As soon as Hayley was escorted away by the officers to the waiting van, Emily hurried inside the house after wiping away her tears and after the other women departed. Her heart raced as she paced the living room, grappling with what to do next. A flurry of questions clouded her mind, yet she found no solution to the conflicting situation. She was new to the city and didn't know anyone who could be of help, well, except Leonardo.
