Just like Hayley had planned that beautiful Saturday morning, Clara had also decided to have a special mother-daughter bonding time with Luna as well. Clara realized it had been a while since she hung out with her precious daughter without the involvement of others, like Hayley and her daughter. And theirs just happened to also be a movie day, complete with ice cream and cookies. But the only difference was that, just an hour into their perfect movie date, it was disrupted when they heard a knock on their front door.Clara furrowed her brow, straining her ears to identify the sound. At first, she hesitated to answer, not wanting to abandon her daughter for whoever it was outside. She wasn't expecting anyone that day, so she could ignore it if she wanted to.Clara had no friends that visited her aside from Hayley. After what happened with her old best friend, Katherine, she decided to distance herself from having female friends. She thought having Hayley as her only friend was enough,
Clara shot at him, her anger rising. "What? No. No. I'm here as your friend. Hayley doesn't even know I'm here. She's currently not speaking to me. I think I might have done something that greatly annoyed her. I think I might have ruined it all..." Clara scoffed incredulously. "Oh really? Well, you should have thought of that before getting your 6-year-old a freaking car as her birthday gift. Didn't you know that was the last piece to my puzzle that enabled me to uncover the truth?""Oh... regardless, I'm sorry, Clara. You're and you've been nothing but a good friend, and I don't want to lose that friendship because of what happened. Will you forgive me? What can I do to make it up to you?"Clara scoffed, shaking her head as she recalled Hayley had also asked her the same question. "Like husband, like wife indeed." She bit out.Leonardo furrowed his brows, not understanding what she meant by that. But Clara didn't explain, instead, she shrugged carelessly, adding. "Like I told Nina
Clara was left speechless as she didn't know how to react to what he had just told her. She and Leonardo locked eyes for a brief moment. "I guess I'll see you around, Clara," Leonardo said after a while, breaking the stifling silence that had descended upon them after he revealed his intentions to her. Grinning, he added. "And please, I hope you would heed my pleas. Give her a second chance. We all deserve it." He winked.Clara said nothing, instead her eyes only stared coldly at Leonardo as he retracted and made his way back to his black posh car, parked by the curb, on the other side of the road. With one last glance and wave from him to her, Leonardo hopped into his car and revved the engine onto the road. Soon, he had driven out of sight. Clara stood frozen, gazing in a faraway look as she processed all Leonardo had told her earlier. Path to redemption? Everything began to dawn on her.Leonardo's visit made Clara realize he had never been in love with her in the first place. She
"You sent for me..." Hayley stated, drawing Adrian's attention as she stepped into his office in elegant strides, after gently closing the door behind her.Adrian whose gaze had been fixed on the computer screen in front of him, lifted his head upon hearing hearing her. A genuine smile spread across his face. "Nina..." He drawled, reclining in his seat as he watched Hayley approach his desk.Hayley greeted him. "Hi. Good morning." "Morning, baby. How are you?" Adrian asked warmly. "I'm fine. Thank you," Hayley replied, her eyes fixed on his expectantly, waiting for him to continue the conversation. But he remained quiet. After a moment, Hayley spoke up. "Yes, Adrian? I mean, yes sir? May I know why you sent for me?" She asked, standing before his desk.Still mesmerized by her presence, Adrian confessed sincerely. "You look stunning, Nina. You just keep looking more beautiful with each passing day. What's your secret? Hmm?"Hayley chuckled incredulously, her heart melting at his co
Leonardo was seated in his office, his eyes fixed on the device in his hand in disbelief as he read the text message, one of his trusted aid had sent to him that morning while he waited for Hayley to arrive.'He stole from you, boss. How do we handle him?'Leonardo read the message for the 100th time, still in disbelief that one of his trusted employees and friends was being accused of stealing from him. Leonardo couldn't believe it. How dare he?Settling the phone in his hand more, his finger hovered around the keyboard hesitantly as he contemplated a response message. He felt betrayed.Eventually, he typed back to Bob. 'What do you mean he stole from me? Paolo is well aware of the consequences of committing such acts!'He sent the message, his face already contorting with annoyance. It didn't take long before his phone beeped again, signaling it was another message notification. Leonardo opened the message. It was Bob's instant reply to his question.'I don't know, boss. Why don't
Hayley was completely engrossed in her portrait painting when she overheard the gossip of two of her colleagues. She pretended she was still solely focused on her work, but she couldn't help but listen to their conversation.MJ, One of her colleagues, said to the other, Mitchell in hushed tones. "I'm telling you, It's Davina, I'm sure. I saw her going into the new executive's office. I can place a hundred dollars that they will hook up in there. She will seduce him. That's her niche. He's an executive and her kind of man after all."Hayley stiffened, her eyes growing wide and her heart thudding rapidly against her chest as she processed their words. What!!?Hayley heard Mitchell, chiming in, only fueling Hayley's disbelief. "You don't need to bet on it, MJ. I believe and I'm certain too. I mean, who could resist that hot, ass fine lady. If I were a man, I'd fall for her seduction too. Well, unless Executive Damian is gay, of course." She said and they chuckled in amusement. But their
"Urgh… L-Leo… Arghh, I love it. Fuck me harderrr.. Argh.. B-babyy," Lilian moaned loudly with her eyes rolling into her head, and her slender fingers digging into Leo's hard back as he thrust into her repeatedly. She stood before them, speechless. * If someone had asked Hayley Forbes before now who she loved most in the world, She'd say her husband. And if someone else had asked her who she trusted most in the world, She'd say her husband. Yeah.. It's like that. But something she should have had in mind a long time ago was that, men are deceitful and we can never trust them. But how could she believe in that saying, when Leonardo Anderson was literally the kind of man she had prayed for. He was handsome, caring, loving, well-mannered, kind-hearted, and even on top all of these, he was a multi-billionaire, and the CEO of the second biggest company in Clasold City. He was every woman's dream, and she was his only wife. Hayley wouldn't say she married him for money. She was forced to
"It's been two weeks, Hayley. You need to stop crying over him. He is not worth a single tear that falls from your eyes." Emily, Hayley's best friend consoled her. Emily sat down beside Hayley on the couch, gently patting her shoulder as Hayley lay still with tears streaming down her face. She was tired of everything. The anguish was too much to bear all at once. It had been two weeks since Leo and her divorced, yet she still couldn't get over him. Hayley had gone to her family to seek their help to help her plead with Leonardo, but instead of supporting her, they abused her and kicked her out. Hayley knew they never truly cared for her or considered her as family, especially her foster mother, Wendy Forbes. She despised Hayley so much that Hayley often wondered why she even adopted her in the first place. Hayley was aware that she had no place in that home, but she never imagined that in her time of need, they would turn their backs on her and leave her helpless. They made it clear
