“I can’t stop the shift..” Freya groaned. “You have to run, I might hurt you.”

He took her face in his hand and she was too weak to shove him off.

“Hurt me?” He asked. “You have nothing to worry about. I’m not exactly defenceless.”

She shook her head as fur grew along her arms.

“You don’t understand.” She groaned. She was losing control. She looked to the skies to find all five moons were nearly a full globe. Tonight wasn’t a full moon but it was close enough that her subconscious was being overpowered by her wolf. If it was anything like the full moon, she wouldn’t even remember anything once she relinquished control to Venna. The thought of her on an uncontrolled rampage this close to a male she mistook for her mate was enough to tie her into knots.
