Naya’s P.O.V

I received a heavy slap from Greta. She slapped me because I was trying to escape. I was in pains, but there was nothing I could do to fight back.

I was surrounded by people who wanted to harm me. I was frightened and I needed peace to relax my nerves.

“Please, Greta I want to be left alone,” I said in pain. The men still held me firmly and they refused to let go.

“Shut up, Naya. I’m not letting you go. You just tried to escape and here you are telling me that you want to be left alone. I’m not gonna grant your request,” she said. She was extremely angry. “Talon humiliated me, and for that single act of his, you’ll stay locked up till I decide to free you.” She pointed to the men.

“Take her away.”

The men took me back to the uncompleted building where I was tied once again. I sat on the floor for hours, praying for a miracle to come. And it did. So I thought.

The men who were working for Greta roughly pulled me up from the floor. I wasn’t blindfolded so I was aware of e

Nelson’s P.O.VI was disappointed at my dad for not letting me know that he and my mum were divorced. The fact that I had been a fool all the while angered me. With anger, I stormed into Talon’s room in the hospital. I didn’t bother to knock or ask for permission from him. I needed to let him know about what I had just found out. I narrated everything I had overheard our parents saying to Talon. I thought he was going to be as angry as I was when I eavesdropped on the conversation, but he wasn’t. Even though he was shocked, he acted cool, like he knew about it all along.“We had a peaceful home when mum wasn’t around. We didn’t have to worry or argue about a lot of things. The house was peaceful without her,” Talon said.“Are you being serious?”“Yes, Nelson. I know what I’m talking about. I was still a bit sensitive when she left.”I was restless, and angry at the fact that I was the only one who was totally clueless about everything. I needed to know more about the relationship wi

Talon’s P.O.V I did as the kidnappers said. I already had the cash ready in a bag. In the middle of the night, I sneaked out of the house. I didn’t inform anyone that I was going to rescue Naya. I went to the place the kidnappers had told me to go to. But this time I came prepared. When I got to the scene, there was no sight of anyone around. I began to receive calls from my dad. He didn’t stop calling. He wanted to ensure that I picked my calls, so he didn’t give up on calling me. I ignored all the calls that I received from my dad. My mission was to get Naya back in one piece. I waited for almost an hour for the men to arrive with Naya, but no one came out. I began to wonder if they were blaming games with me. Why weren’t they out to make an exchange of the money with Naya’s freedom? Wasn’t that what we had agreed upon? While I was still trying to figure out what to do, I sighted Naya and two hefty men from afar. I was so excited to see Naya. I guess she missed me as m

Talon’s P.O.VNaya was badly bruised. I realized that after a doctor took care of her wounds. I was angry at myself for not getting there on time to help her. If I had been able to get her from the kidnappers earlier on, she wouldn’t have gotten so much injury. I was sulking when I received a phone call. I confirmed the caller to be the same unknown number of the kidnappers. I moved to a secluded area in the hospital and answered the phone call. I didn’t want to disturb Naya. She was unconscious.“Hello,” the kidnapper said. He seemed to be the head of the others. He was the one who always called. “Hello,” I said. “How could you kill my men?” he said in a high tone. He was angry.“I didn’t mean to kill your men. They tried to break our deal. We had a deal to exchange the money with Naya’s freedom, but they did otherwise. You even promised to return my wife to me untouched, but yet I found countless injuries on her skin.”“Is that enough reason to kill my men?”“I had no other choi

Kael’s P.O.VI sat in my apartment and stared at the empty walls while trying to come up with a strategy to win back Naya, the love of my life. I had been racking my brain for the past three weeks to come up with the ideal scheme to win her back. I knew it was time to make things right because I had done things wrong in the past. I took my car keys and stepped outside of my apartment. I was feeling affected by the night light because I had been cooped up inside for so long. I needed to leave and get some fresh air. I took a cab to a bar in the hopes of getting some ideas.I noticed a few businessmen as I entered the bar and realized that was my chance to put my plan into action. I walked up to the group of businessmen at the bar, smiling charmingly and projecting a sense of assurance."Good evening, gentlemen," I said, extending my hand. "My name is Kael. Mind if I join you?" The men looked up at me, sizing me up for a moment before one of them spoke up. "Sure, pull up a chair." I

Talon’s P.O.VI woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing uncontrollably on the bedside table. I rubbed my eyes and reached out for it, still half-asleep. When I looked at the screen, I saw that I had several missed calls and messages from friends and family. Confused, I clicked on one of the messages and my heart dropped. There was a post on social media from Greta, announcing that we were engaged and that I had divorced Naya, my wife. The post had been online since midnight and it was too late for me to take it down.I immediately grabbed my phone and dialed Greta's number, my fingers trembling with anger as I waited for her to pick up. "What the hell is wrong with you? How could you post something like that online?" I yelled into the phone as soon as she answered.Greta didn't seem fazed by my outburst. "I did what I had to do, Talon," she replied coolly. "You left me no choice. You know what I have on you."I tightened my grip on my phone. "I don't care what you have on me. That

