Futile Efforts

Leonardo was seated in his office, his eyes fixed on the device in his hand in disbelief as he read the text message, one of his trusted aid had sent to him that morning while he waited for Hayley to arrive.

Leonardo read the message for the 100th time, still in disbelief that one of his trusted employees and friends was being accused of stealing from him. Leonardo couldn't believe it. How dare he?
