After a while, she took her hand off of Matthew’s mouth.
“Who are you?” Matthew asked her.
The girl was surprised and went into a panic. She was saying something that Matthew did not understand. It sounded like a different language.
Matthew observed her person. Her skin was tanned and she had black hair. There was a crown of flowers on top of her head. Her clothing was simple and made from animal skin. Perhaps a local? She seemed to be around Matthew’s age as well.
Just then he had an idea. He placed his hand on his chest and said his name. “Matthew.”
