Rejection

Alison was still imagining the things she would do to Adrian when he abruptly turned toward her and met her lust-dazed orbs, catching her off-guard. Surprise flickered across his face as he realized he wasn't mistaken, the lady had been unabashedly ogling him. In as much as he found it flattering and thrilling that a beautiful lady like her was so captivated by him, Adrian couldn't ignore the pang of guilt and betrayal in his heart. He thought of Hayley and what this would mean in their non-existent relationship. He couldn't do that to her. This might be a test of his love for her after all.

"So, tell me more about yourself, Mr. Lewis." Alison started, returning her gaze to match his again.
