemy. However, in reality, the number of opponents they had to face was beyond prediction. There were hundreds of werewolves moving against the Golden Moon Pack as if they had been prepared for the attack.A warrior facing ten people at once would be fine. However, they could remember the fact that there were Alphas also coming down to attack, who ha

Confession and atonement are the most beautiful things about ending a feud. Forgiving and accepting each other is another way to let go of the burdens that have been piling up in our minds.Albert has not fully accepted fate because, until this moment, he still cannot accept Lance as his younger brother. However, by taking into account the fact that Judith was his mother, he felt that his chest was much lighter. There was a sense of relief, like a heavy burden that had been lifted."What made you smile to yourself, hm?" asked Ryn.The girl had been watching Albert for some time now. The Alpha, who was sitting on the balcony, seemed to be daydreaming while occasionally smiling faintly.Ryn's question forced Albert out of his reverie. The Alpha blinks his eyes quickly while looking back at the girl."What are you doing there?" Albert asked.Ryn walked up to the Alpha. A small smile spread across the girl's lips as she felt the aura of happiness radiating from the Alpha's face. Behind Al

The three people sitting at the same table looked at each other. Ryn's answer seemed to confirm that the terrible incident happened in the Golden Moon Pack. As pack leader, Albert's mind immediately went to the incident during the coronation ceremony, where several of his guests had collapsed."I believe all of this is connected," Albert said."That's very possible, considering Ryn has experienced this before, and it's proven true," Judith said.Albert gritted his teeth. His hands were clenched tightly with emotion. If Ryn's vision were true, a great battle would be in his palace. Perhaps this was a sign the Moon Goddess had given them. So that Albert could prepare everything."Do you know when it will happen?" Albert asked Ryn.The girl shook her head. She could not find any clues about the exact time of the battle."I'm sorry," Ryn said regretfully."Not your fault," Albert replied. He turned to Judith and said, "Thank you for coming here.""No need to thank me. I didn't do anything

This emergency forced Albert to summon Judith to the palace. He believed that Judith was the one who knew the most about Ryn's visions."Don't worry! No matter how bad it is, we'll face it together." Albert kissed Ryn's forehead. The girl was still scared, even though Albert often assured her they would face any problem together. Ryn didn't want Albert to leave her side, even for a second. There was a knock on the door, and Albert was forced to let go of his girlfriend's embrace. He went to open the door."Mrs. Morrow is here, Alpha Albert," said a man, one of Albert's wolves."I'll see her soon," replied the Alpha.Albert quickly returned and told Ryn that the person they were waiting for had arrived. They hurriedly went to meet the waiting Judith."Judith!" Ryn half-ran over to the forty-year-old woman sitting on the sofa."Ryn," Judith replied. The woman stood up and greeted Ryn, who immediately hugged her tightly."What happened?" Ryn gently caressed Albert's face. She gave the Alpha a warm smile, creating a sense of comfort in her lover."I have nothing to comfort you with but love," Ryn said.Albert's hazel irises scanned the beautiful face intently. The man let Ryn's soft fingers surf over whatever the girl wanted. No words, just a look with his eyes as permission."The responsibility that lies on your shoulders is heavy. I know that." Ryn lowered her touch from Albert's face to the man's shoulders. She briefly stroked it and rested her palm on the Alpha's chest. His face lifted slowly, meeting her gaze in a straight line. "Put all that fatigue behind you for a moment. Give your body and brain a chance to rest for a moment. I'm here, Albert. I'll do whatever it takes to ease the burden weighing you down," she continued as she nuzzled the Alpha's chest. Those delicate fingers gave her a soft, lulling touch. Albert's self-investigation did not go as expected. The scouts he ordered to search for information were, in fact, unsuccessful in providing the name of someone who posed a threat."I'm sorry, Alpha Albert." Jayden looked down in shame for not succeeding in giving maximum results for the task assigned to him.Albert took a deep breath. He would not blame Jayden for this unsatisfactory result. Apparently, the opponent this time was quite clever and cunning. Even from the CCTV camera footage, nothing suspicious was found."It's not your fault. No need to apologise," Albert said."What about the lab test results of the food and drinks?" asked Jayden."Nothing. There are no indications of poison in the food and drinks we provide," Albert replied. "However, the blood sample was positive for botulinum. Neurotoxin," he continued."Neurotoxin?" Jayden confirmed."That's right. Mike said it usually takes effect about 12 hours after exposure. Doesn't that mean they were exposed to the poison ou