Naya’s P.O.V Talon gave me a stern look. I was sitting on the bed. I knew that all I had to expect was the worse. “How could you do this, Naya? Why did you have to make this room a mess?” he yelled.“Don’t ask me such questions,” I said plainly. I could sense his anger, but I didn’t care about how he was feeling.“Can you even listen to yourself? You made the room a mess and when I asked why you did it, all you can say is that I shouldn’t ask such questions. What is your problem? Tell me!” he barked.“Do not shout at me, Talon. I’m not the main reason for your anger. Sort out whatever is bothering you and leave me out of the mess you created with your own hands,” I fired back.“There’s no greater mess than the one you’ve created in this room. And, to think it has anything to do with me is really out of point. You’ve made a mess here. I didn’t expect this from you!” he yelled.I looked up at him, anger etched on my face. Talon’s P.O.VI burst into Greta's apartment with a sense of urgency. I knew I had to act fast to find any evidence that would link Greta to Naya's disappearance. With one swift kick, the door broke open, revealing an empty apartment. I searched every corner, every drawer, and every closet, but there was no sign of Greta. However, I did notice something peculiar - a collection of Naya's jewelry in Greta's cupboard. It was then that I realized that Greta and Naya were working together. I always believed that there was something about Naya's disappearance. I returned home, my mind racing with thoughts of Naya and Greta's involvement in her kidnap. How could Naya do something like that? She went too far. I didn’t expect her to be involved in any crime. I thought she was a better woman than any other woman that I had met, but she was no different from there. I was prepared to ask Nay about the jewelry I found in Greta’s house. I had given them the evidence to prove their evil deeds, but they had denied it. The police didn't want to listen to me. They wanted more concrete evidence, and that was something that I could not provide them. I had given them everything I could gather about Greta and her criminal brother. I picked up my phone and that's when I called Naya. She was the best person to blow their cover. After all, she was the one who was kidnapped. They wouldn’t be able to find their way around if she were to be present. She agreed to come to the police station and confess what had happened. I felt happy and relieved. Naya was feeling better after a good night's sleep, but she was still nervous about what was to come.As we drove to the courthouse, I could feel the tension in the air. Naya was clutching my hand tightly, her eyes darting around nervously. I tried to reassure her as best I could, telling her that everything was going to be okay. When we arrived at the courthouse, we were ushered into a small room where we waited for the hearing to begin. The minutes ticked by slowly, and I could feel Naya getting more and more anxious. Finally, the judge entered the room, and the hearing began. Nelson was brought in, looking sullen and defeated. He had already been found guilty of attempted murder on a pregnant woman, and we were there to hear his sentence. The judge wasted no time in handing down his decision. "Nelson, based on t

  • BILLIONAIRE'S HIRED BRIDE   CHAPTER 114: SO MUCH HATE

Naya’s POVI couldn't believe what had just happened. One moment, we were all sitting at the diner, laughing and chatting away, and the next, Nelson tried to convince my personal maid to poison me. What did I ever do to him? Why did he have to hate me so much? Sometimes, people just die without knowing that they are falling for a trap. The trap in my case was the one that Nelson set for me. But, I was lucky that the maid didn’t let it happen. Soon enough, Talon called Eric and he was in the house in no time. Eric slapped Nelson across the face when Talon narrated everything to him. The sound of the slap echoed through the room, and everyone fell silent. I was in shock, my eyes wide as I stared at Eric. Eric didn't say anything, just stood there with his jaw clenched. Nelson, on the other hand, looked stunned. He put a hand to his cheek, which was now red and stinging.Talon immediately went into action, trying to calm me down. "Hey, it's okay," he said, putting a hand on my shoulder.

Talon's POVThe maid who was supposed to bring extra food for Naya was delaying and I wasn’t finding it funny. Why was she taking so much time? Worse still, Nelson was in the kitchen with her. I didn’t want to think that Nelson was up to something bad. I didn’t think that way because I believed that he wouldn’t want to harm me in my own house. But, as time went on, Naya grew more and more impatient, and I could no longer try to calm her down. She just needed to be given food. She couldn't control the anger she was feeling inside. "Where is the maid? I'm starving. It's been an hour since she said she would bring me food,” Naya said in frustration.I got up from the couch and walked towards the dining room, curious to see what was going on. As I tried to enterthe kitchen, I saw the maid standing nervously by the door. She had a tray of food in her hands, but she seemed reluctant to bring it to Naya."Naya, the maid is here with your food," I said, trying to ease the tension in the ro

Talon's POVNaya apologized for leaving like that and told me everything. My heart swelled with relief and happiness as she poured out her heart to me. I was worried sick about her. But now, she was finally back in my arms and telling me everything that had happened. As I listened to her story, I couldn't help but worry if she was really fine. She seemed so vulnerable and fragile, and the thought of anything happening to her tore at my heartstrings. Even if she assured me that she was doing just fine, I couldn't completely believe her. The next day, I decided to do something special for Naya. I was going to get her an engagement ring, and marry her again without her knowledge. I knew it was a little unconventional, but I wanted to show her how much I loved her and how committed I was to our relationship. Naya’s POVWe watched a movie together. But Talon didn't trust Nelson at all and assumed that he was up to something.I tried to reassure Talon that he had nothing to worry about and that everything would be fine. But my relaxation was short-lived when I received a call from work. He knew that he had let his down, and he didn't know how to make things right. That was my own version of the look I saw on his face. I asked him why he hadn't been there for me when I needed him the most, and he told me that he was afraid of making things worse. I was taken aback by his response. I had never thought that Nelson was the kind of person who would be afraid of confronting his problems head-on.
